I never been sum1 to do drugs until recent n since then I've lost everything n didn't care about anything or anyone but that drug since then I even lost temp custody of my son due to drugs and I've tried n want to quit for a while even tried diff o.p. places that didn't helpn so far I' only been to 2 meetings at pathways 1 which was a assess for 4 hours but in that assess I talked to 3 diff people all that asked alot of ? N also that talked to me after we was done nI can tell u anyone who is looking n really wants to get clean should go here the counselor over Theo. P. Meetings is wonderful she cares and don't even attempt to judge u.. She gives me hope and shows she really wants to help me with my addiction no matter what... If only I could've met her sooner..i know now for sure I will be sober and she gives me hopes for me n my sons future She's awesome n ur addiction or past dnt matter she does not care u can see in her eyes she cares n even have to know you at all gives u hope

Amazing, professional staff and the food is very good(2 things I did not expect but got)! The place is small and limited on patients which is good because you get more personal attention and more care given individually.

I went to this treatment program and it was the best thing I ever did for my addiction. Longer programs are more effective and they reunited me with my child and I have had full custody of him for over 4 years now. This is the longest I've ever been clean from drugs 5 years now. People who talk down on this program obviously did not invest themselves in the program to get the true help they needed. Literally the best thing I ever did I'd probably be dead if I hadn't gone here when I did. Thank you to all the staff there who helped save my life!

I went to treatment here for about 4 months. I LOVED IT. I learned so much there, about addiction, parenting, how to be a decent human being etc. The staff are amazing.. they really go above and beyond, EVERY DAY, for their clients. Both of the Amys do such a great job at teaching the core classes and counseling to work on specific issues that have impacted your life. It’s a trauma informed environment. It’s also a sanctuary environment. I highly recommend IFW to any woman wanting help with her substance abuse issues because this place seriously changed my life. 100%.

This is an amazing program. I was a client. My bond with my son, and my overall confidence in being a mother, has improved tremendously. They will help heal the shattered parts of you, and untangle the webs of shame and trauma you've been caught up in.

Don’t waste your time. I said the word “depressed” and got PEC’d. Never went back, I now receive EMDR therapy and visit actual therapists!! Haven’t been PEC’d ever since either. They get paid to put you in the hospital so that is all that they will do for you. The counselors literally don’t know what to tell you. They pill you and lock you up in the hospital for being depressed but not being a threat to a single soul. Just needed a safe place for understanding. Found that elsewhere! Thankful they screwed up, I wouldn’t have found the right type of therapy if they hadn’t.

On December 5th, 2019 I walked into this treatment center and have been sober ever since. It wasn't easy at times, but Woodlake helped me see that it was a lot less complicated than I was making it! I followed the suggestions given and my life significantly improved in every way possible.

Absolutely amazing! The techs, nurses, counselors, all the best of the best! I 100% recommend Woodlake Abbeville! It's very comfortable and peaceful and you will leave a changed person! Everyone there has made a huge impact on my life because they never gave up on me! Thank you Woodlake!!

The day after my daughter turned 16 she was admitted at New Beginnings. This is certainly NOT the sweet 16 I had imagined. I had spent the last 9 months trying to figure out what was going on with my daughter. The night before her 16 birthday I located her with friend completely wasted to a dangerous level. She revealed she had a plan to kill herself so I immediately took her to the emergency room. She went to a hospital for a day or two until I could get her enrolled. A good friend was a drug and alcohol professional and recommended New Beginnings. It is hard to leave your child with strangers in another state but what other choice did I have? I knew this was a life or death situation. The staff took good care of her and helped her begin a journey of sobriety. It was not an easy journey for her or our family. The staff remained in close contact with us and tried to help us as a family. Most importantly they saved my daughter. This July she will celebrate her 6th year of sobriety. I could not be more grateful for this staff. Their attention to detail and care of my entire child was incredible. My daughter is alive, sober and thriving as a young adult because of these professionals.

HERO program is a VERY good treatment facility for Veterans. All of the staff were amazing. I am grateful for the staff's dedication to caring.

This facility really saved my life. I was in and out of psych hospitals from various drug overdoses and suicide attempts. After I was expelled from my high school, my addiction became extremely worse. after about two months of of extreme use of alcohol and opiates, i had my last drink and shot up for the first time. I went to a hospital with a BAC of .43. My mom found this treatment center when I was detoxing in a mental health facility. I finally agreed to go which was the beginning of my new life. Everyone at the facility got what i was going through. If you’re looking for a place to send your kid who is struggling with substance abuse i highly, highly recommend this place.

I adore the staff. Each person is kind, courteous, helpful and understanding. They helped me achieve the 7 years of sobriety that I have and am forever grateful.

This place saved my son’s life! SAVED HIS LIFE! My son was there for one year 2024-2025 and he completed the programs, classes meetings and then lived at Genesis Sober Living. He would be in jail or dead if it wasn’t for the Sanctuary. Chris M and the court judge always worked with my son to make sure he stayed on track. So many others can succeed with this type of program. I wish Texas had something like this. Thank you to anyone that worked with my son. Communities need this support program. Thank you ! I have worked in the substance use disorder and mental health field for many years and when I discovered Sanctuary Louisiana I never knew such a unique place existed in Louisiana. They offer three levels of therapeutic care, the traditional 28 Day Program, a halfway house (which are hard to find in Louisiana) and an IOP program. As another benefit sober living homes are available that are actually supervised with random drug screens. What is even more unique is that they have a highly qualified counseling and medical staff, find jobs for clients in the halfway house program instead of throwing in the world to find their own jobs and provide transportation to and from work. The whole spectrum of services provides a gradual exposure to life's stressors as opposed to 28 days and you are on your own. Long term treatment is what works for those with substance use disorders and those that complete the program have higher than average success rates in regards to sustained recovery. Substance use disorders don't develop overnight and years of addiction requires long term treatment as that is not overcome overnight either. Especially when most people with addictions have a substance use disorder and a mental health disorder, called co-occurring disorders All of the client's psychiatric and physical health needs are met as they provide medication management services with a PNP and an MD. It is a gem in plain sight.

Always helpful

Star was communicating with my mom to get me brought all the way from Oregon and answered any questions we had. I went in for alcohol treatment, I was VERY bad off and she helped set my moms mind at ease going through this. I unfortunately dont remember my first few days there during detox but today makes 235 days sober and im so grateful to have been placed in her hands. I recently brought my cousin there to detox as well and she was more than happy to answer my call and line everything up to make his process as pain free as possible. I cant thank the staff enough.

I don't have enough words to explain how thankful I am. They were so kind and explained everything. They checked on me often and made.sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. I was only here three days and they set me up on outpatient care in lake Charles. I can't believe this place was just an hour down the road. I have my life back and I am so grateful.
