About Brentwood Springs

Brentwood Springs offers a full continuum of addiction and mental health treatment through personalized care plans that meet the needs of its patients. Their levels of care provide many services, including:

The facility offers fully supervised detox services to help minimize the discomfort of withdrawal and ensure patient safety. Therapeutic programming is also provided throughout the detox process. Detox typically lasts between 1-3 weeks, depending on the substance used, the symptoms of the patient, and other factors unique to the patient’s needs.

Inpatient treatment provides semi private hotel rooms and outdoor areas during the patient’s stay. Based on individual patients’ needs, various treatment is provided, including behavioral and holistic therapies, wellness education, educational programs, and recreational activities. The length of stay depends on the individual.

A PHP is often a “step down” option for individuals who have received inpatient treatment. Typically the programs generally last up to 12 hours a day, five days a week. Treatment may include behavioral and holistic therapies, group meetings, and medication.

IOPs provide care to those who do not require round the clock medical care or crisis stabilization. These programs usually last 3-5 days a week with three hours of treatment per day. Most IOPs offer some combination of supervised medication management, education, training and skill building, and individual talk therapy or support meetings.

I have been told good things about Brentwood this is the reason ai called for help. However, I am very disappointed in what they say is the process of a call back. Chatted last Monday 8/18 with an online person took all my info. She was to refer all the info for the next person who would call me back within 72 hours. Today is Sunday 8/24 still no call back. So I place another call on Friday 8/22 put in all my info online it says someone will call me within 24 hours. It is once again Sunday 8/24 no response. I am in need of adolescent help and intense therapy they say they offer. Very disappointing.

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! I went here willingly and I was admitted into inpatient in May 2023 for addiction issues. They will do everything in their power to keep you in there longer than you need to be to milk your insurance dry. This place was the WORST! No one ever listens to you, you constantly have to repeat yourself and your story to the same people over and over. The food is AWFUL! I went multiple days without eating because the food was that bad! The food did not have any flavor and was mushy. If you decide that you want to leave, you have to sign a paper and they have 24 hours to give you an answer which they will wait until the last minute to give to you. If you sign the paper, you cannot go to anything. You cannot go to therapy, cannot go outside to smoke or do any activities, you can’t go to the cafeteria, it’s just absolutely insane. I told the doctors repeatedly that I was ready to go home and they just ignored me and made me stay longer than I needed to. The staff constantly talk about the patients and make fun of them. They break HIPPA constantly as well. The staff will become close to some patients and trash talk other patients with them. So unprofessional! They also put you on so many medications that are so unnecessary just to charge your insurance more. The only thing good about this place was a nurse named Judy (I think that was her name), she was absolutely amazing and did everything in her power to make me feel comfortable and not in pain. Darrel was absolutely amazing too, he was the best as well as an African American woman which I forgot what her name was. Don’t even get me started on their outpatient services. They put me in PHP which I think was 4-5 days a week for 6 to 8 hours. It was a complete waste of time. I got sick after the first week of the outpatient program and I had to miss 2 days because I was throwing up constantly. I called each day and told them I was sick. I felt better after 2 days and I went there to go to class. I went up to the counter and they said my name was not on the list to check in. The group leader came out and said I was kicked out of the program for missing those 2 days. I told her I was sick and also said I called each day to tell them, it wasn’t like I did a no call, no show. Still, they kicked me out and I never got any help after that. Thank God I was strong enough to stay sober, no thanks to them. This place is the absolute worst and only cares about the money. Other than that, this place was a living hell. I will never go back. Weeks after my visit was over, they sent me this bill that said if I paid a 1500 dollars by a certain date, then they wouldn’t make me pay the other $700. I paid the amount and thought that would be the last of the bill. NOPE!!! THEN, a few weeks later, they sent me another bill that said I had to pay $700 which is the exact same amount as the discount that they said I didn’t have to pay if I paid the $1500 by a certain date. I ended up having to pay the $700 which I should not have had to do because they were going to send it to collections. I called and called and was repeatedly told that they would fix the bill so that I didn’t have to pay the $700 since I had already paid the $1500 by the date they said in order to get the discount. However, they never fixed it and I had to pay the $700 or they would send it to collections even though I was told I didn’t have to pay it by many of the employees in the financial department. Please do NOT go here and do NOT send your loved ones here!

Accepted Insurance

Please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Brentwood Springs works with several private insurance providers, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

In the Inpatient Program, patients receive detailed clinical and medical assessments, psychiatric stabilization and rehabilitation care. This program offers the advantages of a controlled, structured environment with 24-hour nursing care and intensive treatment not available on an outpatient basis. It may include up to 10 hours per day of programming. During treatment, each patient connects with a treatment team, including a physician, nurse, primary therapist and recreational therapist. A full schedule of treatment activities addresses the biological, psychological and relationship skills needed for recovery. These activities include group therapy, fitness and wellness, education lectures and family engagement, among others.

Brentwood Springs offers two options for those looking for outpatient mental health and addiction treatment. Their Intensive Outpatient Program is detailed below and you can click here for information on our Partial Hospitalization Program. The Intensive Outpatient Program provides structured therapy three days a week. Patients typically spend 9-15 hours per week in the program. The treatment model is evidence-based and a combination of national recognized programs including the Hazelden program, motivation enhancement therapy, reality therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, twelve step facilitation and dialectical behavioral therapy. Recreation, art and music therapy groups are also provided.

A partial hospitalization program (PHP) can provide intensive rehab on a short-term basis. While PHP treatment typically requires a commute, telehealth may be available. PHP treatment costs can vary but are often covered by most insurance. The program duration can vary to meet your specific needs and require you to meet for a minimum of 20 hours a week for an average of 90 days. PHP Treatment services often include relapse prevention strategies, medication management, individual and group counseling, and other behavioral therapy interventions.

At certain points in the recovery process, it's important to have support available 24/7. 24-hour clinical care offers a safe environment in which to recover from drug or alcohol addiction in peace, knowing medical detox and other treatment will happen with professionals on hand.

When removing addictive substances from your body under the care of licensed medical professionals, the process is called medically assisted detox. Once you've become physically dependent on substances like alcohol, opioids, or benzodiazepines, quitting can be uncomfortable or even dangerous. To minimize risks to your health and overall discomfort, a team of medical professionals monitors you 24/7 and provides medications if necessary (like Suboxone or methadone) to ease potential symptoms of withdrawal.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

For long-term recovery from drug addiction, drug rehab in Indiana is often key. This treatment gives individuals who are struggling with a substance use disorder the tools to manage their disorder and achieve long-term sobriety.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Indiana provides substance abuse treatment programs for individuals with substance use disorders. With a range of care levels, including outpatient, inpatient, and partial hospitalization programs, you'll be able to find the right treatment for you. Programs usually include a substance abuse evaluation, evidence-based therapies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and group therapy address substance abuse and enhance coping strategies. By offering personalized treatment plans and a supportive environment, these programs strengthen your ability to maintain your recovery.

Addiction treatment includes a wide range of mental health services. Professional mental health clinicians provide 24-hour care, and treatments often involve individual and group counseling sessions, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), experiential therapies (equine and animal therapy, outdoor therapy groups, and individual / group counseling sessions designed to simultaneously address both mental health and substance abuse.

Programs

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Serving in the military is both mentally and physically challenging, and can result in trauma that persists even after combat ends. Military programs are tailored to the specific and often complex needs of active duty personnel, veterans, and military families. Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Teen programs are designed to address the unique pressures teens face, pressures that can drive them to experiment with dangerous, addictive substances. They need programs that meet them exactly where they are and give them tools for long-term recovery. Therapy can help teenagers understand and work through underlying issues so they can reclaim the life ahead of them.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

Eating disorders include anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, and dysfunctional eating patterns. Many psychologists and other mental health professionals consider eating disorders to be food addictions, meaning food is being used in an addictive way (similar to drug or alcohol addiction). Certain substance abuse treatment programs will have treatment for eating disorders as one of the services offered. An eating disorder may also present as a co-occuring disorder or dual diagnosis alongside drug and alcohol addiction.

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional talk therapy by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.

Families have the opportunity to participate in education and support groups to increase their understanding of addiction and mental illness. This process helps them learn about themselves and their roles and responsibilities in the recovery process. With this important information in hand, the family has a greater opportunity to reunite and start interacting in a more helpful and healthy manner.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

Nutrition therapy, aka medical nutrition therapy (MNT), is a way of treating physical, emotional, and medical conditions through diet. Specific dietary plans are designed by professional nutritionists or registered dietitians, and patients follow them in order to positively affect their physical and mental health.

Recreational therapy integrates structured activities into a holistic treatment program to help promote your physical and mental health and well being. You might engage in sports, creative arts, or outdoor adventures as a positive outlet for your stress and emotions. This helps you develop new interests and build a supportive network that helps you maintain long term sobriety.
