I am Tony, I graduated 08/29/25 and have nothing but respect , love, and gratitude for this place the staff is amazing. You get 3 square meals every day with requests for whatever you want. Not to mention that it’s on a beach!!! Yes you have classes daily but the experience overall overshadows that. Last but not least it’s smoker’s friendly and dog friendly give Twelve Oaks a chance for your sobriety whether it’s Mental Illness or Drug Addiction I had both and they helped me.

I have been a patient for several months, and let me tell you how wonderful the whole staff is. The receptionist, is so kind, she’s truly amazing. Doctor Amanda Liles is such a wonderful person. She’s so amazing. I’m lucky to have her. I’m lucky to have both my doctors. I reiterate, Dr. Amanda Liles, and the staff at Lakeview are amazing people. I have nothing but positive feedback for this treatment center because that's exactly what this is. It treats not only the addiction but the mind as well. My counselor, Kris, has helped me just within a year and a half to completely shift my way of thinking and get to the root of my issues. I would encourage anyone needing help with opiate addiction to let this team of wonderful people help change their life as well.

I Have to say thank you to the behavior techs and supervisors who put in the work to keep me and others safe. The problems I've had here include many things breaking, uncleanliness (a staff forced me and another client to clean a day room that had not been cleaned in what looked like months if not a year.), staff using point sheets as a weapon to make kids scared, some of the staff are just downright petty. I can't say I wasn't helped, The clinical director (Scott Smales) Was so so helpful and helped sort a lot of problems. Behavior tech just don't care a lot along with some supervisors. Thank you to the ones who did do the work they were supposed to and thank you to the interns and my therapist for making my stay somewhat less scary.

They change therapist right and left because they cant keep one. Almost every time I go in it someone new. It's totally a waste of time talking to their therapist because you have to start over constantly. If I didn't have to see the therapist to be able to see my doctor I wouldn't go see the therapist at all.

So I was transferred to numerous therapists over the course of my treatment. Every time I got comfortable with one, they would leave or their case load was too big. The last therapist they gave me called for no more than 5 minutes and that was it. I decided to quit going to therapy because why pay for something I no longer need with medication working. They hate when you stop going. They are therapy based and not medication based. When running out of refills of prozac, apparently not taking to a therapist 5 minutes a month means I don't get refills. The only way to get back on my medication is to reenter therapy, get another diagnosis and then get on medication if appropriate. Now I have to quit cold turkey and am worse off than before starting "treatment". Avoid at all costs.

The Avalon Center staff have been an immense help in navigating my road to better mental health. I was diagnosed with bipolar I disorder last year and these folks have done everything they can to give me the best care possible. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Exceptional Service from Tina Carter Pearl – A True Asset to Bridgeway Center I rarely write reviews, but the extraordinary assistance I received from Tina Carter Pearl at the Bridgeway Center in Fort Walton Beach, Florida deserves the highest praise imaginable. Tina is, without question, one of the most dedicated and tenacious professionals I’ve encountered in my 30 years as a retired US Navy Command Master Chief. Faced with the notoriously difficult task of obtaining documentation from the Veterans Administration—specifically from the James A. Haley Mental Health Center in Temple Terrace—Tina tackled the challenge with the determination of a bulldog. She never lost focus, never gave up, and never left me in the dark. Her persistence in contacting the VA, coordinating with Amy there, and ensuring my course was properly recorded not just at Bridgeway but at the state level was nothing short of heroic. Tina kept me informed every step of the way, demonstrating a level of care, professionalism, and follow-through that is increasingly rare in today’s workforce. Her “can-do” attitude and relentless pursuit of resolution made me feel supported, respected, and genuinely cared for. If I were still building teams in the Navy, I’d recruit her in a heartbeat. She is an absolute asset to your organization, and I hope her efforts are recognized not just with gratitude—but with a well-deserved raise. Employees like Tina don’t just represent your company—they elevate it. Thank you, Tina, for going above and beyond. You made a difficult process manageable, and you did it with grace, grit, and excellence. Best Regards, Johnny Robinette

I’ve been on the program for 12 years, I ve had 3 awesome counselors. I stayed with one for 9 years, without her I wouldn’t have made it. She was in recovery herself, so She understood me. It is pretty bad right now, with the employee turnover rate, and organization with the Hurricane season. But with anything there is good and bad. Completed IOP and I cannot thank the staff enough for their help. I was assigned to Zach’s group where we focused on PTSD and surrounding symptoms. I was reluctant at first to be in a group setting, but found it was a very supportive method to learning not only about your own problems, but the similarity of others problems and finding ways to manage them. Zach was am amazing therapist who was extremely insightful in what people were suffering from. The program, along with therapy, also covered medication management. The design of the care I received gave me the ability to understand what was going on with me and how to learn how to manage it. This was not the first place I want to in Panama City. But it’s the only one I would suggest.

This is a really good place if you are serious about wanting to recover. There is a lot of freedom In this program seeings you can leave everyday to work so I would say that this is not the best choice of program if you are coming straight off of the drugs you should pry go to a higher level of care first then here. When your on campus it is pretty structured not a lot of free time they definitely don’t just want your money as others have said they Hardily take anything that compare to the services and food and shelter they provide speaking of witch there is an amazing cook there Mike he prepares all the food which is of 5 star quality a lot of variety and always good. Staff really cares for you here they want to see you succeed really it all depends on what attitude you bring to the table that determines how sussceful and good your stay here will be. Thank you to all the staff for everything y’all do.

About 2 years ago the clinic I was attending was shutting down. So I decided to transfer to BHG Grand Bay facility. I was very concerned about if I would remain at my current level within the program because I've never transferred before. This facility was amazing and making it swift and easy, and told me I would not have to start over and could continue with where I left off at the previous clinic. I was worried about coming here due to the mixed reviews I have read and heard about this place, but am glad I came here instead of the other options. I live an hour away, and staff is very understanding and hears me out when needed. They try and make sure everyone is treated equally and in and out as quick as possible. Hiccups do happen, but all in all it's a great place, and new positive changes are happening. Carly the new Director is awesome, and very involved to ensure everyone is heard and knows she/they care. The nurses and pharmacist are great and Ingrid the front desk receptionist is on point. I can't speak for everyone, but as for me, my experience has been great, the staff treats me with respect and listens to any concerns, very laid back, but not to be mistaken that they are about their business and following the rules. As long as you do your part, they will do theirs to help. I would Definitely recommend this place if you are looking to start your recovery journey. Big thanks and shout out to all the Staff at BHG Grand Bay, thanks for your dedication and all that you do to help make my life better!

One word—AMAZING. I have been in and out of various drug treatment centers since my first overdose when I was twenty. I don’t know To get clean this time because I really wanted it, or I knew if I didn’t succeed this time, death had his hand above my neck. But God bless Amanda. She was my savior and did everything she could to help me, and I actually looked forward to seeing her after a while. Every session, she said something that was so profound to me, something I had never thought of before, or in that way, and that pertained to me. Amanda is a MIRACLE WORKER!!! I gave myself one month from by first meeting with her, and if things haven’t changed, I was going to kill myself (after a few suicide attempts, I had figured out a fool-proof plan.) Obviously, I never had to do it, and am the best place (spiritual and emotionally) I have been in a while! Also, for anyone serious, I recommend staying a little longer than the program states. Thank you again, Amanda!!! C.W.
