The reason I’m giving this place a 5-star review is because of the amazing people I met while I was staying there. First, I want to give a big shout-out to a few of the PCCs and staff members who truly made a difference. Stacy—thank you so much for your patience, understanding, and kindness. I truly hope you achieve everything you’re working toward. You would make an incredible counselor. The way you treated us with respect, compassion, and genuine care says so much about your work ethic and your character. Ash and Mike S - thank you for your patience and for always treating us with love, kindness, and respect. You made us feel like human beings, and that means more than you know. Stephan, Johnny, Gary, and Antwo—thank you for everything. The list of people I appreciate could honestly go on. Joe—you’re the man! Thank you for helping me even when you didn’t have to. And to my counselor, James—I’m truly grateful that our paths crossed. Thank you for your guidance and support. To anyone considering coming here: if you’re serious about getting help, staying focused on your goals, and working on your sobriety, you can absolutely succeed here. One thing I learned is that treating others with respect goes a long way. This isn’t a resort, so don’t expect a different meal every day or luxury accommodations. Like any program, there are some downsides, but for me, there were far more positives than negatives. I left with valuable lessons, support, and hope. At the end of the day, recovery starts with you and with the mindset you choose to have. Thank you to everyone who helped me during my stay. I truly appreciate everything you did, and I wish you all nothing but the best.

i spent a month and a half at elevate point, and my experience has been incredibly welcoming. providers are warm, and believe in you. the facility is designed with a calming presence of comfortable couches, pastel green walls decorated with plant art, warm orange lights, a big patio for outside class, TV, and snacks with variety of beverages. as a woman with autism, this setting feels inviting rather than traditional clinical rooms that are bland & lack personality. there is also art therapy, yoga/meditation room, an addiction coach, nurse, psychiatrist, couples & family therapist, and they rotate as facilitators for group therapy sessions. you feel a part of a community, with clients & providers offering compassion rather than judgment. you learn the baby and big steps to love yourself here. things run on a consistent schedule, and my therapist (the program director) has been incredibly supportive to my extenuating circumstances and needs. my life would have gone very downhill if not for her and the program’s abundance in coping strategies, advice, & education. the routine aspect is the push you need to get back on your feet. make it a point to be on time or early, because it affects you and the group’s ability to use the time to be productive & not disrupt other’s moment to share details of their journey & offer you feedback. (i was late often due to personal challenges, but the effort & discipline i put to be there on time, despite that, has made it a lot easier for me to be early at my new job which is a big deal! it means that my efforts didn’t go nowhere.) group sessions, whether you are there 5 days a week or once, offer ample time to say what’s been challenging and how we can navigate together. you don’t just vent and go home. all walks of life come here & that is refreshing. relapses are not met with punishment, and honesty and vulnerability are respected. group also has psychoeducation, and it’s empowering to receive the brain & body knowledge to understand yourself. activities are everyday too, so that you can practice or play to connect. it’s not like a strict 10-step program. wellness is viewed holistically, so we learn about things like gut health and learn where we may have deficiencies. something that gave me the most hope was learning here that the brain is malleable, so we can hold onto the fact that anyone is capable to succeed and grow right where they’re starting, even if you have faced health damage that seems irreparable. there is access to medication & a comprehensive assessment so that you aren’t prescribed a generalized pill that doesn’t make sense for you. in my hardship they have been incredibly accommodating. thank you to elevate point for changing my life and making mental health and addiction treatment feel like a journey and not just a setback. can’t tell you how much advice i got here is staying with me for life. this one’s for the books! :-) <3

My Son was sent here. He told me they treated him with respect in the psychiatric center. He said they seem to be very caring unlike Coney Island Hospital, where they nearly choked him to death, and the staff is extremely rude there. Bottom line is more needs to be done for our loved ones. Hospitals need more funding . unfortunately this hospital now is going to be a city hospital. Hopefully it doesn't go downhill. And for the staff, please remember our loved ones can't help the way they act when they are brought in. You took an oath to take care of them. Continue to do so.🙏

I’ve been with IDCC for nearly 2 years and have had a mostly positive experience - shoutout to therapists Brianda Gosselin-Hickey and Shirley Segarra! I do virtual therapy with IDCC so I can’t speak to their in-person services and facility. Many pros: seamless virtual and consistent sessions, easy scheduling/rescheduling and coverage when a therapist is out of office, helpful text reminders for upcoming sessions, multi-lingual therapists, and kind, supportive mental health professionals here. The billing can be slow, but there hasn’t been any major issues or overcharges like I’ve experienced with other clinics. I’m knocking 1 star for the admin chaos though - every few months case mangers reach out for documentation updates, often overlapping in their outreach, which causes a lot of confusion and frustration. I understand IDCC needs to stay up-to-date on certain client docs, but the outreach is just so disorganized and frequent. Even once I’ve completed the required docs with one case manager, another will reach out and often outside of my communicated availability. As personable as the case managers are, there seems to be internal disorganization and miscommunication that needs to be addressed. Overall, I recommend IDCC for mental health support.

I interned here as a therapist 5 years ago and it was a fantastic clinical experience. The entire staff truly does care about the patients and their intake system as well as their team meetings and trainings were top notch, speaking as someone who now works in the field. I would recommend them 100%

Coming into this office today for the first time was like a breath of fresh air. It was 101° today and I sat comfortably in a cool office with a very thorough, professional staff. The wait time was meh, but honestly my own time management made up for that because I didn't make any other plans. Dr. Barry is a great listener and her nurses are on the ball. Esther is a great vampire. One stick and done. I'm grateful. Congratulations to myself on finding better physician.

The staff here is always so kind and welcoming and non judgmental. Few doctors’ offices truly feel like safe spaces, but the staff here has worked hard to achieve a safe and welcoming environment for their patients. Special shoutout to Esther, Suzette, and Dr. Gladys! The team here is phenomenal and deserves all the praise in the world - you will be in the best possible hands for your care :)
