I have recently moved to Troy fro the Tennessee Valley where all the local psychologists i saw were a joke. My dad really likes them for his depression and ocd. As for me their near universal biggotry via harsh generalized labeling is nothing more than cowardice under the excuse of being naives. Here the treatment is the opposite.

The place was great and some people were kind, but certain staff really bummed me out. It felt more like I was getting help from other patients— who were supposed to be getting help from the staff too but weren’t— rather than the people who were actually supposed to be helping like the doctors, nurses, counselors, and techs. Sometimes I felt misunderstood and got treated like a toddler— which I never acted like one either— and the work felt like going back to kindergarten instead of getting actual help. Before I came there, I’ll admit I definitely had issues but I would never get angry, just sad. Yet, when I was there and after I left, anger was the biggest thing I felt. I hated it. And not just any anger, the kind of anger where you wanna scream and punch the wall, which I’ve never wanted to do or even thought of doing before. I felt like the family sessions didn’t help much and neither did the normal sessions. Don’t get me wrong, Ms Alyssa was nice, it just wasn’t helping me. Also, whenever I’d cry I felt like I was getting punished for doing so. Like, getting extra days was a possibility if you cried because you weren’t “using coping skills”— but i feel like that just made me want to hold in everything more because I didn’t want extra days and I hated the way staff made me feel when I cried— except for one nurse. She was really nice, I just forgot her name unfortunately. She’s a night nurse. Also, Mr Kyle was a very nice person to talk to, too. I really hated nap time and whenever we’d go to sleep at night because the lights in the hallway were on and I’d always have to listen to people in the hall talking. The bed situation was rough, beds were super uncomfortable. The only time I had a comfortable bed was my last night there and it was because I finally got moved onto the girls hall instead of being on the boys hall. The shampoo made my scalp dry out and my hair started thinning again, but I started waiting days between hair wash or would just use the conditioner, which kind of worked. I am picky eater so I can’t really comment on the food, but sometimes it would be good. Also, they said there weren’t many fights there but there was an actual physical fight in my group while I was there and multiple verbal fights. There was a lot of drama, too, which was terrible. Also, since I’ve gotten out, I’ve felt so much worse than before. The thoughts got worse, not better. Very bad. Plus, my medicine makes me not feel hungry so now I’ve stopped eating as much because I genuinely don’t feel hungry, which I hate. Also, we had to do everything with markers, and they’d dry out. Some techs would be like “oh, yall always make them dry out.” When that’s literally the only thing we can use AND it’s also because they’re cheap, so what do you expect? So, overall, the place means well, but it mostly just made me worse, so, uhm, yeah. :)

Edit: things are finally getting fixed for me. It took forever but finally things are getting back on track here. //The rules that the clinic it self is now breaking is making it very hard for me to stay on track with my sobriety. Things used to be better here, but the last two years big mistakes are being made by workers and even when they tell you they will fix it and that they are sorry, they’re not. I’m only 4 days in but let me tell you though it works! I have battled fentanyl addiction for over 3 years and if you are an addict of the same caliber then you know there’s no detoxing without help off that demon! I went to this place as a last resort to impatient with no expectations since nothing else has ever worked and let me tell you I haven’t felt as “normal” if that’s a word I can use to describe it as in years even before the addiction took hold..I have energy and I am clear headed.. you have to give this a try you won’t be sorry! From the front desk, to the counselor, the nurse, the doctor I mean even the clinic director and other counselors these people care! They don’t treat you like someone who doesn’t deserve help or like it’s your own fault your where you are. Idk I guess I just am so surprised yet grateful to be free from the monkey on my back I want everyone to know they can be free to..I hope this finds and helps someone else get on the same track to living again!

This is the worst mental health facility in the world. Theyve changed my therapist twice due to them quitting and the doctors and nurses never call you during your APPOINTMENT TIME. I was called during one of my final project presentations an hour before my appointment with the doctor. I called back letting them know that I physically could not answer the phone but I was ready now (at my appointment time). The nurse told me that the doctor left for the day and that I have to answer calls on his time and the next appointment wouldnt be for months. All while I have no medication. Not to mention that the therapist seems completely disinterested in anything I have to say and asks me in every appointment if I’m “still hearing voices” when I have never said I hear voices. Its patronizing and annoying. Find somewhere else.

Mr. London got right to the issue when it came to helping my family out. The service was excellent detailed and to the point. I spent the whole 90 days there being guided through a journey of unlearning a lot of preconceived notions that were not working at all. 40 years of emotional weight was removed by the awesome staff loving me where I was while helping me remove so much junk at my own pace. Being at Alana was a great experience for me. I had a chance to learn a lot of things about recovery and the mental aspect of what drugs and alcohol does to the body as a hole. I would definitely recommend this place to others such as myself that's trying to get their lives together. Best food I’ve eaten in a while! Shout out to Miss Monica and I hate that I don’t remember the other chef but his food was also so amazing. King Dre! You are the man! All the therapists were also so amazing! Christina’s energy was incredible but scary! Haha. Just kidding. I had the best experience at ADC! If anyone at all is having substance abuse problem? You can’t go wrong at that facility! It changed me completely and I owe it all to that staff at ADC!

I have always been treated with respect and have had wonderful care at the Shepherd Center.
Everyone is very knowledgeable and listen to any concerns or questions I may have.
Having PPS it is important to me that most everyone is knowledgeable about Polio and PPS and how it can affect my life.
I love the accessibility at Shepherd and wish everyone would realize how important accessibility is to someone who uses a power chair and everyone who uses other tools for life for their disability.
I Hope and pray that one day everyone in our world will understand that accessibility is needed everywhere! Though we may have a disability we are people who love life, want to be respected and love to be independent as much as possible.

If you have someone u know and love, and they are going thru an addiction. JourneyPure Panama City Beach is the place I would want my loved one to be. Professional staff excellent techniques to teach the client of how to deal with the addiction. It has to be there choice to do so tho u can’t make anyone do anything. So until they get sick and tired of the problems then you just have to be patient. This Professional and caring staff know how to treat the patient with dignity and respect. I celebrated 2 years sober Nov 3rd. The staff are there to help if you willing to work. Facilities are clean and comfortable. They have Dr's and counselors available always.
The food is good. They just need to let guests have better access to food.

The Marietta Campus is a very safe environment. The Director Tracie and his guest service Von makes you feel comfortable. They both are caring, supportive, honest, very concerned about everyone. Im currently a client on methadone that has moved from Ca. to Ga. It was spur of the moment with no time to make arrangements. I spoke with ERIC on Healthqwests csr dept based on New Jersey. Fyi. Ive been in tech supt, customer service, Quality Assurance & M.I.S. For over 30 yrs Ive worn a headset and have been helping customers. Ive ALWAYS gone above and beyond to help, which is why I can say that ERIC assessed my dilemma for what it was and did his best to move Heaven and earth for me to get me the help i needed 2 days ago. He had an entire queue to help and he took my case as personal as was needed to help me. Moving here I have to change my Medicaid to Ga. which is NOT ez or quick. And I, having heart disease and 5 stents in my heart from 2 heart attacks. Short version of of i didn't get help and go into withdrawl the strain on my heart would no doubt KILL me. The man devoted most of his day trying to get my situation straightened out. Im detailing this because I want you to know this was the BEST service ive ever received in my 60 plus years on this planet, and it happened when my literal life was on the line. Healthqwest cant be beat if you want genuine effort with your help. The prices are competitive but you can't go wrong using them.
Ill answer any question or comment too. The medication I take is no joke. I take it for a broken back I got when I was year ended on my motorcycle at a red light. I take it for Pain mgmt.
Its a serious subject and serious things happen with it....and more without it. Id be crippled, so you can see the magnitude of my plight.

So far it has been good I recently transferred in from another clinic they were very helpful the only thing I do not like is all medicaid recipients have to video call daily to take the dose in front of a nurse or else we are not covered by medicaid for that day. Which is a medicaid thing but thats the only difference from my last clinic
