It took a little over a week for them to first get in touch, but genuine apology was expressed and it seemed like unique circumstances.
The evaluation process with Shelley was along the lines of what I expected. Having given thorough histories for other reasons before, I did not find it to be overly invasive. Thorough, not overly time- consuming. Fact- focused, not judgmental.
At the end of the evaluation, I was told it may take a week to hear anything. It took longer, but I've my attorney reached out to remind Tools For Life, the response was prompt.
Can't give five stars yet because I am still waiting for the last phase of this process to be completed, but so far good people to work with.

Thank goodness all the nurses left, now clients get to have their critical medical needs taken care of by well meaning, unqualified, underpaid, over worked home staff. Thanks AID for proving nursing school is a joke and that anyone can learn how to administer medication through an Instagram live video. I have even started to apply this logic to my own daily life and finally got my mail person to administer my enemas and suppositories after I forced them to watch a video of my neighbor doing theirs. Now I don't have to pay my physician to do that. So if you care about your family members but don't want your agency to spend too much money on things like ACTUAL NURSES or PROPER MEDICAL TRAINING, AID is the perfect place. It's refreshing to see a non profit so driven by finances and the bottom line instead of actual care and patient connections. I honestly think the more money you pay to trained medical staff leads to higher rates of medical issues. I looked at a highlighter and felt my blood sugar lower, thanks AID.

**updated review **
I wanted to update my review after my recent experience. Since posting, my nurse practitioner Kelly Ryan personally followed up with me and took the time to listen and address my concerns. She also spoke with her staff, and that meant a lot to me as a long-time patient.
I’ve been coming to this office for over 25 years, and while I was really discouraged by a recent visit, I truly appreciate the care and accountability shown afterward. Feeling heard and supported as a patient makes all the difference, especially in a medical setting, and the follow-up helped restore some of the trust I’ve had here for so many years.
I’m hopeful this reflects a positive step forward, and I appreciate the effort made to ensure patients feel valued and cared for.

Now days, customer service is pathetic and people are rude and most push you out the door, but not here. I stayed in Crisis Residential for a month (I got an extended week) and I learned so much and had SUCH a great time, I HIGHLY recommend this place if you're in need of a timeout. Lots and lots of groups, very well structured, the rules are really easy to understand and follow, and the staff genuinely cares about how you're feeling during your stay as well. You get to see your psychiatrist once a week to make sure your medication is helping, and the psychiatrists they have on staff are wonderful, as well as your therapist and if you're in the substance abuse program, they're kind too, from what I've heard.
Once again, thank you Ecker, for helping me learn to manage my anxiety and various other symptoms. You've done a great job for a lot of people! 10/5 stars!

Naperville, IL | Banyan Chicago provides comprehensive outpatient addiction and mental health treatment designed to support individuals while they continue living at home and maintaining daily responsibilities. Our programs offer structured, evidence-based care without the need for inpatient or residential admission. Levels of care at Banyan Chicago include Partial | Programs Payment Options | So I want to let anyone know who is looking into treatment Banyan was such a fantastic experience for me. I owe them such a debt of GRATITUDE. I am a middle-aged woman with kids who was struggling with drinking - life was just sad for me due to some pretty terrible trauma-I knew I needed to make a change and I came to Banyan. I was scared & ashamed. They treated me with such kindness. The program was well structured & professional. The financial obligation was manageable. Everyone there continues to check on my progress. I have completely been sober since I left and have a completely new life - A+ Banyan. I continue to have great friendships from my time there. Here is one thing i say to people who ask me about getting sober. I have not met one person -not one single person -who regrets getting sober. There are millions of people- hundreds of millions of people - right now regretting drinking, why not make the change now? people get sober for a lot of different reasons.

Lemont, IL | Timberline Knolls Residential Treatment Center substance abuse and behavioral health recovery program in Orland Park, Illinois. Their individualized treatment plans encourage clients to participate actively in their recovery planning. They serve adult women clients. This facility treats a broad range of mood, eating, and trauma disorders alongsi | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I see a lot of negative reviews on here and my experience might have been different due to my age (late 30s). I wanted to be at TK. I didn't have someone make the decision for me, although my husband was very supportive.
Out of all the staff, there were only 2 I didn't like. Not that they were bad, just a clash with our personalities.
I have epilepsy, it's chronic and active. I had to go home to have surgery (a replacement battery for the device that helps control my seizures). I was gone for about 36 hours. The staff was great with my seizures and with my surgery.
I thought I was going to need to go back when my husband passed away, but I made it through. A lot of that I can credit TK with for giving me the tools to work with.
The only problem I really had was leaving. Leaving was terrifying because that safety net just vanished. That is one thing I think the staff needs to prepare you a bit better for.
I've been healthy since leaving. Sure, I still get the feelings/urges on occasion but I created my own safety net. I can control the urges. I'm actually rather proud of myself.
PS - If any of the former staff ever reads this "Meany Mo-Mo" you know who you are. Thank you, for all you did. Your patience, your help, and just being there when I needed it. You literally are the best. <3

Elk Grove Village, IL | Ascension Alexian Brothers Medical Center is a health care facility that has departments for behavioral health and drug addiction. They are located in Elk Grove Village, Illinois and have different programs to help people in different situations. Their programs are given in inpatient and outpatient environments. Ascension Alexian Brothers is a hosp | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I’d like to start out saying thank you Ascension Saint Lexington Brothers elk Grove Village hospital.
My experience this time around at this hospital was really good
Nice and clean and easy to get to.
The hospital stay for four days was very nice. Third floor room 3107 very clean and nice. I gotta say the bed was pretty comfortable.
The day shift staff was very nice and on top of everything. The Night Shift staff was very kind and nice .
One thing the hospital patient chair when not in bed needs to be updated. The handles on the arms on the chairs were rickety and dirty and beat up not very comfortable.
Overall, I would come back to that hospital again to have any other procedures done.
I do recommend this hospital.

Staff is warm, helpful, competent, attentative in conversation, patient & responsive in registering, processing, diagnosing & treating. A+ .. admitting in ER was simple & quick. Err medical Staff was efficient, professional, sensitive & pleasant working with me. The STAFF AT EVERY LEVEL WERE MORE LIKE A WARM FAMILY THAT A BUNCH OF IMPERSONAL WORKERS AT A COLD JOBSITE.
I had a complex serious illness which mimicked a STROKE but was quickly Medically Assessed Corrrectly by MEDICAL TRIAGE , using IMAGING SCANS, BLOOD CHEMISTRY ANALYSIS & A VERY PROFESSIONAL AND COMPETENT MEDICAL DOCTOR with a Serious Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) requiring ImmediateSERIOUS IV ANTIBIOTIC TREATMENT & QUICKLY ADMITTED TO THE HOSPITAL WITH TREATMENT BEGINNING…
THE NURSING STAFF WAS EXCEPTIONALLY GOOD. VERY PROFESSIONAL, VERY SUPPORTIVE AND QUICKLY RESPONSIVE.
This hospital quickly access the last 20+ years of my medical records from my prior hospitals in Tennessee. So they knew all of my conditions and all of my medical issues in addition to what they were treating.
PS: The food is prepared by a chef, I was able to order from a menu which included vegan vegetarian food. It was delivered hot individually, not as part of trying to feed every person in the hospital at the same time it was restaurant quality food. I have never had such good food in hospital.

Saint Charles, IL | Lighthouse Recovery is located in downtown Saint Charles, Illinois, and offers outpatient treatment for clients with substance use (SUD) and co-occurring mental health disorders. They have a Level I outpatient program for adolescents and adults, as well as a Level II intensive outpatient program (IOP). Clients can receive medication assisted treatm | Treatments Programs Payment Options | All the staff here is exceptional. Yet there are 3 people I would like to thank from the bottom of my heart; Nate (the clinical director), Dr Steve Holtsford, and a Lighthouse collaborator, Rehna Becker. These 3 people have saved my life in their own way. That's no small thing.
Nate was the one who got through to me when no one else could. He is the reason I stayed in recovery. He's so incredibly intelligent, witty, charismatic, heartfelt and has a brilliant sense of humor to go with a great big heart. I think a good sense of humor is wildly underappreciated when dealing with such incredibly heavy topics. Likewise, he knows the exact moment to pivot and get real with you. He is the one who started this whole incredible program.
Dr. Holtsford is probably the best physician working in addiction medicine in the state of Illinois and I would wager, he's going to emerge as a leader at the national level. He stays up to date with the most cutting edge research as it relates his area of expertise. He has a certain ease about him that makes it easy to open up and be honest which is one of the greatest challenges facing anyone who is in recovery. There could not be a finer medical director at the helm of a recovery clinic.
Last but definitely not least is Rehna. She is the most extraordinary therapist I have encountered in my lifetime and I have met with dozens. I am not sure I should be mentioning her as I believe she has a separate practice that's in the same building. Rehna is the "thermonuclear" option in the absolute best sense. She is the therapist to see for those who are truly lost causes. She is burdened with the most severe cases yet she maintains such a bright disposition despite routinely dealing with the most intractable cases of patients with severe trauma. I owe her my life. Thank you Rehna for sticking with me and for encouraging me to be "the man in the ring."

It's wild to imagine that I've been a patient with Lighthouse now for more than a decade. They've stayed with me through thick and through thin. They've been patient with me when I made mistakes and never turned their back on me or cast me aside like so many other doctors. You can expect to be treated with respect and dignity. You and your loved ones will be supported, not only by the amazing staff but by the people who come to group and share their experience.
This place has none of the dogmatism of a twelve step group. I have nothing against 12 step but the "all or nothing" approach where you get chips and count days never worked for me. It's been a long slog but I've been in recovery now for 5 years going steady and I owe my thanks to the good people who run this place.
I think the community owes this establishment a huge debt. The stories you'll hear of the struggles of people from all walks of life during groups makes you realize that without a place like this, there would be a lot of funerals taking place. Addiction doesn't discriminate based on your socio economic status or skin color. You'll see people from every walk of life come together here to support one another. It's a beautiful thing.

These folks are doing God's work. If you're a patient that benefits from this place, the least we can do is share our experiences with a review. I don't know what I would do without them. Thank you Nate, Rehna, Steve, Emily and Elora! ♥️ They're truly the best of the best.

Aurora is the 346th most expensive city nationwide for addiction treatment affordability, with an average cost of addiction treatment of $49545. This is lower than the average cost of $56666 for addiction treatment in Illinois and lower than the national average cost for drug rehab of $57,193.
The costs of drug and alcohol rehab in Aurora vary widely and depend on several factors, including:
The costs of addiction treatment listed for cities and states are averages based on the cost of medical detox, inpatient rehab, outpatient rehab, and medication assisted treatment. These averages are high due to the cost of medical detoxification and residential inpatient rehab programs.
These numbers also reflect the raw cost of drug rehab, before any insurance coverage. The typical individual seeking addiction treatment can expect to pay much less for outpatient or intensive outpatient services than the averages listed below. There are many ways to pay for drug rehab in Aurora. Most rehab treatment centers accept cash or self-payment, as well as private health insurance. However, there are many treatment centers in Aurora that accept Medicaid and Medicare, or offer sliding scale payments or other low-cost payment options. Here's the complete breakdown of how to pay for addiction treatment near Aurora.
Blue Cross Blue Shield is the most widely-accepted insurance for drug rehabs in Aurora, with 12 treatment centers in the city accepting their insurance. UnitedHealth Group is the 2nd most popular with 11 treatment centers accepting it followed by Aetna in 3rd accepted by 10 drug rehabs.

The percent shown for each drug represents the number of residents in Kane county that have reported ever using the following drugs, so these numbers should not be interpreted as direct evidence of current drug use in Aurora or Kane county as a whole.
All values are per 100,000 population.
