I went to swift river back in March. When discharging from rehab I had a hard time finding a place that took my insurance. I had a quick intake on the phone with compass and they took me right away right as I discharged from rehab. All the counselors were very welcoming and super nice. What’s nice about compass is all the counselors have been through the same experience as the patients there. They are very relatable and supportive and that makes the experience 100 times easier. I’m so glad out of all the places in the area I picked compass if I didn’t go through with this program with the structure they gave me. I would have been so lost with going through early recovery alone. They are the perfect place to get you started on the path to recovery. Will forever be grateful for compass!

My wife had to go to the ER Sunday 10/25 with extremely high blood pressure and light headed-ness which she was describing as dizziness. She recently had open heart surgery so that was very concerning. We got there approx. 12:45 and were admitted immediately as there was no one waiting ahead of us. After an initial screening by the ER nurse she was seen by the er doctor at approx 1:15. He was exceptional. Thoughtful, thorough and asked many clarifying questions that made important distinctions. She wasn't really experiencing dizziness which is an important distinction. She was given an ekg, cat scan, fluids and blood tests. This all took approx 2 hours. The doctor returned approx.2 hours later after getting all the results and ruled out the most serious possibilities. He said he would have someone taker her vitals while standing and give her another bag of fluids. When that was finished someone would take her vitals while standing again and if she could tolerate that without symptoms she could be released. This is where we began to lose our patience. No one returned for several hours. There was a shift change and we were not very nice to the new nurse and also the doc. But after sitting for 8 hours in the room I decided to go outside for a walk and as I passed through the waiting room I understood why. It was chock full. There was also a code blue at some point during our last wait for care. I am sincerely sorry for the impatience we showed at the end of our stay. It wasn't warranted certainly based on the quality and level of care we DID receive. I hope someone at CD monitors reviews and can give the ER staff our sincere apology and expression of appreciation.

I cannot thank the entire team at Cooley Dickinson Hospital enough for the care, compassion, and support I received throughout my labor and delivery. Every single person who played a part in my experience made a difference, and I am truly grateful for each and every one of you. All the nurses were absolutely wonderful, caring, compassionate, and attentive. They made sure I felt supported, comfortable, and cared for throughout the entire process. Their kindness, patience, and dedication meant so much to me during such an important and vulnerable moment in my life. Thank you to the nurses, midwives, doctors, X-ray staff, CAT scan staff, transporters, phlebotomists and everyone else who assisted me along the way. A special thank-you to Roger and Aaron from the ICU for your care and support. You are all appreciated more than words can express! Labor and delivery can be an overwhelming experience, but having a team of people who genuinely care makes all the difference. I am beyond grateful for the amazing people who helped me through this journey and made sure I was cared for every step of the way. Five stars are not enough to express my gratitude! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I 100% recommend Cooley Dickinson Hospital to anyone looking for a caring, compassionate, and supportive labor and delivery team.
