So I want to let anyone know who is looking into treatment Banyan was such a fantastic experience for me. I owe them such a debt of GRATITUDE. I am a middle-aged woman with kids who was struggling with drinking - life was just sad for me due to some pretty terrible trauma-I knew I needed to make a change and I came to Banyan. I was scared & ashamed. They treated me with such kindness. The program was well structured & professional. The financial obligation was manageable. Everyone there continues to check on my progress. I have completely been sober since I left and have a completely new life - A+ Banyan. I continue to have great friendships from my time there. Here is one thing i say to people who ask me about getting sober. I have not met one person -not one single person -who regrets getting sober. Banyan in lisle iL, is absolutely amazing! From the 30 day residential to the PHP THEY WERE SO WECOMING! The classes and groups are great. PHP is awesome to they take us to church, grocery shopping, Walmart, and we do events!!! I would highly recommend this place to anyone getting sober.

Sarah G. is quite possibly one of the nicest, most caring, most capable, smartest, and trustworthy professionals I’ve ever seen. The office staff can be pleasant, the setting is confidential, & the payment/billing process is streamlined & simplified for your convenience. When I first went there I was quite nervous & inquired about a few things I was unsure of. Sarah explained them all in full which is something I’ve never received at any other medical facility. The staff there are always on top of things when I arrive. They know what my care entails & are quick to assist in anyway possible. After dealing with the loss of a dear friend, I couldn't cope. I had hit my rock bottom mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I was admitted into the dual diagnosis program and it truly saved my life. I have tried for years to heal myself and nothing has worked until my time at Linden Oaks. My care team was fantastic. Everyone was invested in my growth and was more than willing to work with my needs/time off from work. This is a powerful place of healing and I could not be anymore grateful for my time there. ❤️

I was recently in inpatient care for a manic episode. I've been to 2 other hospitals in other parts of Illinois. I kept calling this place the "Ritz Carlton" or at the very least, a 4 star hotel. The hospital food is fantastic. After your first 24 hours, most people are able to go over to the cafeteria to select your own food. The lunch & dinner menu were the same, but they had an amazing variety (e.g. Chicago style hot dogs & beefs, a taco salad, etc.) They always had available: 2 soups, pizza & chicken tenders, snacks, drinks. They had plenty of snacks in the fridge and in the drawers in the unit as well. I gained like 5 lbs in 2 weeks, eating more/ better than I usually do. I met with my psychiatrist daily, and on the weekends, there was a fill in person to check in. There were 3 or 4 groups per day. They had plenty of coloring pages, books in their library, DVDs to watch, Soduku puzzles, etc to keep busy in between activities. I really felt the staff were all very nice. Their job probably isn't easy, especially when a new patient comes in and is agitated or aggressive. I only noticed them getting frustrated when someone would repeatedly disrespect the staff. We did only get to go outside once per day, and only if the weather was OK. That was also the only time we had access to music. I felt like they are a bit more conservative in terms of keeping you a set amount of time. I stayed inpatient for 2 weeks, but that's likely because they were adjusting my meds. I had the option of going to Linden Oaks or Good Samaritan. I'm very glad I chose Linden Oaks!

i was there because of my depression and substance use and alcohol use and they really helped me a lot and overall a outstanding program and highly recommend to help me work through my mental health,trauma and give me the best possible outcome of treatments for aftercare and coping skills. it saved my life really. wouldn’t be here without going there i wouldn’t be here.

I must say, during a time when a person is going through an awful situation and trying to get back to normal, it is important to know that there are still people out there who genuinely do the hard work to help others to get back on track. Patience, understanding, and true effort are given by this team! I am grateful for the real diligence and authentic car of the Care Clinics of Naperville! Josie Miller has without a doubt saved my life!! She is the most warm and bubbliest person ever and I was comfortable right off the bat with her. I’ve been in and out of therapy and no one compares to her. Josie always has the right thing to say when I’m feeling upset about something and always makes me feel seen and heard. I am not sure i can properly put into words how important my time at footprints was. I do believe they helped me save my life. The entire staff is full of love, care and kindness. They were professional and diligent in my treatment. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone facing struggles with mental health and addiction. This facility is just amazing! Truly felt like everyone cared about me, and I can honestly say I trusted everyone in there. Trust is very hard for me, but the adult program and the staff allowed me to be myself with no judgement. I'm trying so hard to follow the rules and not name any staff but will give a broad review. Right when you walk in the staff is friendly, always smiling which in turn made me smile. The supervisor is amazing; the head of the counselors who leads the group therapy is one of the best people I ever met. The staff that lead the groups cared about me, and it was genuine, and they are so smart and fun. From the psychiatrist to my therapist everyone was on the same page. I just want to say thank you to everyone there from the bottom of my heart!

I had a wonderful experience with my program! Everyone was amazing and i truly wouldn’t be in such a good place in my life without the help from this facility! Life feels beautiful again and i couldn’t be more thankful! Brad is a wonderful human and you can really feel how much everyone there cares. Overall, my experience at Gateway Chicago was exceptional and overwhelmingly positive. From the moment I arrived, I was treated with dignity, respect, and genuine compassion. The food was good, the staff was outstanding, and my counselor, Nate, was incredibly helpful throughout my stay. Supervisor Herb is highly professional and, as he often says, he "gets things done" for the clients—a statement I personally witnessed time and time again. His leadership has had a tremendous impact on the men's unit, and he deserves recognition for creating an environment where clients feel supported, respected, and encouraged to succeed. I would also like to recognize Mike, Muhammad, Kenny, Kevin, Richard, Eva, Prentice, Katelyn, China, Mr. B, and Dale. Dale's classes are engaging, informative, and inspiring, and his passion for recovery is evident in every interaction he has with clients. Every one of these staff members demonstrated professionalism, compassion, patience, and dedication. They treated not only me but every client with kindness and respect, making recovery feel possible and giving people hope during one of the most difficult times in their lives. Gateway Chicago, located at 3828 West Taylor Street, Chicago, Illinois 60624, did far more than provide substance abuse treatment—it helped bring sanity, clarity, and serenity back into my life. The staff consistently went above and beyond to accommodate my needs and the needs of others. I witnessed countless acts of generosity and compassion. For example, today the facility distributed an abundance of quality clothing to clients. Priority was given to those who arrived with nothing, and after everyone in need was taken care of, there were still enough clothes for others. It was just one of many examples of how Gateway genuinely cares about the people they serve. The facility itself is clean and well maintained. The beds are comfortable, clients receive three meals a day along with a snack, and the overall atmosphere promotes healing and recovery. While anyone can find something to criticize about any organization, I found very few, if any, faults with Gateway Chicago. My overall experience exceeded my expectations. I am sincerely grateful to the ownership, the corporate leadership, and every member of the staff for the hard work, compassion, passion, and dedication they show every day to individuals seeking recovery. Most importantly, I am grateful that Gateway helped me regain peace of mind, hope for the future, and the serenity I had been missing for so long. I wholeheartedly recommend Gateway Chicago to anyone seeking treatment. Their commitment to helping people rebuild their lives is evident in everything they do, and I will always be thankful for the care and support I received there.

I'm fairly new to getting regular healthcare from the VA but from my experiences so far I have had nothing but very good care and positive interactions, especially from the nurses and people at the front desk! The personnel is wonderful in the meetings as well as I’ve learned that the fellowship and community is the most meaningful process of recovery. The Work Flex is great And Henry love is terrific always with the smile and willingness to accommodate any request. Five stars for him. The fact that we’re getting medicine at night between 1030 and 11 is brutal as we’re expected to wake up at six in the morning per your schedules, which goes against your other directive of getting eight hours of sleep. I also had my wife bring two ply toilet paper and it was rejected, which is a joke. No one should have one ply and I bet whoever is reading this uses two ply. I’d like to get that sent to my cottage ASAP. They also took a small tube of gorilla glue, which I was trying to help my roommates with to fix a pair of broken glasses and that wasn’t even recognized on the old held yet it wasn’t in my bag of goods I received either. Even though I’m able to use my phone during work, Flex, I think it’s unfair to the rest to not be able to use their phones for at least a half hour a day. At times feel like prisoners. Regardless of my complaints still fabulous recovery experience. Thank you.

Like many hospitals today, the ER wait was torture. It took 6 hours to get in, and I was admitted and stayed for two days. Even though the ER had no available beds, they kept me moving through the system. Blood tests, medications, necessary scans, etc. Once I got a room, the doctor was able to immediately start treating me. Due to the kindness of the staff and the care I received, I would do that wait again. This is the way medical care used to be 10 years ago, when you felt like the staff cared. The employees from registration, housekeeping, and those wonderful nurses and doctors are top-notch. Their reviews say it all. Most hospitals nowadays barely get 3 stars, let alone 4.5 stars. About a year prior to this ER visit, I switched our family physician to Dr. Cash out of UChicago. Just an outstanding, kind man with wonderful staff who truly care about you. Hats off UChicago for bringing back caring medical teams.

I choose to take part of the Symetria program voluntarily and it was one of the best decisions of my life! Not only are the staff like family, so are the individuals that pick Symetria too. Now days, customer service is pathetic and people are rude and most push you out the door, but not here. This place has the warm feeling like "The door is always open", and "how can we help you", We are here for you, it doesn't matter the time or the day, we care about you. You're a shining star and a success, not a failure. This place is secure, confidential, clean and has several options to help you along your journey. You are able to volunteer your time, make new friends and can help save a life, change a life and feel proud of who you are. Brian and John from Naperville are excellent group leaders (you are lucky if you get to meet them), and (Chris from Vernon Hills is a great counselor, who will make the time to ensure your needs are met). Symetria creates an environment where people feel safe, supported, and valued. The morning IOP group supported me through the hardest part of my life and I will forever be grateful for the amazing people I met. I think each one of us in the group looked forward to our time together in that healing place. Our counselor Brian is an expert in his field. He led our group through many difficult topics and conversations and did so with enormous compassion. Individual sessions with Brian were always insightful. Brian has a unique way of making each of his clients feel good about themselves. If you struggle with addiction and are looking for a place where you can start to make changes, I highly recommend Naperville's IOP program. Thank you for helping me change my life.
