The day after my daughter turned 16 she was admitted at New Beginnings. This is certainly NOT the sweet 16 I had imagined. I had spent the last 9 months trying to figure out what was going on with my daughter. The night before her 16 birthday I located her with friend completely wasted to a dangerous level. She revealed she had a plan to kill herself so I immediately took her to the emergency room. She went to a hospital for a day or two until I could get her enrolled. A good friend was a drug and alcohol professional and recommended New Beginnings. It is hard to leave your child with strangers in another state but what other choice did I have? I knew this was a life or death situation. The staff took good care of her and helped her begin a journey of sobriety. It was not an easy journey for her or our family. The staff remained in close contact with us and tried to help us as a family. Most importantly they saved my daughter. This July she will celebrate her 6th year of sobriety. I could not be more grateful for this staff. Their attention to detail and care of my entire child was incredible. My daughter is alive, sober and thriving as a young adult because of these professionals.

HERO program is a VERY good treatment facility for Veterans. All of the staff were amazing. I am grateful for the staff's dedication to caring.

This facility really saved my life. I was in and out of psych hospitals from various drug overdoses and suicide attempts. After I was expelled from my high school, my addiction became extremely worse. after about two months of of extreme use of alcohol and opiates, i had my last drink and shot up for the first time. I went to a hospital with a BAC of .43. My mom found this treatment center when I was detoxing in a mental health facility. I finally agreed to go which was the beginning of my new life. Everyone at the facility got what i was going through. If you’re looking for a place to send your kid who is struggling with substance abuse i highly, highly recommend this place.

Very professional and friendly staff. Also very responsive. I'm usually contacted in less than 24 hours regarding appts or test results. Best VA clinic I've ever visited as a traveling vet.

The Licensing Department and Accreditation needs to be pull. State needs to step in and see why the high turn over when the recovery is not completed. It cannot be all the time the patient. Sometimes is very wrong. they threw my nephew out and gave him 30 min to be off the property. He is not really good at using his prosthetic leg and had to carry his bag and walk down the street until I arrive a 1 and 1/2 hour later. It was a long drive. refuse to let him use the phone to call me to come get him. Eventually woodlake will be sued by someone family members. woodlake needs to be INVESTIGATION, IT IS THE OF UPMOST URGENCY THAT THIS IS DONE.

It is a good rehabilitation center, I feel that I was not as lost as other patients I have seen, in the same way, they helped me.

This place saved my son’s life! SAVED HIS LIFE! My son was there for one year 2024-2025 and he completed the programs, classes meetings and then lived at Genesis Sober Living. He would be in jail or dead if it wasn’t for the Sanctuary. Chris M and the court judge always worked with my son to make sure he stayed on track. So many others can succeed with this type of program. I wish Texas had something like this. Thank you to anyone that worked with my son. Communities need this support program. Thank you ! If you can, go somewhere else. The staff here is rude and useless, they talk with a condescending attitude, roll their eyes at you when you ask for something, and on top of that they are so disorganized that they mess up the meds sometimes. AVOID coming here.

Well from patients running out, awhile back and as of late a shooting, involving cop and patient. A lot of secret crap going on. I do not recommend it.

This place is a nightmare. They preach That addiction should be treated as a disease that we are sick yet they place sole responsibility of failure on the patient while taking up all the success. Day in and day out I had questions and was told that my level of surrender was not adequate to recover. That "I was too smart to get it". When I finally decided that enough was enough and left I was shunned out not given a phone call and left the fin for myself While bombarded with people telling me that I was gonna relapse and die if I left. How is that for positive affirmation? This place uses barbaric practices which are outdated and coach families the tough love approach which hard science and research has shown a 13% success rate and the rest die. I was almost a statistic because of this place. Amazing, professional staff and the food is very good(2 things I did not expect but got)! The place is small and limited on patients which is good because you get more personal attention and more care given individually.

On December 5th, 2019 I walked into this treatment center and have been sober ever since. It wasn't easy at times, but Woodlake helped me see that it was a lot less complicated than I was making it! I followed the suggestions given and my life significantly improved in every way possible.

Absolutely amazing! The techs, nurses, counselors, all the best of the best! I 100% recommend Woodlake Abbeville! It's very comfortable and peaceful and you will leave a changed person! Everyone there has made a huge impact on my life because they never gave up on me! Thank you Woodlake!!

This was the best place i have been to they help me so much to get my life back on track and get my kids back. I would say if you really need help this is the place to go. Just got to want it for yourself. And your family not for anyone else. Work the steps.

I went to this treatment program and it was the best thing I ever did for my addiction. Longer programs are more effective and they reunited me with my child and I have had full custody of him for over 4 years now. This is the longest I've ever been clean from drugs 5 years now. People who talk down on this program obviously did not invest themselves in the program to get the true help they needed. Literally the best thing I ever did I'd probably be dead if I hadn't gone here when I did. Thank you to all the staff there who helped save my life!

I went to treatment here for about 4 months. I LOVED IT. I learned so much there, about addiction, parenting, how to be a decent human being etc. The staff are amazing.. they really go above and beyond, EVERY DAY, for their clients. Both of the Amys do such a great job at teaching the core classes and counseling to work on specific issues that have impacted your life. It’s a trauma informed environment. It’s also a sanctuary environment. I highly recommend IFW to any woman wanting help with her substance abuse issues because this place seriously changed my life. 100%.

This is an amazing program. I was a client. My bond with my son, and my overall confidence in being a mother, has improved tremendously. They will help heal the shattered parts of you, and untangle the webs of shame and trauma you've been caught up in.
