I was addicted to narcotic pain medicine for over 13 years and my doctor that gote addicted got shut down for writing too many narcotic prescriptions then I moved to a different town and brought my records from previous doctor and none of the doctors I went to would give me any so I started buying them illegally on the streets every day. But when I started BAART 5 years ago I got off of all illegal drugs I done in my life and was no longer in excruciating pain when I didn't take narcotic pain pills. Their program changed my life for the better. The only problem I've had is every counselor they assign me gets to know me and then they change my counselor. I've had like 5 or 6 in 5 years.

I love this place really never had any mishaps but with tone of the nurses is my problem and my counselor Cameron is my Favorite And Nurse Blue And Nurse Angela my sweetheart and Dr.Slocum is sweet as well I love them very much and they are very very important and supportive of me and I'm grateful for everything that they Do.

I attended Pecan Haven several times over the past 2 years. I have struggled with the disease of addiction since I was 18 and I'm currently 29. Each and every time I arrived I was broken and scared for my life in drug induced phycosis from methamphetamine I was treated with the upmost care from the staff to the clients the atmosphere is amazing there. Loving and caring. The staff is a notch above the rest because they have been there too. They know both sides addiction and recovery. I've had three counselors from my multiple times there from Ms.Cassie to Mr.Brad to Ms.Brooke and each one of them gave me tools that I use in recovery today. The last time I went there I was in a prison of my own demons locked in a hotel by myself smoking meth scared to death. I reached out and Mr.Shadley Powell personally came and picked me up and got me in the same night within a hour. They got me placed in awesome sober living where I'm currently doing well and I will always be grateful for my experience with Pecan Haven 5 out 5 stars

The best! Compassionate, professional, and experienced. I have been receiving mental health and substance abuse services since 2015 from at least 7 different places in the area. I have been here at SBH since 2020 and this is by far the best. They helped me recover from 6 months of debilitating depression where I couldn't even get out of bed. I thought I was broken and in some ways I was. I had eyes but couldn't see. A heart but couldn't feel. A brain but couldn't think properly. Dr. Bosmia and the staff cared enough to try new things when I wasn't getting better. If you are reading this and you or someone you love needs help please don't give up. Pick up the phone. Make the call. Get help because it's available and there are those willing to help, I promise. I'm proof.

Absolute amazing place, great and helpful therapists, lots of interactive stuff like the OWL (outdoor wilderness learning center) and they brought us to playgrounds and stuff, the rooms were alright, I must say, some of the best food ever. Dr Bernaise’s rating is not just good, he is great. His rating is excellent on everything and my Down Syndrome daughter Angel loves him and looks forward to her visits with him.He really helps her on her everyday life and what she should do at home and when she has to go out. She has never had a psychiatrist that comes anywhere close to competing with Dr Christopher Bernaise. I turned to Victory when I was at the end of the road and felt I had nowhere else to turn. Victory gave me not only the chance to live again but also the tools to face life’s struggles and grow from them. Life hasn’t been perfect since Victory, but I’m a better person because of it.
I don’t think many people wake up excited to walk into an inpatient facility, but if I ever had to do it again, I’d want it to be here. The staff and patients truly felt like family. We grew together — supporting each other through every step. The days are structured and purposeful, filled with small groups, community sessions, and learning opportunities that all have meaning.
If you’re reading reviews wondering if this is the right place for you, give it a try. You can always leave if it’s not a fit — but you might not get another chance if you pass this one up. Victory helped save my life, and for that, I’ll always be grateful.

I was thinking about this place today for some reason. I spent 29 days here in 2015 or late 2014. Anyway I remember it was a very good program. The scenery is beautiful and many long walks around the facility. I was glad we could smoke as well. I remember going to the local Catholic Church nearby. Oh yes and the food was delicious. Females were there as well, but no peeking lol. Overall a good place if you wanna sober up and stay off the destructive path.

Woodlake changed my life. The staff there was very good to me and worked with me whenever I needed anything. Kevin James tells you exactly what you need to hear, and the people who can’t handle that sadly are probably just not ready to change their ways. I completed the 28 day program twice and spent over 90 days total. At first I didn't like it. They were strict and it was kinda of a tough love thing, I'm sure of that. But, I appreciated that tough love, structure, and accountability,because that is what I needed at the time. After I finished the 28 they found me a job that I really enjoyed and provided transportation to and from work .
At the N.A. , C.A. and alumni meetings , I came to realize that the people here really do care about me, you, and each other.They want nothing more than to see everyone succeed.They are truly one big family!

This is my son's second time at woodlake..he was clean about a year. With all the storms and hurricanes and pandemic caused him a relapse. Keke was the absolute best person ever. She was so helpful when I called about my little brother and I could tell by the tone in her voice she ACTUALLY cared. I feel like it's hard finding good employees that work in mental health but she was beyond amazing. If I could give her 10 stars, I would. She needs a RAISE!! They got my son on the right medication after having a horrible experience at another facility!! My son is actually doing a lot better after coming home from here. They stayed in touch with us, called us daily and gave updates. Was very impressed with them. Yes they have rules the kids need to follow, and that’s good because everything has rules. Yes they spent time in the group room watching a movie but that gave him time to think about what he did to get to where he was. I would highly recommend them!!
