Palmetto has been a blessing to my family!!

My experience at Palmetto was really good. The counselors and staff were amazing—so caring, supportive, and always willing to help whenever I needed it. They truly care about your recovery and make you feel comfortable and understood. What I really liked is that it’s not like you’re confined. You have freedom and responsibility—they take you to the store, you do your own shopping and cooking, and you live in a cabin with other females. It really feels more like a community than a program. If there’s ever an issue between clients or if someone feels uncomfortable, the staff is great about rearranging cabins so everyone feels safe and supported. Overall, Palmetto is a great place that helps you grow, learn, and get the support you need. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who’s ready to make a positive change in their life. I want to take a moment to thank all of the staff at Palmetto who made such a big impact on my life. Macy, my counselor—thank you for helping me see things in myself that I didn’t see before. You truly opened my eyes and helped me grow in so many ways. Ms. Denise and Ms. Diane, you are both truly amazing. Ms. Tamika and Kaylee, and all the nurses including Tucker, thank you for being there for me when I wasn’t feeling well and for taking such good care of me. Clint was really cool people and great to talk with. Ms. Liz, thank you so much for giving me rides to my doctor’s appointments, and Ms. Kim, I really appreciate you for doing the same. Every single one of you made a difference in my journey, and I’ll never forget the kindness, support, and encouragement you gave me. And one of my favorite parts was being by the bayou—it was so peaceful and relaxing. Sitting out there, fishing or just enjoying the view, really gave me time to reflect and heal. And having all the cats and dogs around and watching the deers in the woods every day we're very therapeutic . and Mr Stewart spiritual Stewart you are wonderful person to talk to and thank you Chris for setting up my IOP here in Shreveport hope to have money there before too long and thank you for letting us have that Halloween gathering I enjoyed it very much Miss Holly even though I didn't get to meet you you were on a very fine facility and I would definitely recommend it to several people.

Rays of Sonshine is the best community organization in our area. They are doing so much to help save the lives of many people!!!

Rays of Sonshine is a minimum 6 month Drug/Alcohol treatment facility for women with children up the age of 11 or women without children. It is a Faith based program that provides information to assist in spiritual growth, heathy eating, exercise and a new way of life!!!

I adore the staff. Each person is kind, courteous, helpful and understanding. They helped me achieve the 7 years of sobriety that I have and am forever grateful.

I have spent a lot of time and trips to several of the VAs of La. A lot with my brother and on my own and with a dear friend of my father. I’ve had one bad experience 40 or more years ago and that was in Jackson Ms. I’ve watched my brother die recently and as I look back l saw only respect and professionalism. I’ve had several visits recently and in years past. I have only complaint and that would be trying to do anything by phone. The Shreveport, Monroe, and Alexandra have been great. On several occasions when asking for directions l would be shown not told how to get to a location . When I thru they maybe waiting to show you the destination. I say THANK YOU for your service ! They sometimes are treated badly and talked down to . I l give them a ##### five star even if you have to deal with the phone cluster!! M

I have been going to the Monroe VA Clinic since it opened around July 2009. Before they moved into the new clinic, I went to the VA Clinic that was out on DeSiard Street near Swartz for about 5-6 years. I have had both good and bad experiences over the years. For the most part, good. I agree that sometimes the wait can be excessive especially when you have a set appointment and are not a walk-in. Some of the doctors take too long with patients, while their other scheduled patients sit and wait on them for hours. Of course, if they are short-staffed the wait is going to be longer, but this is not something that we should take out on them. And alternatively, the employees should not direct the stress that they experience toward Veterans or each other when this happens. It's a hit and miss. I have experienced the best and worst sides of the Monroe VA Clinic, but for the most part my care has been exceptional and most employees I have encountered have been respectful and always thank me for my service. There is always room for improvement not only in this particular clinic, but with some of the employees and also within ourselves. After all, no one is perfect and neither is the VA System. It's about adjusting and adapting to any situation and making the best of it. I will add that sometimes I may get upset about the wait time, but, my health is much more important than the wait time and my doctor is extremely thorough when it comes to my care.

I arrived at the mission on November 30, 2018 broken and lost, an addict with no sense of direction and 17 years of self medicating. I joined the one year program then graduated to the internship program for another year. Once I completed my internship I became a staff member which lead to another four years. What the mission gave I could never repay. I found christ and letting him into my life as been the best and most rewarding experience. I now have a relationship with christ and first put God first in every decision I make. Now God is restoring family back into my life, Thanks to all the donor that makes it possible to help people in need. I will always be so grateful for what the mission has done for me . The mission has gave me HOPE again Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you , says the Lord . They are plans for good and not disaster , to give you a future and a hope... The mission will always hold dear to my heart . The mission and letting God into my life as given me life again And thanks to all the stuff that help in the process of 6 years of being at the mission Love all of yall .

Always helpful

I wanted to express my gratitude to SARH for the care my mom received while there. I will probably forget a few people but wanted to thank Angel and her team on the 3rd floor for the exceptional care. Mom was later transferred to rehab on the 2nd floor where she also had exceptional care. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to some of her care team, Ms Kim and Mr Gene - YOU TWO were angels and honestly made each day the best! Mom still talks about you both. Thank you to OT and PT for also taking such good care of mom. Everyone was very compassionate and for that I’m grateful. Last but definitely not least I want to thank Dr Smart for his compassion and care he gave mom while in his care, you are the best and appreciated. Thank you again SARH for taking such good care of my mom!

In and out very quick..just had to get x rays.

Last month I was in the Camden ER and I was with a friend while they were providing him care. All of the nurses at the Camden ER were so professional and understanding. We were given quick and competent care. Leigh and Johnathon were some of the nurses we seen and they made sure we were taken care of. Glad we have a great facility like this in Camden.

I went to this treatment program and it was the best thing I ever did for my addiction. Longer programs are more effective and they reunited me with my child and I have had full custody of him for over 4 years now. This is the longest I've ever been clean from drugs 5 years now. People who talk down on this program obviously did not invest themselves in the program to get the true help they needed. Literally the best thing I ever did I'd probably be dead if I hadn't gone here when I did. Thank you to all the staff there who helped save my life!

I went to treatment here for about 4 months. I LOVED IT. I learned so much there, about addiction, parenting, how to be a decent human being etc. The staff are amazing.. they really go above and beyond, EVERY DAY, for their clients. Both of the Amys do such a great job at teaching the core classes and counseling to work on specific issues that have impacted your life. It’s a trauma informed environment. It’s also a sanctuary environment. I highly recommend IFW to any woman wanting help with her substance abuse issues because this place seriously changed my life. 100%.

This is an amazing program. I was a client. My bond with my son, and my overall confidence in being a mother, has improved tremendously. They will help heal the shattered parts of you, and untangle the webs of shame and trauma you've been caught up in.

To me if I like this place, it is broad, it allows you to meditate and clarify your mind. I have never had problems with the staff. Everything is fine.

Amazing, professional staff and the food is very good(2 things I did not expect but got)! The place is small and limited on patients which is good because you get more personal attention and more care given individually.
