I went to bridge house after going to an inpatient. Going to Bridge house for the first time was an life changing amazing experience especially being there for the holidays up until about 2 weeks ago when i graduated the program. They offer groups I never thought I would get into yoga and meditation. I now enjoy doing both because of bridge house. They have awesome food that I used to always cook they actually care about what you're interested in making they buy all the ingredients for you to cook for the house on your scheduled day .They have very good groups and peer support groups. I enjoyed playing the drums and the keyboard that they have to offer as well. So shout out to bridge house thank you for all your support loving and caring attitude towards me always. I was there a few times. The LAST AND FINAL time was about 12 years ago. I was meant to be there. I actually met my husband there. Lol. These people care... they do care, if you care. Counselors can only do so much to help someone who is NOT ready for help. This was state funded. I don't understand all the bad reviews. It's better than Cook County Jail, Lake county Jail and McHenry County Jail. People lived in gutters slept on sidewalks, did anything necessary to fullfull our addictions and then go to a state funded place and complain that it is an awful place. I'll take ATP over active addiction any day. People don't realize how stressful counselors jobs are. They are dealing with some of the worst, entitled people America has to offer. A place can only do so much. They can only help you as much as you want it. If you have found yourself in ATP and are ungrateful for whatever they have to offer, you are not ready. They treated me better than I treated myself. So, I learned alot from ATP. It's not a full on rehab. It's more of a first step to sobriety. THANK YOU ATP FOR TAKING CARE OF ME BETTER THAN I CARED FOR MYSELF. YOU TOOK ME IN WHEN I NEEDED IT THE MOST. ILL NEVER FORGET WHERE MY SOBRIETY BECAME A POSSIBILITY AND THEN REALITY. NEVER THOUGHT ID GET CLEAN. EVER. IF I CAN DO IT, ANYONE CAN! THANK YOU AGAIN ATP FOR SHOWING ME RESPECT WHILE I WAS GIVING IT ALSO. The last in the reviews that said she got hit, I guarantee, you got him to that point. I've seen alot of disrespect and patients who think they are owed the world in a STATE FUNDED 2 week stay. (If I remember correctly it was 2 weeks.) YOU get back what you put out into the world. Thank You ATP for helping me get off the streets of Chicago's West side and taking me in. In my opinion this is the best clinic around by far. If you follow the rules then you will have absolutley no problems. Jem does accept some insurance or just pay out of pocket. If you don't have insurance or yours is not accepted there do not worry because the out of pocket cost is very affordable. If you are looking for treatment alternative to the traditional rehab then look no further this is your place. Take it from a successful patient to the program. IT WORKS

I am 62 years old and not accustomed to posting reviews but I feel it is important to post my personal experience with the Group Home. I lived at the Group Home beginning June 11, 2019 and stayed for approximately 3 months. I had been diagnosed with Bipolar I Disorder at Crisis Care Prevention (part of the Lake County Health Department) and was homeless at the time. Given my age, I had lived most of my life with an undiagnosed mental illness and was grateful that there was finally a name, and more importantly, treatment for what was “wrong with Vicki”. At the Group Home I learned countless skills, even very simple skills such as attaining and maintaining structure in my day to day life. I had a bedtime and learned that it was important to “wind down” before going to sleep and I awoke at approximately the same time every morning. Gone are the days of staying up (and sel-medicating) all night long. I began my days rested and willing to learn and grow. Our counselor’s lead groups that are designed to guide you to be active in, and responsible for, your own recovery They also also presented and endless supply of coping skills/tools to help me manage my mental illness. Furthermore, these skills are presented in such a way that I finally understood the importance and concepts of what coping skills actually are and how much they can help me. I had responsibilities such as chores within the Group Home, I had peers, people similar to me, and found that this was a place that I fit in. I learned patience and acceptance and I learned, at the age of 59, how to be a valued member of my community, no matter what community I am living in. I was also introduced to the New Hope Recovery Center in Zion and Waukegan (or “drop in center”) where I continue to work my program of recovery and continue to be active within this community to this day. Nearly 3 years ago my life almost ended. I had hit the worst “bottom” in my life and had no hope for anything good. Getting a diagnosis, taking my medication, being teachable, living and learning in the group home, and going to the drop in center have all been instrumental as far as me being equipped with the necessary skills and tools I use every day to live my best life. In these past 3 years, I have been living a full life, a life filled with joy, hope and the possibility of a bright future. I recommend the Group Home for anyone in need and cannot say enough “good” about my experience there and how it changed my life in so many positive ways. I now live on my own but have a strong connection to all the people who continue to empower me to continue on my journey of recovery.

I was struggling with my alcohol use and going into treatment with NIRC changed my life! The staff, techs, facilitators and therapists are incredibly supportive and knowledgeable with many of them having real life experience giving them a place of empathy and advocacy to serve from. In-patient housing, outpatient PHP and IOP options allowed me a platform to move through early recovery at my own pace. The group therapy offerings allowed more personalized options for topics that applied to me individually. Individual therapy helped me to work through to the root issues underlying my addiction through self-directed mentoring, alternative methods and connections with medical and psychiatry professionals on-site. After a couple months, I successfully completed treatment and left NIRC feeling like I have a new lease on life. I was connected with so many community resources to continue my recovery journey and at nearly 4 months sober, I am a version of myself I haven't been connected with in years! I am a better wife and mother, but I also have found my purpose and become a student, a friend, a coach and a productive, self-confident and SOBER part of my community. I owe it to NIRC and I hope to, one day, give back to the organization that has given me a life I am proud of and excited to live every day! Thank you!!

This place is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! They saved my lyfe for sure and are currently saving my girlfriends lyfe. I can not say enough good things about this place and trust me if it was wack I'd put them on blast. First the nursing staff is more then amazing. I went there to detox from the typical West Side of Chicago herion-fetinol-xylazine-morphine bullshit and knew I was in for a rough couple weeks. Shout out to all the nurses but especially Linda in detox. This lady held my hand and I completely give her all the credit in the world for getting me through that. After detox I went to the men's unit. I can only speak on the councilors I've had cause I've been there twice but John and Tera are amazing in every way. The staff is awesome with special shout outs to D, Sammy, Kurt and Chase for sure. If you've never witnessed one of Chases groups this man will change your lyfe. The rehab itself is like a resort and I called it the Passeges Malibu of Illinois. It's right on the lake and everything is gorgeous. Id recommend this place 100 times over. The only negative thing I have to say is I came with 2 brand new scripts of Alprazalam and Adderall that was destroyed without my consent even though they belonged to me and everyone said I'd get them back but I guess thats rehab for you. If your struggling with anything this is the best possible place for you. They truly save lives.

We were told we would have to make an appointment and return at another time. Just so happens that Cliff, who actually does the test, walked in while we were waiting to set up the test. He over heard our situation and immediately said he would fit us in his schedule. With help from Micwala, we were able to do the test the same day. Their overwhelming kindness and compassion were second to none. I would highly recommend Holy Family for their available services and will definitely schedule any further testing with them. This is the way we should treat each other!! Thank you both for your time and support.

If your child struggles with anything mental health-wise, Compass is a godsend. It’s like school where the teachers are all expert doctors and therapists who genuinely care about your child and your family. We’ve gone back almost every year for a refresher of all the skills they teach our son. Literally nowhere better and we’re so grateful they gave us our son back. He feels like himself. 10000 stars out of 10!!!! We love Lisa, Alejandro, Toni, Dr. Franke, the intake phone people, and legit everyone we spoke with. The physician who saw me today for a routine check up went above and beyond. Dr. Doss was unhappy to hear that a previous prescription I had was unaffordable for me, so she took extra time to find an alternative but equally effective prescription option. She also was very attentive in asking about my family history and took extra care after learning that I was adopted to make sure she had an understanding that I was aware of paying attention to any possible inherent conditions and gave me not negative responses, but positive encouragement to stay on top of my health. Social distancing was in full swing at the Deerfield office, and the desk attendants were very diligent in directing patients as such.

*****UPDATE*** I had a wonderful experience at my radiology appointment today where I had to have a CAT scan done. I was lucky to be assigned to Roxana and Daniel. They were absolutely so wonderful, comforting and easy to talk to about my worry about having it done. They were patient and made sure I was truly comfortable. Thank you Roxanna for making my day and thank you Daniel for taking my arm and being my date for my cat scan! This hospital is truly the best! had an echocardiogram done by David Tuesday November 18. He was so sweet and kind and we talked the whole time. He knew exactly how to take my mind off my worries! He is a keeper!!!! Thank you David!

My wife and I were both admitted to Glenbrook Hospital with pneumonia. We are both in our 80s and were very ill. The concern for our welfare and treatment in the ER and the four days in the hospital was absolutely exceptional. Far above our expections. Thank you to everyone who helped us get trough a very difficult situation.

My mother was admitted to the hospital for three days after coming to the ER, and she is being discharged today. Overall, the hospital has excellent, hotel like facilities, and the staff are all kind. In particular, the nurses assigned to my mother's room Isabel and Jackie were incredibly kind and professional. However, while we were in ER Room #4, my mother was bitten on the back by bugs while in bed, and I was bitten more than ten times on my ankles while sitting in a chair; when I mentioned this to the nurse, she completely ignored me. I ended up buying medication at a pharmacy and applying it to my mother's back myself. Later, we were moved to Room #C, and when I told the nurse there about the issue, she filed a report and she was very kind.

I had just gave birth to a Beautiful baby girl!!! In the time of our homelessness, the shelter we were staying at refered me to them!! I called them and made appointment. When the time came I went to the appointment and they were so sweet, understanding, and very resourceful!!!. I was amazed, and happy!!! First off, it's a blessing itself to have a facility FREE OF CHARGE!!! They help step by step, to get your life in order and back together again!!!♥️ Nicasa has truly been a blessing to us, and always will be!!! We are still with them still this day!!! Ms. Cindy is 1 of the few and rare woman I have ever met. This woman was a Huge BLESSING!!!! THE THINGS SHE DID FOR ME WAS RARE!!! SHE WOULD GO OUT IF HER WAY, TO MAKE SURE I WAS MAKING IT TO MY APPOINTMENTS, AND ALSO A SUPPORT TO ME EMOTIONALLY AND MENTALLY!!! I am so grateful for Nicasa and the incredible support I received from their team. With the guidance of my caseworker, Ms. Darlene, I was able to make real progress in my life. She not only encouraged me to continue my education, but also helped me get my driver’s license and supported me through the process of having my background expunged. Because of her kindness, professionalism, and dedication, I have been able to put my life back together in ways I never thought possible. I also want to recognize her supervisor, Ms. Sindey, whose support and understanding made a huge difference. Both of them carry a genuine heart for the community and give their time, energy, and compassion to help families across Lake County. What makes Nicasa so special is that they are not just another organization—they truly care. They spend countless hours serving people and making a positive impact. I have referred many friends and family to them, and they too have been blessed by the hard work and dedication of Ms. Darlene, Ms. Sindey, and the Nicasa team.
