They are a true blessing from God. If it wasn't for them, God, my mother, and my kids I wouldn't be here today. No lie. They have never once turned me away. They have been here through my very worst days to now my best days. You know growing up i never thought I would have ever even come close to having any addictions such as these street drugs. Always thought my addiction would have been makeup or high heels, but you know noone when they are little claims that they wanna be an addict when they grow up... unfortunately, it just happens. But by it happening i have met some of the most wonderful people in my life at this clinic. The most God sent individuals!! Miss Tonja has been here since day one and Amber. Miss Amber and Miss Tonja are my life. If they were to ever leave this location ohh my!! I know because of their help and dedication I will never relapse, I can now say that with full confidence, but it sure would not be the same here without them. Never. Not once did either of them turn me away and there were times that I definitely would have turned myself away but they didn't. They fought not only for my well being but my soul, my family, my children. They also, with my permission (they never do anything without permission from you), even involved my mother with my treatment. & that is something I truly love. My mother is my everything, my best friend, so her opinions, feelings, and thoughts matter to me. Theres nothing in this life my mother doesn't know about me. Just as Miss Amber and Tonja. I can honestly say that throughout the past 14+ years that I have been here (note, I choose to stay here. I don't have too) a ton has happened and my choices has caused tons of hurt and heartaches but I am no longer there anymore. & neither do you have to live that horrible life anymore. I highly recommend that you come to this very location and talk to them because they are not here for just the money. They are mainly here for you and your treatment, your wellbeing, your life, your family, your children, even your soul. YOU!! You can tell these people anything and everything and I promise you they will not judge you, they will not hold it against you. They will help you grow. They will help you become that person you were before your addiction. Or if you font even wanna be that person you were before the addiction than they can help you to be someone new and better!! Remember, there is always a way!! Always!! Don't ever let anyone tell you that there isn't or that it isn't possible because if I can do it than I know you can. Remember addiction does not discriminate. Addiction doesn't care if you are poor or rich, or if you are a doctor, lawyer, homeless, on disability, work for the state, a teacher, a customer service representative, it doesn't matter. Addiction doesn't care how old you are either. Addiction doesn't care about your skin color, your health concerns, none of that. The only thing addiction cares about is taking everything and everyone away from you and it will. If you allow it to. Don't allow the devil that pleasure anymore. Don't. The issues that I currently possess are ones that are going to be with me for the rest of my life. 16 years down the road and I am still struggling to adapt and function in some ways. Throw in the fact that I am going through a divorce with a woman who has done nothing to ease my issues and I was forced to visit caradtar crisis center in Montgomery for help. I did not know what to expect but all of the therapists and psychiatrists made it clear why they were there and that was solely to assist. The other patients were there for reasons differing from mine but the therapists and employees all do a great job of remembering that we are there because we need their help and because of that, everyone was always helping. Not only did they help with their designated duties but they were also able to communicate with all of us in a way where they seemed concerned for us and although it was clear they had seen a lot of the other patients before, they never let themselves express frustration or agitation with their continued return. I understand the employees at carastar were hired to fill a role and accomplish responsibilities but I appreciate that they never acted like it was bothersome to help any of us and they NEVER came off as anything but a friend that was trying to help. I finally came here for just a regular annual pap smear because tuskegee was the closest appointment day I could get, Montgomery appointments were months out. Mind you I'm from Montgomery. I figured any opportunity to see someone else was an opportunity I could probably get someone to help me. I was willing to take the drive. I ended up seeing Rakia Williams and she already noticed abnormalities during the exam and scheduled me for an ultrasound (pelvic and transvaginal) but the results was inconclusive, I had a second one done and also ct scan, then finally and MRI, which determined I have Adenomyosis and other multiple issues. Now I'm finally scheduled for a hysteroscopy to determine treatment and can finally see the light at the end if the tunnel. I just want to thank Rakia Williams in womens health 🙏 for not giving up on figuring out my issues and concerns and responding to my calls as well as following up with me about information. Thank you for not thinking im crazy and that its all in my head. You are truly appreciated, patient, a kind soul, blessed and may you achieve all of you accomplishments and future endeavors. This place saved my life. The staff is amazing I love them, they have become sort of like family as long as I've been getting treatment under their care. The nurses are so sweet and caring. Mrs. Tonja is the best, i couldn't ask for a better councilor and Mrs. Amber the director is also very understanding and patient and all together amazing. Let me first start off by saying this place has helped to save my life but the actually people here, the employees, like the councilors such as Miss Tonja, Mr. Larry, and the head honcho, lol, Miss Amber, now they have actually saved my life. They are a true blessing from God. If it wasn't for them, God, my mother, and my kids I wouldn't be here today. No lie. They have never once turned me away. They have been here through my very worst days to now my best days. You know growing up i never thought I would have ever even come close to having any addictions such as these street drugs. Always thought my addiction would have been makeup or high heels, but you know noone when they are little claims that they wanna be an addict when they grow up... unfortunately, it just happens. But by it happening i have met some of the most wonderful people in my life at this clinic. The most God sent individuals!! Miss Tonja has been here since day one and Amber. Miss Amber and Miss Tonja are my life. If they were to ever leave this location ohh my!! I know because of their help and dedication I will never relapse, I can now say that with full confidence, but it sure would not be the same here without them. Never. Not once did either of them turn me away and there were times that I definitely would have turned myself away but they didn't. They fought not only for my well being but my soul, my family, my children. They also, with my permission (they never do anything without permission from you), even involved my mother with my treatment. & that is something I truly love. My mother is my everything, my best friend, so her opinions, feelings, and thoughts matter to me. Theres nothing in this life my mother doesn't know about me. Just as Miss Amber and Tonja. I can honestly say that throughout the past 14+ years that I have been here (note, I choose to stay here. I don't have too) a ton has happened and my choices has caused tons of hurt and heartaches but I am no longer there anymore. & neither do you have to live that horrible life anymore. I highly recommend that you come to this very location and talk to them because they are not here for just the money. They are mainly here for you and your treatment, your wellbeing, your life, your family, your children, even your soul. YOU!! You can tell these people anything and everything and I promise you they will not judge you, they will not hold it against you. They will help you grow. They will help you become that person you were before your addiction. Or if you font even wanna be that person you were before the addiction than they can help you to be someone new and better!! Remember, there is always a way!! Always!! Don't ever let anyone tell you that there isn't or that it isn't possible because if I can do it than I know you can. Remember addiction does not discriminate. Addiction doesn't care if you are poor or rich, or if you are a doctor, lawyer, homeless, on disability, work for the state, a teacher, a customer service representative, it doesn't matter. Addiction doesn't care how old you are either. Addiction doesn't care about your skin color, your health concerns, none of that. The only thing addiction cares about is taking everything and everyone away from you and it will. If you allow it to. Don't allow the devil that pleasure anymore. Don't. Doctor Clark is by far the most caring and and understanding doctor I've ever had. She is also my OBGYN. She cares about how you feel and what you have to say. Dr. Clinton Smith really helped me understand the power of the subconscious and the part it plays in our emotions and habits therefore how we respond and react in our world. Through my sessions with him and hypnotherapy I experienced a profound change in how I react especially in situations that were triggering me creating fear and worry. In 2010 I had a traumatic brain injury which put me in a 2 month coma, months of rehab to learn how to walk again and months of therapy that I was unable to complete. The issues that I currently possess are ones that are going to be with me for the rest of my life. 16 years down the road and I am still struggling to adapt and function in some ways. Throw in the fact that I am going through a divorce with a woman who has done nothing to ease my issues and I was forced to visit caradtar crisis center in Montgomery for help. I did not know what to expect but all of the therapists and psychiatrists made it clear why they were there and that was solely to assist. The other patients were there for reasons differing from mine but the therapists and employees all do a great job of remembering that we are there because we need their help and because of that, everyone was always helping. Not only did they help with their designated duties but they were also able to communicate with all of us in a way where they seemed concerned for us and although it was clear they had seen a lot of the other patients before, they never let themselves express frustration or agitation with their continued return. I understand the employees at carastar were hired to fill a role and accomplish responsibilities but I appreciate that they never acted like it was bothersome to help any of us and they NEVER came off as anything but a friend that was trying to help. I really only have positive things to say.

I came here needing a real change and that's what I got. The program is definitely tough but sometimes that's what you need to break old habits. It’s pretty structured, with a lot of discipline and no shortcuts allowed. What really stood out to me was how much they lean on the Bible and its teachings. It’s a big part of the healing here. I do wish I’d had a little more access to my kids or family during the program, but I get that they want you to stay focused on the program. It’s definitely not fancy but it’s a genuine place and they really help you. I’m grateful for the help I got to get started in recovery.

A Nu Direction is the best detox center in the state of Alabama. The staff are amazing. Dr Thompson is amazing and of course Mrs Jasmine is awesome. I have had good visits with the Wetumpka mental health. The lady who works front desk has always been helpful to me as well as other staff. The only issue I have is bout a month ago they said they didn’t have a doctor the one who prescribes the medicine . Have not received a phone call yet saying that have a new doctor. The staff, nurses and primary care are helpful. The men's restroom near the waiting area is in deplorable condition! 1 urinal is wrapped up and out of order. The 2nd urinal floods the floor every other flush. I had to alert another veteran using a walker the floor was flooded. The sink faucets leak water. The overall condition is very bad.

This is maybe my second time here, I'm giving this place 5 stars because I have been in pain for months, going to see multiple different people at different places, Even went to ER on and off about my pain, dizziness, blackouts and extra heavy bleeding just to be sent home with no solution and people thinking it was just anxiety. I finally came here for just a regular annual pap smear because tuskegee was the closest appointment day I could get, Montgomery appointments were months out. Mind you I'm from Montgomery. I figured any opportunity to see someone else was an opportunity I could probably get someone to help me. I was willing to take the drive. I ended up seeing Rakia Williams and she already noticed abnormalities during the exam and scheduled me for an ultrasound (pelvic and transvaginal) but the results was inconclusive, I had a second one done and also ct scan, then finally and MRI, which determined I have Adenomyosis and other multiple issues. Now I'm finally scheduled for a hysteroscopy to determine treatment and can finally see the light at the end if the tunnel. I just want to thank Rakia Williams in womens health 🙏 for not giving up on figuring out my issues and concerns and responding to my calls as well as following up with me about information. Thank you for not thinking im crazy and that its all in my head. You are truly appreciated, patient, a kind soul, blessed and may you achieve all of you accomplishments and future endeavors. Thank You ❤️

This place gave me my life back. Turning points staff gave me the opportunity to heal from pain caused by my active addiction, and equipped me with the spiritual and practical principles to walk out long term recovery.
