Wow! I read the last review and I am not surprised in the least! I had an experience with this facility and while the lady was pretty confident that I was going to enroll. I guess you thought I had no other choice. She made it clear that she had control over me and if I was one minute late that would mean that my probation would go on forever and that the facility would profit as much as possible based on any problems getting rides that I don't normally need. Clearly the more dependent you are before this happens the higher your rate of success. If you are independent and you have to find dependence on other people then you are likely to fail. SteppingStone makes absolutely no sense. They are a profit machine that is supported highly by city and that is why they are at the top of their list. If you are ever in a position where you have to use rehabilitative services I highly recommend that you skip over this option. Remember me if you're ever in there and they tell you how big of an addict you are when the truth is you just have a life and you made one mistake.

I’ve been here before with my human! This He’s taking care of his mental health after getting dealt a really bad hand in life. Life hasn’t been kind to him lately, and it shows in the weight he carries every day. Coming back to Brentwood Springs feels like returning to a place that actually gets it. The staff here is compassionate and professional. They create a safe, structured environment where my human can focus on healing. The inpatient and outpatient options give real flexibility, and the therapy groups, medication management, and recreational activities seem to help him start processing things he’s been holding onto for too long. He is involved in the Hope4Hero’s program which helps with Active, Veterans and first responders. This program has been so helpful for him. It’s not easy watching someone you love struggle, but seeing him get the support he needs here brings me some peace. The facility is clean and calm, which makes a big difference when emotions are running high. I appreciate how they treat the whole person—not just the symptoms—and include family/ support system education too. It reminds me that he’s not alone in this, even on the toughest days. If you or someone you care about is facing serious mental health challenges or co-occurring issues, Brentwood Springs is a place worth considering. They’ve helped us and I’m hopeful they’ll help my human find some stability and strength now. Thank you to the team at Brentwood Springs for the care you provide. There really is hope and help here. — Skye (Supportive companion to a human working hard on his mental health)

I had never sought out therapy prior to being referred here by my PCP. I was placed with a very kind, compassionate and caring therapist who I still see 3 years later here. I have done their PHP program - which was fantastic and very eye opening for myself. Every therapist and social worker there were so supportive and took time to talk to you if you needed to talk, they never made you feel small or unwanted in each group class. I’ve also started EDMR and my therapist has been very gentle with that also. Hands down would return here again if by chance I ever had to quit. I recommend this facility to everyone. You have to be willing to make that change for yourself. These wonderful people cannot do it for you. You have to want it. It’s not handed to you. It’s very hard work. I’m just happy I have Cross Pointe behind me to move forward.

I’ve been here twice and if I needed to go back I would. I see a lot of reviews about terrible staff and awful nps. Truth is there are people who do it cause they care and people who do it to work. My techs 9/10 were amazing but I also followed rules. I was comforted when I cried by staff that cared. I will say there are people here that are way too old school or just flat out mean. Those are the people I just chose to try to ignore or request someone else. It is an impatient program many people have many different issues. You are going to see things you don’t like and don’t agree with some that even triggered me, that will be everywhere you go. Only thing you can do is be honest and take time in your process.

I cannot say enough good things about this facility. After spending eight months at another center that pales in comparison and reading previous negative Google reviews, I can say I was cautiously optimistic and hesitant about sending my son to EPCC; but I am so grateful that I did. From the very beginning, I was pleasantly surprised by the level of care, communication, and compassion shown by the entire team. His therapist, Cally Large, was absolutely phenomenal. She consistently communicated with me about his progress and treatment, offered helpful courses to prepare me for his return home, and continued to support us months prior to and after his discharge. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that my son’s needs were met, arranging visits not only for me and his siblings but also for both sets of grandparents. My son had nothing but positive things to say about his OTs, Alex his RT, and the residential staff. They made sure he received full medical and personal care, including doctor and dentist appointments, a vision screening and new glasses, and even haircuts. They planned fun outings, both one-on-one with his therapist to build social skills and in group settings with other patients. The facility also completed thorough psychological testing, which helped clarify and narrow down his previously long list of diagnoses. After six months at EPCC, my 9-year-old came home a new kid. He now communicates his emotions and goals so effectively, accepts consequences with understanding, and handles challenges with remarkable patience. The explosive anger and hours-long meltdowns we once faced are no longer part of our daily life. EPCC didn’t just help my son, they helped our entire family heal and grow. I will forever be grateful for the extraordinary care, dedication, and heart this facility poured into his treatment.

I was there during the 1990s 1999 - 2000 and a lot has changed about that place since the 1970s and it still is changing throughout the years to come because when I was there there was kids capable of doing things for themselves today there are kids that can't do anything for themselves they can't do they can't even take care of themselves so what's up with sending those kids that can't really do things for themselves there that's why they have damar cuz damar is for developmental disability in Evansville psychiatric children's center is for crazy children in children who are dangerous I was once dangerous I remember bashing Randy Rickard's head through the wall nearly killing him but now that I'm not dangerous anymore I've changed over the years and now I'm chilling laid back because I decided to take a step back from this whole violent behavior and situation and all that I no longer have to be violent I can just get violent out of defense but not out of anger because because I used to get violent out of anger as a child I was like a child of rage nowadays I just fight to defend myself but I promise that I will never put my kid in that situation with dangerous children but I'm not putting my kid in any facility I'm going to raise em the right way but I do know good stuff there like Tony Todd Larry Nellis and all them good staff I even know Miss Valerie it's like nostalgia but and I'm glad that I'm not in prison right now for what I did to Randy Rickard Bashing his head through a wall nearly killing him because he called me the n-word and I did not like that that was totally wrong of him to do but it was also wrong of me to bash his head through a wall and nearly killing him that I will not do again but I promise that I'm not violent anymore I'm more chill and laid-back hopefully every child learns her lesson not to be as dangerous as I was and hopefully they learn how to use coping skills like I did there thanks to EPCC I've learned every coping skill in the book thank you for all your hard work to get me back on track before I went to IDTC and by the way Tony Todd was a good staff and he was a really good staff he understood me he was kind of a funny man he liked to entertain what I got to say is R.I.P Tony Todd I'll see you in heaven and I'll be there before you know it

Outpatient treatment for substance use includes individual and group counseli
This place is amazing for people that are willing to put in the effort, time, dedication, and work into themselves to better their mental health. Be honest and vulnerable with your psychologist to get diagnosed accurately. They only know what they’re told. Work with the staff while being open and receptive to treatment. It’s that simple. I finally got accurately diagnosed, got on personalized medication, talked daily with a therapist so we could talk about strategies to overcome my personal challenges, and I put in the work for myself; this place isn’t a quick solution or a “cure all” by any means, it’s the first step forward you just have to use the opportunity, be consistent with putting effort, love, care, time, and dedication into yourself. BOTTOM LINE: Work With The Staff and Put In The Work to make a better life for yourself. You have to put in the work for you, they can’t fix all of your problems for you: PUT IN THE WORK 💪🏻
