They not only saved my life but also my future 🙏🙏 Leigh Sargent is an incredible person and a great listener I only had one minor issue with a nurse and Leigh had it fixed immediately!!! If you are struggling with addiction please let her help you..she and her staff are amazing and really fast at getting you in and keeping you comfortable!!!!!!! My personal addiction was alcohol..but I was drinking to stop shaking from side effects from Gabapentin and being an artist that could have been career ending and Leigh absolutely saved me 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 if you are suffering from addiction of any sort or type please do yourself a favor and get some help from her immediately….I can guarantee you not only will she get you through it but she will check on you constantly and her staff as well!! They are a true blessing from God. If it wasn't for them, God, my mother, and my kids I wouldn't be here today. No lie. They have never once turned me away. They have been here through my very worst days to now my best days. You know growing up i never thought I would have ever even come close to having any addictions such as these street drugs. Always thought my addiction would have been makeup or high heels, but you know noone when they are little claims that they wanna be an addict when they grow up... unfortunately, it just happens. But by it happening i have met some of the most wonderful people in my life at this clinic. The most God sent individuals!! Miss Tonja has been here since day one and Amber. Miss Amber and Miss Tonja are my life. If they were to ever leave this location ohh my!! I know because of their help and dedication I will never relapse, I can now say that with full confidence, but it sure would not be the same here without them. Never. Not once did either of them turn me away and there were times that I definitely would have turned myself away but they didn't. They fought not only for my well being but my soul, my family, my children. They also, with my permission (they never do anything without permission from you), even involved my mother with my treatment. & that is something I truly love. My mother is my everything, my best friend, so her opinions, feelings, and thoughts matter to me. Theres nothing in this life my mother doesn't know about me. Just as Miss Amber and Tonja. I can honestly say that throughout the past 14+ years that I have been here (note, I choose to stay here. I don't have too) a ton has happened and my choices has caused tons of hurt and heartaches but I am no longer there anymore. & neither do you have to live that horrible life anymore. I highly recommend that you come to this very location and talk to them because they are not here for just the money. They are mainly here for you and your treatment, your wellbeing, your life, your family, your children, even your soul. YOU!! You can tell these people anything and everything and I promise you they will not judge you, they will not hold it against you. They will help you grow. They will help you become that person you were before your addiction. Or if you font even wanna be that person you were before the addiction than they can help you to be someone new and better!! Remember, there is always a way!! Always!! Don't ever let anyone tell you that there isn't or that it isn't possible because if I can do it than I know you can. Remember addiction does not discriminate. Addiction doesn't care if you are poor or rich, or if you are a doctor, lawyer, homeless, on disability, work for the state, a teacher, a customer service representative, it doesn't matter. Addiction doesn't care how old you are either. Addiction doesn't care about your skin color, your health concerns, none of that. The only thing addiction cares about is taking everything and everyone away from you and it will. If you allow it to. Don't allow the devil that pleasure anymore. Don't. Come to Montgomery Metro Treatment Center and speak to Miss Amber, Mr. Larry, Miss Tonja, anyone and get your life back. I have never been arrested and I figured it would be really hard to be a dad while in active addiction. That was in 2001. I've moved around to different places, Gadsden, Trussville, Tuscaloosa and others. I really loved the people in Tuscaloosa and hated leaving. I had to return to the Oxford area, to help with my mom who was terminal with cancer. When I transferred back to Oxford they were great. I loved the staff. At one point they were down to a skeleton crew, they did the best they could at the time with what they had. They have gotten more staff now and they are wonderful. I don't feel like my number so much. Yes, they are strict on the rules but look at what they deal with. I can manipulate just about anyone as an active addict. We all have that power. I am NOT one of them! This facility is well laid out, and the staff is efficient and helpful. I had one glitch with their optometry department, but otherwise, no issues in 2+ years of going here. What they cannot do, they refer out for Community Care, or suggest the Birmingham VA. Despite Birmingham being nearly 2 hours each way, it’s been worth the trip each of the 2 times I went there. Unless I move, I will continue to go to this clinic, and I’ll recommend it. I appreciate the staff there each time I visit. Wingate were the best people & care I have received military or civilian that I can even remember. My anxiety was in full blown mode and April made me feel so understood and she was such a comfort. And B. Wingate made me feel heard and understood and set up all test, meds and referrals that were needed. I feel extremely bless to have had these two taking care of me and can not stress enough how quick , efficient and KIND they both were. The ladies at the front desk were beyond helpful as well getting my future appointments schedule before I left. I have nothing but good things to say for Oxford VA Clinic! The overall condition is very bad. joe 2 months ago This is maybe my second time here, I'm giving this place 5 stars because I have been in pain for months, going to see multiple different people at different places, Even went to ER on and off about my pain, dizziness, blackouts and extra heavy bleeding just to be sent home with no solution and people thinking it was just anxiety. I finally came here for just a regular annual pap smear because tuskegee was the closest appointment day I could get, Montgomery appointments were months out. Mind you I'm from Montgomery. I figured any opportunity to see someone else was an opportunity I could probably get someone to help me. I was willing to take the drive. I ended up seeing Rakia Williams and she already noticed abnormalities during the exam and scheduled me for an ultrasound (pelvic and transvaginal) but the results was inconclusive, I had a second one done and also ct scan, then finally and MRI, which determined I have Adenomyosis and other multiple issues. Now I'm finally scheduled for a hysteroscopy to determine treatment and can finally see the light at the end if the tunnel. I just want to thank Rakia Williams in womens health 🙏 for not giving up on figuring out my issues and concerns and responding to my calls as well as following up with me about information. Thank you for not thinking im crazy and that its all in my head. You are truly appreciated, patient, a kind soul, blessed and may you achieve all of you accomplishments and future endeavors. Full disclosure: I am a RMC employee. That said, I was triaged promptly and was taken to the back in a reasonable time. The ER got very busy after I arrived and there were folks in the ER much sicker than I was so I had to wait a little while. No problem. The lab tests and x-ray studies were done promptly and the ER doctor and nurses kept me informed along the way. About 6 hours from triage to discharge. I’m not sure how I could improve on the service I received. Well done RMC. Also: the new “app” to help keep patients and family informed is great! He helped teach me how to cook certain things I struggled with, or simply things i’ve never had to cook before since I am just an 18 year old that had just graduated high school and still lives under my parents roof. His care is so evident, and he truly made recovery possible. Ashley was an RCS. She was the most loving, funny, caring RCS. She made me feel on top of the world, supported me, laughed with me, talked with me, and always was there to help. She had so much energy and a smile on her face. The work she does at Magnolia Creek has left a permanent mark on my heart. She’s a very special person. Heath is also one of the most amazing people I have ever met. He gave us opportunities to be outdoors to walk, fish, build bird houses, or golf. He made every client feel so seen and understood. He was patient, funny, caring, genuine, and so loving. Here, clients are limited on personal freedoms like bathroom checks, no room time except at night, and supervised showers, BUT it is all with reason and for the best! The precautions and procedures this place has are all for the betterment of the clients wellbeing and recovery.
