The only people who leave bad reviews are the people who didnt want help or treatment. I LOVED IT HERE and they helped me so much with my abusive parents! I stayed here for 60+ days and honestly didn’t want to leave. I loved everyone that worked in the adolescent unit and hope they still work here!

I came here for the Adult IOP program after a recent stay at inpatient unit at a different hospital. I cannot say enough about how well this program is run and the people who run it. Dee and Cory are amazing at what they do . They have that perfect balance of understanding your thoughts and challenging your thoughts . Everyone is able to speak as much or as little as they want. The program is well structured and you can expect the same and clear expectations daily. A variety of activities and discussion groups from daily check ins to music and art therapy. Strongly reccommend this program if needed.

I was a patient in 2-South recently. The condition that landed me in NCHBHC isn't the usual (it's an endocrine disorder with marked psych symptoms), but thankfully the teams of nurses, docs, caseworkers, and BHAs at NCH not only took me at my word when I explained what was going on, but actively asked insightful, curious questions to gain a better understanding of my condition and how best to help me get back on my feet. They were also phenomenal allies, and because of their conscientiousness and willingness to listen, I felt safe as a nonbinary patient. Thank you Dr Okoli, Dr Ghani, the entire glorious nursing team, Jen, and the fantastic BHA team. Y'all worked in tandem with my outside team of docs and helped me get back on my feet when I was too exhausted to keep up by myself. Special thanks to Alma, Jen, Donte, John, Emma, Aleksandra, and Syed, who sat with me during difficult moments and made me feel seen and cared-for as myself, not just as a patient. Endeavor, you'd do well to give every single employee there a solid raise (they've seriously earned it), and perhaps consider hiring a few more folks. I was surprised to see some faces back so quickly after they'd already put in a full shift. Your teams need rest and recovery time, too, especially teams so attentively patient-focused as this one. As far as the facility goes, it's an inpatient mental health hospital. You're rarely the only patient on the ward, and you definitely shouldn't expect to be waited on hand and foot if you're otherwise able-bodied and of sound(ish) mind. You don't get to have your phone or electronics, no drawstrings, no belts, no hoodies-- it can feel isolating, but it's standard protocol for these sorts of places for good reason. This is not a penthouse suite at the Ritz-Carlton-- it is a hospital where you *will* be working alongside your doc team and other patients to heal and adapt. Adjust your expectations accordingly. Some rooms are singles, and some rooms are doubles. All the floors are clean, beds are comfy, blankets are hospital standard (you can ask for an extra if you're cold, and room temps can be adjusted individually), and the nurse and BHA teams check in every fifteen minutes, day and night. Leaving your door half-open helps mitigate the change in light levels when they check in if that disrupts your sleep, and the nurses can give melatonin to help with getting *to* sleep. Showers are on a sign-up basis in morning and evening, and while the spigots kind of have an awkward spray, the water is warm and the shampoo smells good. The food is palatable to enjoyable (with the sole exception of the chicken parm, which is... well, it's *only* describable as edible-- best avoid that one), the papers come in daily so there are always crosswords, the TV gets regular channels as well as Freeform and Netflix, and coloring pages and word searches can be requested. They keep you busy with six to seven group sessions a day-- it can be exhausting to attend, and some folks find the topics 'cringey', but believe me, it's stuff that can really help, especially if you're honest with yourself and your docs about what you're dealing with. Overall, I would recommend NCH Behavioural Health 2-South to any adult in crisis as a safe, warm, helpful place to heal and find your footing again.

I received my first DUI and let me tell you, the reinstatement process is very scary, difficult and time consuming. My nervous system was at a total fail when I showed up to meet for my DUI eval with Ed. Im very glad I came all the way out from Lake Co here! SERVICE/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE: I can tell right away that Ed knew what he was doing. When he was reviewing my file, he has noticed things in there that my own lawyer didnt catch. He began immediately a consult with my attorney to make sure that my documents lineup and I have the best possible change to get my license back. Ed has taken the time to explain me the process and spent every minute of the scheduled time with me going over the smallest little details that would seem insignificant to one, but major for you to get your license back. PRICING: They are one of the cheapest. Other places were charging anywhere from $700-$1000 range, just for eval! I was charged the agreed upon price and have never heard again about any additional fees. DELIVERY: I was given very clear timeline, directions regarding my involvement. Ed worked closely with my attorney to deliver the eval that would work best for my specific situation and needs. Highly recommend. From the very first call to the moment I walked out of the door, the support and experience made me feel at ease!

I can’t say enough good things about my experience in Suncloud outpatient programming. The group therapy environment along with the individual care you receive is truly amazing. You are given the tools to work on yourself in an environment that is supportive, free of judgement, and with staff and peers who want the best for you. I am consistently blown away by the care that SunCloud provides for individuals specifically with co-occurring disorders. They have a new adolescent residential program in Matteson, IL where care is literally non-existent. Colleen Kestel is their VP of Operations and is very selective on who she works with. I’ve trusted Colleen as a dietitian for many years, as well as Dr. Kim Dennis. I highly recommend SunCloud, especially for those with co-occurring disorders, who need a higher level of care!

I began IOP and individual counseling at Rosecrance in February 2026, and I can honestly say it has been one of the most positive and impactful decisions I’ve made. My counselor Dominique is truly exceptional — she embodies everything you hope to find in a counselor. From my very first session, Dominique made me feel genuinely heard and understood. She listens with real empathy, never makes you feel judged, and creates a space where it’s safe to be completely honest. That kind of environment is rare and so incredibly valuable, especially when you’re navigating something difficult in your personal life. What sets Dominique apart is her combination of warmth and professionalism. She doesn’t just listen — she provides thoughtful guidance and practical tools that I’ve been able to carry with me outside of our sessions. Her knowledge and approach have helped me build real coping skills that have made a meaningful difference in my day-to-day life. Rosecrance as an organization has also impressed me with the quality of care and the caliber of their staff. Dominique will absolutely keep you on your toes, but if you want it bad enough, anything is possible — just put the work in and you will have true companionship throughout the entire experience. I cannot recommend her enough.

I really like the staff here. They're genuinely trying to help you. They have great programs to cope, manage and recognize what you need. I got really lucky because I had a group of strong, collective, beautiful women. The only thing that sucked was it was winter and someone came in with the flu. It was the worse 10 days of my life and my medicine never came... Other than that I'm still sober and working hard at sober living and it's all thanks to this place helping me network out.

For over 13 years, I struggled with addiction. Walking through the doors of Recovery Centers of America (RCA) a few months ago was the best decision I ever made. Today, I am proud to celebrate six months of sobriety. The staff at RCA are truly world-class. From the nurses, case managers and therapists to the cafeteria team, everyone treats you like family. The facilities—including the cottage living spaces and the massive gymnasium—are pristine, well-lit, and fully operational. What sets RCA apart is how they reintegrate "real life" into recovery. Beyond excellent group therapy, I participated in weekly softball games, open mic nights, "On the Other Side" milestones, and speaker events. We even had supervised outings to hockey games, movies, and bowling & pizza. These experiences proved to me that a sober life can be a full life. I want to thank the RCA team and my peers for being a vital part of my success.

Additionally while I waited the workers at the coffee lounge we're exceedingly helpful and very cheerful. There was a new female who was very cheerful and was thanking the veterans for there service. In ( the main eye clinc) Dr.Dessler was very thorough ask and educating me on the 4 treatments. Both eye clinics were very transparent. And that is something to be stated. I highly recommend the eye clinics here. 11Nov2025 Downgraded to 1 star Review After " Alexis " (Women Clinic) left a voicemail attempting to get me into an appointment. Alexis left me on hold for 10 minutes. Then lied about an open December appointment. Utilizing words like we only have one doctor that can see people "like you". She then stated that they only have openings for late February. I have never asked for services as a female or Transgender. I'm a guy, period. There is no reason for gender stereotyping because I choose to dress or look a certain way. As such the TSP CPT Dr.Jefferies chose to act with violence during one of our sessions. This is very vindictive behavior. Other than the outstanding lab department & Dr.Riz I do not recommend this location for now. ---------------------- 3Jul2025 (5 Five Review) A great man walked these halls. I had the opportunity to go through the South Suburban Council program about two years ago, and I can confidently say it was a life-changing experience. From day one, the staff treated me with respect, patience, and genuine care. They didn’t just see me as another participant they took the time to understand my situation and helped guide me toward making better decisions for my future. The program provided structure, accountability, and real support when I needed it most. What stood out the most was how invested everyone was in my growth. Whether it was counseling, job readiness, or just having someone to talk to, the resources they offered made a real difference in my life. Even after completing the program, the lessons and discipline I gained have stayed with me and continue to help me move in the right direction. Two years later, I’m in a much better place mentally, emotionally, and professionally and I truly credit a big part of that to the South Suburban Council. If you’re considering this program or have been referred to it, I highly recommend taking it seriously and giving it your all. It can genuinely help change your life if you let it. Five stars all the way.

I choose to take part of the Symetria program voluntarily and it was one of the best decisions of my life! Not only are the staff like family, so are the individuals that pick Symetria too. Now days, customer service is pathetic and people are rude and most push you out the door, but not here. This place has the warm feeling like "The door is always open", and "how can we help you", We are here for you, it doesn't matter the time or the day, we care about you. You're a shining star and a success, not a failure. This place is secure, confidential, clean and has several options to help you along your journey. You are able to volunteer your time, make new friends and can help save a life, change a life and feel proud of who you are. Brian and John from Naperville are excellent group leaders (you are lucky if you get to meet them), and (Chris from Vernon Hills is a great counselor, who will make the time to ensure your needs are met). Symetria creates an environment where people feel safe, supported, and valued. The morning IOP group supported me through the hardest part of my life and I will forever be grateful for the amazing people I met. I think each one of us in the group looked forward to our time together in that healing place. Our counselor Brian is an expert in his field. He led our group through many difficult topics and conversations and did so with enormous compassion. Individual sessions with Brian were always insightful. Brian has a unique way of making each of his clients feel good about themselves. If you struggle with addiction and are looking for a place where you can start to make changes, I highly recommend Naperville's IOP program. Thank you for helping me change my life.

PSI was an experience in honesty, structure, and human connection that’s helped me rebuild after years of destructive patterns and self medication. What stays with me most is how powerful it is to be around people who understand what I was dealing with firsthand. The group setting paired with direct medical and emotional support encouraged real change to begin when fear, shame, impulsive behavior, and isolation had taken over. They approach recovery as not just about stopping harmful behavior—it also looks to address anxiety, depression, trauma, distorted thinking, and other underlying mental health struggles through therapy, accountability, education, and consistent support While the focus of the program deals with very heavy topics - the care teams I worked with made me feel heard, comfortable, and safe. As well, they allowed and encouraged me to be my authentic self - helpful, gracious, and kind with the singular purpose of getting me well.

Whether you bring yourself to PSI or you are told you need to go here - no one thinks that rehab is where they will end up and I was no exception. The staff here realize that. My first day walking in the doors and being greeted by Sandy to start the process I felt a sense of welcome, warmth, and understanding. Throughout my time here that feeling never left and was only reenforced by every staff member I interacted with the entire time I was here in treatment. I was assigned Pam as my primary counselor, and I cannot thank this woman enough for all she has done for me. The topics we touched on were so personal and delicate and she was constantly present and engaged for all of it. Her insight, really her intuition, was so genuine and accurate during our sessions it amazed me. If anyone I know is ever struggling with addiction, I would not hesitate to send them here as I know they will get everything they need and more to help them on their journey.

Just for saying what's going on here, taken advantage of, false promises, came back here in good faith like many.. put forth so much to rebuild etc... new health conditions, put down for a certain one..

I stayed in Crisis Residential for a month (I got an extended week) and I learned so much and had SUCH a great time, I HIGHLY recommend this place if you're in need of a timeout. Lots and lots of groups, very well structured, the rules are really easy to understand and follow, and the staff genuinely cares about how you're feeling during your stay as well. You get to see your psychiatrist once a week to make sure your medication is helping, and the psychiatrists they have on staff are wonderful, as well as your therapist and if you're in the substance abuse program, they're kind too, from what I've heard. Once again, thank you Ecker, for helping me learn to manage my anxiety and various other symptoms. You've done a great job for a lot of people! 10/5 stars!

I went to bridge house after going to an inpatient. Going to Bridge house for the first time was an life changing amazing experience especially being there for the holidays up until about 2 weeks ago when i graduated the program. They offer groups I never thought I would get into yoga and meditation. I now enjoy doing both because of bridge house. They have awesome food that I used to always cook they actually care about what you're interested in making they buy all the ingredients for you to cook for the house on your scheduled day .They have very good groups and peer support groups. I enjoyed playing the drums and the keyboard that they have to offer as well. So shout out to bridge house thank you for all your support loving and caring attitude towards me always. Thank you Dr Guerra Thank you Ms Leticia and Ms Colleen for all of your support, one on ones and the advice you have all way given me. I am now in a sober living independent home thriving and doing well while maintaining my sobriety. For the past two years I've witnessed how SunCloud Health provides truly exceptional care. From the moment you walk in, it’s clear that the staff genuinely care about each individual and take the time to understand the whole person—not just a diagnosis. The treatment team is compassionate, knowledgeable, and highly collaborative. I am incredibly grateful for the work being done at SunCloud Health and would highly recommend it to anyone seeking comprehensive, high-quality mental health and eating disorder treatment.

I was in Suncloud’s Residential, PHP, and IOP program for 5 months and it changed the course of my life. When I went in I was suffering from anxiety, depression, severe substance abuse, grief, and trauma. Today I am 5 months sober from alcohol, weed, marijuana, and nicotine, I’m enrolled in school, go to the gym, and am working towards my career. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life but I’m thankful I put in the work and showed up everyday. The staff here are some of the most compassionate, hardworking, and dedicated people and I’m so thankful to them for helping me navigate the good, the bad, and the CONFUSING parts of recovery. I’m proud of the work we were able to accomplish here and will forever cherish the lessons learned and relationships made here.

I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with SunCloud Health on several shared cases, and I can say they provide exceptional, comprehensive care. Their multidisciplinary approach offers clients a truly integrated treatment experience. SunCloud goes beyond symptom management to address the root causes of mental health and substance use issues. I’ve consistently seen patients benefit from their thoughtful, trauma-informed care and supportive environment. Communication with their team has always been professional, timely, and collaborative. They take continuity of care seriously, which makes a huge difference in long-term outcomes. I highly recommend SunCloud Health to anyone seeking a higher level of care.

I entered Compass when it became obvious that my anxiety and depression were starting to seriously affect my life. I didn't know what to expect exactly, but I had people close to me who told me that they had been helped there. While I went in initially expecting to be "fixed", what I found might have been even better. A fixed thing can be broken again. Instead, I found an inclusive and welcoming space. Very low-stakes and low pressure where I could give voice to my deepest anxieties without judgement, and find support and validation instead. And rather than simply being "fixed", I was taught a range of tools and lessons that I can apply for the rest of my life. The bad feelings aren't gone, but now I have a defense against them that will keep them from controlling my life. It's an emotionally intense process, and there's no guarantee how long it'll take, but if you can make it work and you enter the program in good faith with an open mind, it may be able to help you too (Having experienced both, I highly recommend their in-person programs over virtual)

The staff are very supportive and I had a productive time there. The billing department and staff are not supportive and are a complete mess. I had met my OOP with my first session there but they continued to try to bill me periodically despite my repeated explanations. I finished with the program last week and I suddenly started getting billed again. Now they are demanding that I prove to them that I met my OOP, which is something they can easily verify.

Im on day 5 of a jury trial. I've been a patient for 4 years. I went from 16mg down to 1mg. I haven't touched an opiate since Dec of 2021. Today, God forbid, I come in on a schefuled appointment, a day early, on a month prescription. Why? Because I happened to run out 24 hours early due to difficulties weening off subs. Something that a doctor would likely expect and appreciate. Alexis, Im sorry I didn't just hold out til Friday. I didn't want to be in full blown withdrawals during a pivotal moment in my career. Shame on me. Next month, instead of giving you full disclosure i'll tell you a fairytale. That must be so much more productive. Do you think I disclose the truth because I'm an idiot? No, it's because I actually trust professionals. You breached it. I don't want special treatment. However, if you're going to play a petty game, have the guts to say it to my face. I can't come tomorrow morning and show you my half strip. That doesn't mean I'm selling the sub strips or some other ridiculous concern. I have children who need to get to school and/or a babysitter and then I need to be in court for a trial. I can come Saturday. Hopefully that's ok with you doc. Pretty please. Lsstly, I left 5 stars because no one else had ever done this to me without saying it to my face first. I owe Symetria a lot, especially Rachel. I will remove this Saturday night. My point is Alexis, say it to the patient's face. 16mg down to 1mg and you make me feel like a criminal? Its comical. Its not like I just showed up. I rescheduled. Its called discretion. Use it.

I continue to trust Symetria staff with my life and have not been disappointed. I did not show up for a few days because I was sick….the staff there called me every day until I answered, and they got me to come back in for my treatment and back on track. It is rare to find people who truly care about you as an individual, Symetria is one of the rare companies with people who care.
