It s hard to believe that in a couple of months it will be two years since I walked into the doors of Center for Discovery Congress. My time at CFD was truly transformative. From the moment I arrived, I was met with warmth, compassion, and an incredible level of care. The staff therapists, dietitian, and counselors were not only knowledgeable but deeply invested in my healing journey and SO extremely patient with me.What made my experience so impactful was the holistic approach to recovery. They didn t just focus on my eating disorder; they helped me address the underlying trauma that contributed to it. Through specialized trauma work, I was able to process past experiences in a safe and supportive environment. The therapy sessions, whether group or one-on-one, gave me the tools to navigate my emotions, build resilience, and truly begin healing from the inside out.Beyond the incredible care, one of the most meaningful parts of my journey was the connections I formed with others in treatment. Being surrounded by individuals who truly understood my struggles created a sense of belonging I had never felt before. The friendships I built during my time at CFD became a source of strength and encouragement, reminding me that I was never alone in this process. We supported each other through the ups and downs, celebrated victories big and small and formed bonds that will last a lifetime.The environment itself was nurturing and free of judgment, allowing me to focus entirely on recovery. Every meal was a step forward, supported by professionals who understood the complexities of my struggles. They gave me the tools to helped start rebuilding my relationship with food, my body, and most importantly, myself.Center for Discovery Congress gave me hope when I felt lost. They empowered me with the strength and skills to move forward, not just in my recovery from an eating disorder, but in my overall healing from trauma. I was at Center for Discovery for 5 and a half months. Out of all the 31 treatment places I have been this one was by far the best. The staff are amazing and so caring and really have all the clients best interest in mind. You are not just another client you become part of the congress house where everyone cares so deeply about everyone. The staff go above and beyond to make sure that everyone is getting the right treatment that is good for them. I liked how individualized each person s treatment was. I am very lucky that I got to have Angela as my therapist. Angela helped me in more ways than I could ever express. This in it s own shows how amazing and devoted the staff are to ensuring each person s recovery. Angela was going on call (leaving as the full time therapist) but stayed an extra three months to be my therapist until I discharged. The clinical director Sam took vacation days so that Angela could come in and see me (technically Angela wasn t supposed to come in because she was on call). because Sam knew how important it was for my recovery to continue the work with Angela. I have never been to any other treatment center that would do that or even think about doing that. That in itself made a huge impact on me that they were willing to go out of their ways to ensure I get the best possible treatment. Sam is an amazing clinical director and I really look up to her a lot. Some of the staff have been there for 8-10 years which is rare for ed treatment centers. That in itself shows how great Sam is. The groups were all great as well and the counselors are all amazing. I learned so many coping skills that I implement into my everyday life. You can also check in with your therapist as many times as you need and you can also check in with the other therapist s as well. Dorcas and all the nurses are also amazing and go above and beyond to make sure that everyone is okay. Dr. B the medical doctor is the best doctor I have ever met in my life. I looked forward to seeing her every week!If you have the opportunity to go to this specific cfd location I 100% recommend it! It is honestly life changing.

This is my second time coming to CFD Congress Location, I had left AMA the first time and it was the WORST decision of my life. I relapsed almost immediately but this made me realize that unlike other treatment programs, this program works HARD to heal deeper psychological situations contributing to your eating disorder. From every counselor (Allyson, Katie, Rosa, Jordan, Kim, Tasha, etc) , nurse (Aiasha, Dorcas, Debbie, Tiana, Shantel, etc.) therapist (Angela, Saer, Melissa, Lauren) to dietician (Simone) they work to know every aspect of your person in order to appropriately treat you. The work toward recovery is long, difficult, and emotionally exhausting but the staff AND program director (Samantha) are there for you in the wink of an eye. There is a camaraderie between the patients and staff that is not present in ANY other program; where they just check a list for recovery as if it is an equation. Staff works with insurance to make sure you have adequate enough time to truly heal and recover physically and mentally. When the world feels unsafe, this house is a safe haven for those with eating disorders and trauma. This program also prepares you to continue your recovery in the outside world where you may be surrounded by a toxic culture or environment. True recovery and freedom from your eating disorder begins at CFD Congress location.

As a clinical social worker running a local group practice, I regularly collaborate and refer clients to Mountainside Treatment Center. Their staff has always been exceptional, especially Courtney Hulse and Dan Sexton, who go above and beyond in tailoring their treatment plans for each client and family. Mountainside serves as a tremendous resource, providing quality substance abuse treatment that is critically needed here on Long Island. We are enthusiastic about continuing to work with Mountainside to best serve our community and families. Thank you for all you do Mountainside. Highly recommend!

My experience with Mountainside has been nothing but positive. Jessica Leone has been key in my recovery. She consistently has a positive attitude, provides great insights and experiences. Jessica listens well and challenges me. She is open whenever needed and feels like one of my biggest supporters. I appreciate all that she does.

Where do I even begin? Steve Dixon and Julia Purcaro have single handedly saved my life. Hands down. Being 18 years old and already in recovery, they have given me every possible skill to succeed in life and have set me up for pure success. Couldn t be more grateful, and fortunate to have them by my side. Mountainside is amazing!

I only like this place for the staff please give Libby, Sofia, Brittney, Julia, Erica, Abby, Leah, SHAWTY BAE, Mattigan, Liz, Felicia, Gill, Kennesha I guess, My pookies Shayna and Jean and Ashlynn( idk how to spell) all 20% raises and a 10k bonus for being awesome.

My experience with Turnbridge was excellent. My 15 year old son first entered Woodbury and then the extensive care program in New Haven. In 6 months of rehab at Turnbridge they did a great job and today my son is with me in Argentina already returning to High School and continuing rehab with Argentine addiction specialists. I want to highlight 3 people, who in the order I mention them were very important for the emotional support and understanding of the situation I was going through. They are: Mark Adamski, Noah Richmond, Justin Alter. Very grateful

We are so thankful to Turnbridge for helping to heal our family. Each member of our son s team was caring, supportive and compassionate. The parent support groups led by Lauren were a lifeline for us and got us through unimaginable pain. To know we weren t alone and that there was hope was an incredible blessing.

I've never dealt with a VA hospital before, and so didn't know what to expect when my father started using their services. I have to say that we have been extremely pleased with what we've experienced.In addition to the very satisfactory medical care he received, another thing that was impressive was the respect with which they treat the veterans. I saw this not only with my father, but with others who I saw in the halls during our visits to their ER and other offices. You could tell that the care they gave sprung from appreciation for their service.Both the doctors and the nurses were always there for us when we needed them. They both made house calls and the nurses were there for us 24/7-- even for emergency house calls in the wee hours of the night/morning.Everything we experienced in our years of interactions with the VA left me with a feeling that socialized medicine could indeed work if done properly. That's not meant to be a political statement, but just an observation of truly good service coming from a government-run agency.My dad recently passed away, so I really want to thank the Northport VA for their service to him. It made a big difference to him and those of us caring for him. I don't know what we would have done without them.

Veterans Administration Hospital

Westport House is well managed and well run. It has all the amenities you could ask for, with resources to get every aspect of your life back on track. The management and staff cares about you, and that's important when trying to better yourself. They really give you an upper hand. I hope I don't need to, but I would recommend anyone to stay here to get their life back on track, and I would again in a heartbeat.

After years of trying everything we could think of, my wife and I finally found Westport House. Our son was admitted quickly and efficiently, and, from that point on, our experience was incredible. After a couple of months we saw a noticeable change in our son. The staff was very timely in their correspondence with us and always treated us appropriately. During his time there, our son became actively involved in Alcoholics Anonymous, obtained employment, and began treating us and others with a level of respect we did not know he was capable of. He stayed there for 7 months, and I can say, it was very much worth every penny. Our son is still sober today and continues to attend the AA meetings that he went to during his time at Westport House. We cannot thank Westport House enough for giving us our son back. After 7 painful years, the change that he was able to make in his life is incredible, and it is all thanks to the great staff and services at Westport House.

After being in and out of many different rehabs, it was at Westport House that I learned how to live a brand new life. The staff was kind, loving, and compassionate. They showed me the way up and out of the horrible rut I was in. They also helped my family understand addiction, and what they needed to do to help me, and themselves. The atmosphere is relaxed, comfortable, and the incredibly supportive! Being able to see their therapists and clinical team was also essential in aiding my recovery. I'm so grateful for the life Westport House gave me.

I was a patient in the speech memory clinic and my therapist Mary Kate is amazing. She was not only my therapist but someone I could talk to and was so instrumental in my care. I have the utmost respect for her. She always went out of her to accommodate me so I can receive weekly therapy and is so nice.

Their cafeteria has the BEST PIZZA EVER! Worth the trip to CT!! The closest to Naples pizza I ever tasted. Very authentic. Highly reccomended!

It was great until all the hiring freezes, then they expect veterans to get treated via referral in the community, which could be done better if the VA shared information with them. The care is amazing when they are not overworked and understaffed. They need more specialists and less bureaucratic paper pushers. Also the cafeteria food went downhill and isn't good enough to be charging $9/$10 for a turkey sandwich on white bread or two pieces of fish the size of my thumb. No one really likes that dry ass food anyway unless they are desperate.

Saved my life

Staff was very helpful and patient. I ve been to multiple programs similar to this one and have never seen such a clean building let alone dealt with people that work there that actually act like they care would definitely recommend over any other place in Connecticut from my personal experience.

My coach is candid and helpful, they work hard and are always available. Proper recommendations, meets me where I'm at, and has good feedback. Very grateful

I've been to several treatment centers on my path to sobriety. This is the only one that truly cared. The treatment they provide is what sets them apart from the other programs I went to. They even did some family counseling that helped my wife and I repair the marital damage that was done when I was drinking. Thank you Mountainside, Forever Grateful.

It is really nice place , staff is understandings and easy going I think is a home warming environment place.

MCCA mcdonough was my 4th rehab and probably my last chance to get sober. It was the best place for me to come to in the state I was in and honestly Jenni, Heather, and Michelle are THE best counselors I ve ever met and worked with out of all the rehabs I ve been to. They believed in me when I didn t believe in myself. And they all go above and beyond to help any client with whatever they can. They are the reason I have remained so connected to the program, as well as helping me get back on my feet and in sober living and building a community and network in recovery. I have seen some positive reviews here but I ve also seen some negative, and it s a shame those people didn t have the experience I did because these counselors not only saved my life but they have changed it and me for the better. I don t know where I would be right now without their help, guidance, and assistance, and I fully plan on doing everything in my power to stay clean so I can come back one day, share my story for their groups to show that recovery is possible, the program works, and if you allow these amazingly generous women to help you that you too can have a life beyond your wildest dreams.

They are by far one of the best places and the staff is very kind and helpful. I personally have to thank them for all for my husbands well being Till this day I thank you all. Great job, and the patience you all have and understanding is amazing.

Just want to say that I'm extremely grateful for mcca and all the ways that the staff members helped me out. So grateful to have my life back, free from the bondage of alcohol,and drugs. But a special shout out to Heather she is the best counselor I could have even imagined, Heather has such a special place in my heart and has motivated me in not just my recovery but also In my life. she is viciously determined to get her clients on the right path and all the people she comes into contact with. I have never seen a one woman army untill I met Heather. She truly is a leader. With great social skills .Heather will sit down in the middle of any day at any time no matter how busy she is ,and make you feel like your the only person in the world. I owe my recovery every ounce of effort due to the love this woman has poured into me and my life. Tomorrow I will wake up , and be two months clean!!! In a new town ,with two jobs, my rent paid up ,and Love In my heart again not just for myself but also for other because of Heather alone.heather is definitely #1 in my book.

I never imagine I d find myself at the Derby Mcca, but I m so glad I did. Despite my initial anxiety, I was met with an incredible level of care and understanding from everyone I encountered. From the warm smile at the front desk to the helpful quest staff and, most importantly, my counselor, the experience exceeded all my expectations. My counselor was not only knowledgeable, but also exceptionally kind, compassionate, and nonjudgmental. She made a stressful process much easier by working around my busy schedule, going above and beyond to ensure our sessions fit into my life. The team at Mcca creates an environment where you feel supported, valued, and never judged. Their hard work and empathy make all the difference during trying times. MCCA Derby has been a great support during the journey. Staff is knowledgeable/compassionate and will help you find auxiliary service if needed. The location is convenient and the hours of offerings for those with daytime fulk time jobs. You get out of it what you put into.The Director Ray did a thorough intake. Amanda who ran my group, was always punctual, sympathetic, organized and kept things on track. Highly recommend

Beautiful facility for a healing environment, knowledgeable professionals, and life altering care. Their adolescent unit K House is phenomenally designed for optimal recovery and continue academics along w/ state the art practices. Their dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) program has highly trained staff and practitioners to optimize therapy outcomes.

Great program if you want sobriety. New Era is the best clinic in Ct. They have 2 of the best counselors and the best people in the clinic. I have been here at least 15 years. A long time and I am so grateful to them. Stay clean and stay safe!!!!

Best clinic I ve been to. Clean, quiet, staff is amazing and go above and beyond. Especially Fran, she is so good at her job. Genuinely enjoy coming here and seeing them. My only thing is like to change is update the hours online and the answering service, they take. A little bit to get back to you bc the calls are forwarded first. But other than that I enjoy being a client here. Def. Recommend if you re in the New Haven area or Bridgeport.

Dental clinic I would say that it is the best I have attended all very friendly, I had the cleaning with Rosemary and it was great very understanding even though I was very nervous.I had an extraction doctor Vesali Meherana and it was the best experience I've had very understanding and good hand I didn't feel pain and everything was fast!

My dentist Meherana Vesali and her assistant are amazing, very kind and professional, they treat you nice, they understand the patient, I just love them so much, I want to thank them for always doing great job from their heart,God bless themMillion thanks again.

Waited over an hour in line for a Covid test on 12/23/21. Though the wait was long, the entire staff was amazing. From the security crew managing the line outside the building to the clinical folks conducting the test, they were all so very helpful, professional, and courteous. Thanks for your service!
