Unfortunately I've had to use many different mental health providers over the course of 58 years and bridgeway center is hands down the best one I've ever experienced!. Kind, caring, compassionate and professional. I would highly recommend bridgeway to anyone needing mental health support. They treat you like a person instead of a mental illness if that makes sense to anyone!! Do yourself a favor and go see them cause you won't feel one bit of stigma. Thanks bridgeway!!

When you’re dealing with mental health challenges, having a supportive and compassionate team makes all the difference, and that’s exactly what you’ll find here. I recently went to HCA Fort Walton-Destin Hospital for some outpatient cardio exams with the Radiology Department. My experience was very positive. I was greeted warmly by registration and again when I arrived at Radiology. I did not wait long and the waiting area was calm and clean. The technician was incredible. Professional, friendly, efficient, and caring. I would do it again in a heartbeat-lol!

Came here for the first as I’m changing my VA service to here. No major complaints, but one thing they need to correct. The kind volunteer handed me a piece of paper showing me who I needed to call to get my service. Unfortunately, the phone number on the paper was no longer in service. Suggest they revive the letter. And the kicker: that person doesn’t actually handle what I was there for. Nothing major, but I feel it needs to be addressed.

This clinic truly changed my life. The program gave me tools that I still use every day — understanding boundaries, core beliefs, cognitive distortions, self-esteem, DBT skills, and healthier coping skills. During one of the darkest times in my life, this place helped me shift my perspective and start healing. I’m incredibly grateful for the staff and the people I met in the program. I’ve honestly never been surrounded by so many supportive and genuine individuals at one time. A special thank you to my therapist, Stanchele, for the guidance and care that helped me grow. Facilities like this should exist everywhere, especially for military members and communities that don’t always have access to quality mental health care. I’m thankful this hidden gem crossed my path.

This place was like HOME to me. They have the kindest and most understanding staff. They offer one on ones and really give you the time and opportunity to reflect on everything your going through. They keep it light hearted and fun when rough conversations were had the day before. They do daily check in and really form genuine and professional connections with their patients. I was able to call back months later to have the staff remember me and list little details I had shared with them. I miss this place and loved that I had the opportunity to go there. Would highly recommend to all those looking:)

Amazing People... They changed my life. I've been to dozens of therapists/psychs/counselors/etc...but Tracie is the best in the nation. I wouldn't trade my experience for anything. Doc M is outstanding. She really takes the time to understand your needs and is solution focused. If you need help, please reach out. There is hope. You are loved, you are worth it, and others care for you, whether you believe it or not. You are not alone. It doesn't have to be here... but I am eternally grateful for the care I received at ECBH. If you have someone u know and love, and they are going thru an addiction. JourneyPure Panama City Beach is the place I would want my loved one to be. Professional staff excellent techniques to teach the client of how to deal with the addiction. It has to be there choice to do so tho u can’t make anyone do anything. So until they get sick and tired of the problems then you just have to be patient. This Professional and caring staff know how to treat the patient with dignity and respect. They really got to the core issue in my life that caused me pain and taught me ways to manage and cope with the anger and hurt i had. This place really changed me for the better. I don’t know why the VA gets such bad reviews. I’ve met the nicest people in Alpha, Bravo, Kilo, Pharmacy and Labs… if anything I’ve witness so much verbal abuse coming from patients to the staff. Rated young, maybe I just haven’t become that bored and grouchy yet. I’m very pleased with each department and all my doctors.

I went there in 2020 for a few weeks. it was a really good program, I was not ready for help though. If you are not ready to get help, it rarely ever works. So I came up with every excuse why I should leave. But the staff, counselors, food and everything else I highly recommend.

Since the center is under new ownership I can definitely see a big improvement. The facility was clean and it smelled fresh. The CNA’s were professional and very tentative. When I advised the CNA my sister needed assistance, CNA Cheyenne Armstrong said she would locate her CNA. Two minutes later Ms Armstrong came to room said she couldn’t locate the CNA assigned to my sister so she would take care of my sister’s needs. Ms Armstrong was polite and very professional. The second CNA was Cheyenne Carroll she was the night CNA assigned to my sister. She was attentive and made sure my sister was comfortable. I pray the facility continues to make improvements and maintain the cleanness and quality I saw that day. Also kudos to Mr. Tim, for taking the time to meet with me and answer all my questions. Nice improvement team keep up the good work!

The staff here is really friendly! I especially appreciate the activities guy, who always brings a positive energy. The nurses are wonderful, and the therapy team is fantastic. Plus, the food is served hot, and the rooms are nice and spacious. Overall, the customer service here is excellent! customer service

When compared to other places this one is good. So far very decent with minor faults. For example, after we pass front desk and go to the back we then gotta back again to front desk to do various things that could have been brought up before going to the back. I noticed, has happened to many not only me. The people there have common sense unlike other places as far as my experience.

I Have to say thank you to the behavior techs and supervisors who put in the work to keep me and others safe. The problems I've had here include many things breaking, uncleanliness (a staff forced me and another client to clean a day room that had not been cleaned in what looked like months if not a year.), staff using point sheets as a weapon to make kids scared, some of the staff are just downright petty. I can't say I wasn't helped, The clinical director (Scott Smales) Was so so helpful and helped sort a lot of problems. Behavior tech just don't care a lot along with some supervisors. Thank you to the ones who did do the work they were supposed to and thank you to the interns and my therapist for making my stay somewhat less scary.

One word—AMAZING. I have been in and out of various drug treatment centers since my first overdose when I was twenty. I don’t know To get clean this time because I really wanted it, or I knew if I didn’t succeed this time, death had his hand above my neck. But God bless Amanda. She was my savior and did everything she could to help me, and I actually looked forward to seeing her after a while. Every session, she said something that was so profound to me, something I had never thought of before, or in that way, and that pertained to me. Amanda is a MIRACLE WORKER!!! I gave myself one month from by first meeting with her, and if things haven’t changed, I was going to kill myself (after a few suicide attempts, I had figured out a fool-proof plan.) Obviously, I never had to do it, and am the best place (spiritual and emotionally) I have been in a while! Also, for anyone serious, I recommend staying a little longer than the program states. The Avalon Center staff have been an immense help in navigating my road to better mental health. I was diagnosed with bipolar I disorder last year and these folks have done everything they can to give me the best care possible. I was without insurance for months and they were able to help me apply for patient assistance so that I could get my necessary monthly injection that was prohibitively expensive without insurance. My provider and case manager are both amazing. The staff up front as well. I couldn't be happier with my choice to go with the Avalon Center during this difficult time in my life.
