My experience at Palmetto was really good. The counselors and staff were amazing—so caring, supportive, and always willing to help whenever I needed it. They truly care about your recovery and make you feel comfortable and understood. What I really liked is that it’s not like you’re confined. You have freedom and responsibility—they take you to the store, you do your own shopping and cooking, and you live in a cabin with other females. It really feels more like a community than a program. If there’s ever an issue between clients or if someone feels uncomfortable, the staff is great about rearranging cabins so everyone feels safe and supported. Overall, Palmetto is a great place that helps you grow, learn, and get the support you need. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who’s ready to make a positive change in their life. I want to take a moment to thank all of the staff at Palmetto who made such a big impact on my life. Macy, my counselor—thank you for helping me see things in myself that I didn’t see before. You truly opened my eyes and helped me grow in so many ways. Ms. Denise and Ms. Diane, you are both truly amazing. Ms. Tamika and Kaylee, and all the nurses including Tucker, thank you for being there for me when I wasn’t feeling well and for taking such good care of me. Clint was really cool people and great to talk with. Ms. Liz, thank you so much for giving me rides to my doctor’s appointments, and Ms. Kim, I really appreciate you for doing the same. Every single one of you made a difference in my journey, and I’ll never forget the kindness, support, and encouragement you gave me. And one of my favorite parts was being by the bayou—it was so peaceful and relaxing. Sitting out there, fishing or just enjoying the view, really gave me time to reflect and heal. And having all the cats and dogs around and watching the deers in the woods every day we're very therapeutic . and Mr Stewart spiritual Stewart you are wonderful person to talk to and thank you Chris for setting up my IOP here in Shreveport hope to have money there before too long and thank you for letting us have that Halloween gathering I enjoyed it very much Miss Holly even though I didn't get to meet you you were on a very fine facility and I would definitely recommend it to several people.

Ms. Michelle was/is a natural leader and mediator. Darren, " black counselor", and Mr. Fletcher remained level headed and firm with staff and clients. Mr. Marvin is very considerate and calming on your way to and from rayville. Oan: hope I never need to return (unless it's to take Darren's job😅😁😀) oh, and Ms. Karon is one of the most leveled headed, straight forward, counselors there. I enjoyed her group (even with the coffee restrictions she abides by😌😉)

We just completed one a few days ago on how great Dr Christopher Bernaise and his staff are and how much Angel loves him. Dr Bernaise’s rating is not just good, he is great. His rating is excellent on everything and my Down Syndrome daughter Angel loves him and looks forward to her visits with him.He really helps her on her everyday life and what she should do at home and when she has to go out. She has never had a psychiatrist that comes anywhere close to competing with Dr Christopher Bernaise. Please give him all of the praise and of course a great raise on what he does for Glenwood and his patients.

I have to admit I felt quite nervous about my stay at Serenity Springs Specialty Hospital. It was the first employee that changed everything for me. That lady at the front desk was extremely professional, well-groomed, and her warm demeanor calmed my nerves as she assured me this marked the start of my recovery process. I was beside myself. Everyday she checked in on me because she wanted me to feel safe and secure The staff demonstrated a generally pleasant attitude, with the recognition that every organization can benefit from continuous improvement. While I had some reservations about the food, a counselor's kindness and support were truly exceptional. These two experiences were particularly memorable, and I felt better once I left. I don’t always have a lot of confidence in myself. I was ready to give up. Now i feel better about why i was struggling and I’m not alone. I’m going to trust the process.

I honestly was just telling my wife about this place and I have mixed feelings on all 3 reviews left because I do remember how I felt going and being there but nothing's changed honestly the workers are still the same and the kids going will still be the same the system didn't change much the structure needed from that place only comes if you want it or allow it man I think about what my 15/16 year old self was like and owe this place a abundantly large apology from Mr Deen the owner at that time or head person to Mr Marty we was young and hand no full understanding of what life was going to be if we continued the path we was on was drugs the answer no was shoe taking no outside time the answer is no that's all they can do to show consequences at that time the padded room the straight jacket when you to out of control the thorazine and Seroquel man listen thinking back now them the only options I gave them ppl who was trying to help me understand myself do I recommend this place still in my heart yes I do because when life finally catches you and you finally reflex you come to the same conclusion we need this place more than we knew at that time it's a reason we was there it's definitely your family's responsibility to help you in life some of them failed us this place picked us up while being lost and tried to fix us with tools they had I turned out still a messed up individual with Alot of things that I still hold to the chest because who would understand I am far better on this path thinking back on places like this so again hopefully this helps someone else makes a decision on wether or not to send a loved one or not here

While I was young I hated the place. But now as an adult I understand the need for it. It teaches structure and teaches you how to respect authority. These kids need that. However id only recommend this place for the worst behaved children.
