One word—AMAZING. I have been in and out of various drug treatment centers since my first overdose when I was twenty. I don’t know To get clean this time because I really wanted it, or I knew if I didn’t succeed this time, death had his hand above my neck. But God bless Amanda. She was my savior and did everything she could to help me, and I actually looked forward to seeing her after a while. Every session, she said something that was so profound to me, something I had never thought of before, or in that way, and that pertained to me. Amanda is a MIRACLE WORKER!!! I gave myself one month from by first meeting with her, and if things haven’t changed, I was going to kill myself (after a few suicide attempts, I had figured out a fool-proof plan.) Obviously, I never had to do it, and am the best place (spiritual and emotionally) I have been in a while!
Also, for anyone serious, I recommend staying a little longer than the program states.

When compared to other places this one is good. So far very decent with minor faults. For example, after we pass front desk and go to the back we then gotta back again to front desk to do various things that could have been brought up before going to the back. I noticed, has happened to many not only me. The people there have common sense unlike other places as far as my experience.

This is a amazing clinic. From the counselors to the doctor. They go out of their way to help my son. They visit him at school, they even have a team that will even visit your house and do activities with your child to help them learn coping skills, encouragement, help with self esteem issues, and they reward them aswell. I have seen my son go from having such anger every single day, to slowly coming out of his shell and communicating more, and being in better moods. They just give him someone to talk to other than me. Totally recommend this place. Wish there was something like this around when I was growing up.

My daughter attended virtual group therapy here for a few months. Nothing was ever communicated to me and in fact there were several days that there was no therapy and we had no notice. There were days where her "daily checkin" wouldn't be emailed to us until after the appointment started.
I tried to give my daughter privacy but I found out (from her) a few days before her last day that when she wasn't called on she'd read, draw, or do anything else because they didn't ensure the kids were active in group. According to her they allowed everyone to turn cameras off and mute their mics if they weren't talking.
Most of the sessions were also just watching TV shows, or listening to music.
Needless to say my insurance just paid thousands for her to just join a zoom call. She claims the only thing she got out of therapy was learning two grounding exercises in 2 months.
Worthless waist of time in my opinion. I was contacted on her discharge date to inform me that they were discharging her then asked if we had any plans to follow up with other services. I blatantly told them that I hadn't had the chance to make any plans. Then was told they would email me resources, that was last week and nothing.
They are simply here to steal your insurance money. Use your insurance wisely and go somewhere else.

I transferred around Fl quite a bit the last couple of yesrs and the panhandle area is without a doubt the most in need of quality MAT. THE ONE IN Panama city is the worst, long lines no phasing past 6 and you are treated like a criminal. Bei.g a phase 27 that was out of the question for me so I enrolled here. The people were great, the clinic was efficient clean and friendly my issues were that it was over 200 miles round trip and the biggest they stand there and watch you pee. I have shy bladder and was to the point of having to use a catheter because it was taking an hour or more to do a urine sample.
I transferred to Tallahassee clinic the drive was a little shorter but they just pat you down before a urine test so that made it way easier BUT the Tallahassee clinic has huge turnover and currently just 2 councelors, they are more interested in squeezing money than helping even at phase 27 they want you to attend 2 groups a month, 4 so called physicals a year and so on...dont get me wrong, the counselors are good and want to help but it is obvious that they have thier hands tied by corporate.
If lakeview could use cameras pat downs or anything other than the stand and stare method for tests i would transfer bsck despite the extra drive...yall PLEASE give that some thought i know I speak for others ss well...you have a really good clinic with really good people you shouldnt abuse patients and staff with this archaic practice.

The staff is friendly but they are savage in their love to try and get that $200 fine. It's okay for their staff to be ten minutes late to the telehealth but not you, when if it was at the office they'd still be sitting there, possibly having Made You wait that long. The whole appt doesn't even take 30mins. I called when the link wouldn't work - they took 10 minutes to get back to me. "Well he already marked you no show" but we don't get a prorate, apology, anything if they're late.

Great place in the 7 weeks there I never got up and regretted going to the meeting. I want people to understand something important about the program. When you complete it and leave, the medications they use as “crutches” (like SSRIs) are not designed to be permanent solutions — but they don’t really prepare you for what happens when you try to come off them.
In my case, when I finished the program, I was left with nothing but “good luck.” No tapering support, no real plan, no follow-up guidance. The withdrawal from SSRI medication was a horrific experience, and I had to seek out a separate doctor on my own afterward just to cope.
People should know going in: the program does provide structure and tools while you’re there, but the aftercare is lacking, especially around medication dependence. Be ready to advocate for yourself and find outside medical support when you leave.

I’ve been on the program for 12 years, I ve had 3 awesome counselors. I stayed with one for 9 years, without her I wouldn’t have made it. She was in recovery herself, so She understood me. It is pretty bad right now, with the employee turnover rate, and organization with the Hurricane season. But with anything there is good and bad. I am sure they will get it back together soon.People need to understand that they are highly critiqued by federal laws. But as long as you do what your supposed to, you will not have any problems.

The assessment portion was great but the "Urgent" portion is not. It took 3 days for someone to call about meds and that appointment is a month away. We still haven't found a therapist in the system that accepts Medicare. This has added to the stress.

I was there. I was in a place in my life where I could not continue on the path that I was taking. The counselors helped me work through the things within me that chained me to a way of life that was really no life at all. It was more of a way of death. That was five years ago. I am still sober. That facility helped me help myself. I am grateful. If you are reading this then you or someone you care about is in a bad place in their life. I know the feeling of crushing desperation. Go. Go and follow the program. Like you, I felt like AA was a bit culty. Trust me, man, it isn't. Once I wrapped my head around the principles of it and reconciled those principles with my personal faith in God I realized what a good thing it really is. They don't want to run you. They don't want your money. They just want to help you. I absolutely recommend it. It saved my life. It helped me make my life worth living

The Lovelady Center is awesome! I have learned to love my self again, how to love other and most importantly how to love God again. If someone rates this place anything but excellent I would take the review with a grain of salt. I see some blaming the faculty and facility on them not maintaining their sobriety. That’s the exact reason you’re not sober because you have zero accountability. Always someone else’s fault blah blah blah. Meeting after meeting after guest speakers like Simon and Mr Roy or Vinny. I see one person said they was strip searched and humiliated lol. That’s a lie you go into the bathroom when u arrive and pass your clothes and and belongings out the door to be searched as it should be. They can’t have you poisoning the whole damn operation bringing in a pile of drugs . And it’s also not in front of anyone. Once again another person blaming the establishment. Also the guys and girs cabins are prolly 400 yards from each other. lol and yes for all of you jealous spouses we did interact with the opposite sex. No big deal. We were they to focus on our sobriety not to find someone else known for making poor decisions to spend the rest of our life with. Hahahaha. Aight I’m done ranting. This place is the best around and I would recommend it to anyone that’s scared as hell to go into a program alone. They saved my life.
