My experiences in the Spear building have always been good. Linda T always greets me with a smile and kindness. Julie V. is a wonderful prescriber. She's very attentive to my whole body and life, not just my mental health. Dana the nurse is always kind and helpful. I've been a client there since 2012 and I don't want to get my care from anyone else.

Doing the hard work in therapy is the key. I've been through physical and mental therapy, and likewise with both, you get out what you put in. Whether it's psych, therapy, group sessions, a skills coach...as much as you can engage in, dig deep and show up.
My road has been rough and the journey isn't over, and it feels good to have a team under one roof, along with a group of peers I see every week whom can actually empathize with me, because they're going it through it too.
It's a place with real people. Have I had an occasional communication/scheduling blip? Yes, but it's extremely rare. And the environment is appropriate for what the setting is, which I appreciate.
The support staff is friendly and helpful. The practioners that have helped me, including Wyeth, Julie, Lacy, and Alicia, along with the peer group, have been great.
I highly recommend their services.

Evansville, Indiana | Deaconess Cross Pointe Outpatient Services is located in Evansville, Indiana. This is a recovery facility that works with adults and adolescents. They have services that cater to individuals who have a dual diagnosis of substance use disorders. Care is offered in an outpatient setting. There's also a partial hospitalization program (PHP) for adults | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I had never sought out therapy prior to being referred here by my PCP. I was placed with a very kind, compassionate and caring therapist who I still see 3 years later here.
I have done their PHP program - which was fantastic and very eye opening for myself. Every therapist and social worker there were so supportive and took time to talk to you if you needed to talk, they never made you feel small or unwanted in each group class.
I’ve also started EDMR and my therapist has been very gentle with that also. Hands down would return here again if by chance I ever had to quit. I recommend this facility to everyone.
You have to be willing to make that change for yourself. These wonderful people cannot do it for you. You have to want it. It’s not handed to you. It’s very hard work. I’m just happy I have Cross Pointe behind me to move forward.

A couple months ago I spent about a week in here at 17 years old. I was the oldest kid there at the time. So trust me when I say this is a great facility. I absolutely loved it there. I have never been more able to feel like myself without being judged for it. Even through the harsh breakdowns I had, the NT made me feel like I wasn’t crazy for feeling like that. The food was absolutely amazing and helped me bc I was having major issues with eating before I came in. They understood if I needed a minute away from everyone to console myself. A special thanks to David. He made everyone laugh and feel better no matter what type of day we were having. The thought of him working that night had everyone so excited. There were some times where I would have a breakdown and he would talk to me at a level that didn’t make me feel like I was insane like every other psychiatrist i’ve seen makes me feel. He would do karaoke with us and sing tswift😂 We would laugh and make fun of him abt anything and everything. We all definitely got attached to him and hated to leave. But the whole place made me feel a lot better. I even asked to live there a couple of times 😭 As a former patient in the 11-17 part of it, I definitely recommend this place. Not every nurse was the sweetest but overall no one ever made us feel bad about ourselves. we did group every day and even had activity therapy where we got to paint, pet dogs, make stress balls, etc. This place definitely holds a place in my heart. THANK YOU CROSS POINT!!
( Will also mention that they were completely open and respectful to all pronouns and names!!)

I am truly grateful for the exceptional care I receive from Dr. Desiree Craig. From the moment she enters the room, her warm and compassionate presence puts me at ease. She takes the time to listen carefully to my concerns, never rushing, and always making me feel fully heard and understood. Her communication is outstanding—she explains every step, every option, and every detail in a way that is clear, thorough, and reassuring.
What sets Dr. Craig apart is the genuine compassion she shows in every interaction. She approaches her patients with a level of empathy and kindness that is rare to find. Whether addressing a new issue or following up on something ongoing, she is thoughtful, patient, and truly committed to ensuring I receive the best care possible. You can feel that she genuinely cares about her patients’ well-being, both physically and emotionally.
Her professionalism is unmatched, and she consistently creates an environment where I feel safe, respected, and supported. Each visit with her is a positive experience, and I always leave feeling confident and well cared for.
I cannot recommend Dr. Craig highly enough for anyone seeking a doctor who combines expert medical care with exceptional compassion and understanding.

First off I would like to say that Dr. Malek's office as a whole has a great atmosphere and any employee that i came in contact with has been very upbeat and friendly. My primary doctor Mrs. Desiree Craig is amazing, she is very welcoming and friendly. Always greets you with a smile no matter what her days may have brought before her. Mrs. Craig takes the time to really get to know her patients and doesn't make you feel like a "number". There have been times when I had to wait a little longer past my appointment time but I feel she is worth the wait. A lot of doctors these days just want to get you in and out, she actually takes the time to really listen to your complaints and takes the necessary measures to dig in deeper if thats what is medically necessary. She is always polite and in my experience very well observant. She would know when things were bothering me without me even saying anything. Most doctors I have seen in the past would always either have someone in the room recording everything or others in and out of their rooms while with patients, I can honestly say I have never experienced that with Dr. Craig. I would recommend this office to anyone and would definitely recommend Dr. Desiree Craig!

Evansville, Indiana | In Evansville, Indiana, families can find inpatient mental healthcare for children ages five to 13 at Evansville Psychiatric Children’s Center (EPCC). Many children who come for treatment have been diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder but they treat children with other mental health conditions. While they don’t offer addictio | Treatments Payment Options | I cannot say enough good things about this facility. After spending eight months at another center that pales in comparison and reading previous negative Google reviews, I can say I was cautiously optimistic and hesitant about sending my son to EPCC; but I am so grateful that I did. From the very beginning, I was pleasantly surprised by the level of care, communication, and compassion shown by the entire team.
His therapist, Cally Large, was absolutely phenomenal. She consistently communicated with me about his progress and treatment, offered helpful courses to prepare me for his return home, and continued to support us months prior to and after his discharge. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that my son’s needs were met, arranging visits not only for me and his siblings but also for both sets of grandparents. My son had nothing but positive things to say about his OTs, Alex his RT, and the residential staff.
They made sure he received full medical and personal care, including doctor and dentist appointments, a vision screening and new glasses, and even haircuts. They planned fun outings, both one-on-one with his therapist to build social skills and in group settings with other patients. The facility also completed thorough psychological testing, which helped clarify and narrow down his previously long list of diagnoses.
After six months at EPCC, my 9-year-old came home a new kid. He now communicates his emotions and goals so effectively, accepts consequences with understanding, and handles challenges with remarkable patience. The explosive anger and hours-long meltdowns we once faced are no longer part of our daily life.
EPCC didn’t just help my son, they helped our entire family heal and grow. I will forever be grateful for the extraordinary care, dedication, and heart this facility poured into his treatment.
