I did not think i had a problem and did not want to be here. I needed to be at 12 Oaks. They really got to the core issue in my life that caused me pain and taught me ways to manage and cope with the anger and hurt i had. This place really changed me for the better. Great staff, quick and friendly once you are enrolled. Life saving program. Only thing I could complain about is the waiting list upon applying. If you need to get in here don't wait! I don’t know why the VA gets such bad reviews. I’ve met the nicest people in Alpha, Bravo, Kilo, Pharmacy and Labs… if anything I’ve witness so much verbal abuse coming from patients to the staff. Rated young, maybe I just haven’t become that bored and grouchy yet. I’m very pleased with each department and all my doctors.

This place saved my life! My counselor is BreezeAnn and she has been my anchor. I actually look forward to talking to her in my counseling sessions! I feel really blessed to have her. I went through 3 counselors over a 12 month period. They kept quitting. Then when I lucked out and got BreezeAnn I saw how beneficial it is to have someone who listens with an unbiased ear and offers realistic explanations and advice. I recently went to HCA Fort Walton-Destin Hospital for some outpatient cardio exams with the Radiology Department. My experience was very positive. I was greeted warmly by registration and again when I arrived at Radiology. I did not wait long and the waiting area was calm and clean. The technician was incredible. Professional, friendly, efficient, and caring. I would do it again in a heartbeat-lol!

I went there in 2020 for a few weeks. it was a really good program, I was not ready for help though. If you are not ready to get help, it rarely ever works. So I came up with every excuse why I should leave. But the staff, counselors, food and everything else I highly recommend.

When compared to other places this one is good. So far very decent with minor faults. For example, after we pass front desk and go to the back we then gotta back again to front desk to do various things that could have been brought up before going to the back. I noticed, has happened to many not only me. The people there have common sense unlike other places as far as my experience.

I Have to say thank you to the behavior techs and supervisors who put in the work to keep me and others safe. The problems I've had here include many things breaking, uncleanliness (a staff forced me and another client to clean a day room that had not been cleaned in what looked like months if not a year.), staff using point sheets as a weapon to make kids scared, some of the staff are just downright petty. I can't say I wasn't helped, The clinical director (Scott Smales) Was so so helpful and helped sort a lot of problems. Behavior tech just don't care a lot along with some supervisors. Thank you to the ones who did do the work they were supposed to and thank you to the interns and my therapist for making my stay somewhat less scary.

Came here for the first as I’m changing my VA service to here. No major complaints, but one thing they need to correct. The kind volunteer handed me a piece of paper showing me who I needed to call to get my service. Unfortunately, the phone number on the paper was no longer in service. Suggest they revive the letter. And the kicker: that person doesn’t actually handle what I was there for. Nothing major, but I feel it needs to be addressed.

Coming here was lowkey terrifying at first, but wow it flipped my whole mindset. The structure?? So real. I needed that. People actually cared, and the focus on owning your choices hit hard. I do wish there were more folks my age, 'cause being the youngest kinda sucked sometimes. Still, it legit helped me find myself again and made me believe I could survive college without the chaos.

This clinic truly changed my life. This place was like HOME to me. They have the kindest and most understanding staff. They offer one on ones and really give you the time and opportunity to reflect on everything your going through. They keep it light hearted and fun when rough conversations were had the day before. They do daily check in and really form genuine and professional connections with their patients. I was able to call back months later to have the staff remember me and list little details I had shared with them. I miss this place and loved that I had the opportunity to go there. Would highly recommend to all those looking:)

Doc M is outstanding. She really takes the time to understand your needs and is solution focused. If you need help, please reach out. There is hope. You are loved, you are worth it, and others care for you, whether you believe it or not. You are not alone. It doesn't have to be here... but I am eternally grateful for the care I received at ECBH. The Avalon Center staff have been an immense help in navigating my road to better mental health. I was diagnosed with bipolar I disorder last year and these folks have done everything they can to give me the best care possible. I was without insurance for months and they were able to help me apply for patient assistance so that I could get my necessary monthly injection that was prohibitively expensive without insurance. My provider and case manager are both amazing. The staff up front as well. I couldn't be happier with my choice to go with the Avalon Center during this difficult time in my life.
