When I first walked through the doors of Sophros, I was at one of the lowest points in my life. That rock bottom everyone talks about. I had been to my fair share of rehabs and treatment programs and somehow could not seem to get sobriety to stick. I was hopeless, alone, and scared. But this place changed that, and set my life on a new trajectory I didn’t think was possible. This place is truly one of a kind. I hit the jackpot when I was assigned Shannon as my therapist. You’ll see her mentioned a lot in these reviews, and for very good reason. To bluntly put it, she saved my life. And I’m not being dramatic when I say that. Her wit, compassion, and dedication is one of the main reasons I’ve made it this far. She taught me to not complicate the uncomplicated, to stop trying to outsmart my disease, and get out of my own way. Simple truths, that seemed impossible to grasp. The entire team at Sophros is made up of some of the most caring humans I’ve been blessed to encounter. They didn’t give up on me, especially when I felt like giving up on myself. Shannon, Veronica, Rajon, Laura, Luna, Drew, and everyone else, make this a truly wonderful healing place. I’ve been through PHP, IOP, and hope to continue on with OP when that time comes. Outstanding program! Everyone is very welcoming and supportive. I was fortunate enough to stay in the new housing for the duration of PHP. It’s a good balance of freedom and accountability. As compared to being locked down like other PHPs I had considered. Sophros provided a number of different approaches in sessions to help keep everyone engaged. And my therapist Shannon was top notch. Definitely would recommend.

I have gone to many, many treatment centers in an attempt to adress my alcoholism. Countless. The staff at Sophros is unlike anything Iv'e encountered. They are not just a business, and we are.not just numbers. The individualized attention and care for our wellbeing is by far unmatched. I have the pleasure of having Shannon as my therapist, connecting dots and helping me see things that no other therapist has been able to do. Rayshawn, the senior therapist provides ART, a therapy I knew nothing about but honestly has changed my life in a big way. Tim, in charge of housing here, goes above and beyond for us everyday helping us set.ourselves up for success. Even the techs are amazing, Cam, Jaime and Tyler are always there to help. Top notch doesn't do it justice. I only wish I found them sooner.

My aunt has been a patient here for almost 2 weeks. She has been provided excellent care here by the entire clinical, rehab and administrative team. The nurses and CNA's have provided the care and compassion well above our familiy's expectation. We are shocked at how much she has thrived at this facility. Laura, my therapist was awesome. She was very patient with me, I asked so many questions. She helped me to understand my problems and gave me tools for the future. She prepared me for a successful recovery. I've never tried yoga before but I took those classes and I learned how to stretch. I have a handicap with my hip and it really helped me with my pain and flexibility. I highly recommend coalition.

White Sands is by far the best rehab I have ever been too! The place is really nice and clean! This is a really good place to get sober . The staff here is caring and very professional. Before , they couldn’t do anything their entire life revolved around opioid, and now they are back to being like what I remember from years ago. The staff was really nice and kind, and supportive. I'm just curious does this work well for opiates like methadone because I am reading about people who were on buprenorphine but methadone has a very long and unpredictable half life and have you had successful patients who were on high doses of methadone and still not have ridiculous cravings post procedure?

I used the ANR Clinic to get off of Opiates that I had been taking for close to 10 years due to a back injury which led to 3 back surgeries. I was really skeptical about the procedure and believing that I would have no cravings afterwards, I did a lot of research and found someone on Facebook that had gone through the procedure and they reaffirmed everything that the ANR Clinic stated. From the first phone call to my intake at the Hospital as well as my aftercare I was treated with care and compassion by each and every member of the ANR Clinic. I had my procedure done on March 24th 2026 and it was the best decision I have ever made, I have never experienced any cravings and each and every day I am feeling one step closer to the man I was before ever taking opiates. I cannot recommend the ANR Clinic enough, if you are struggling like I was take the first step and call them, they will help and guide you every step of the way.

I recently completed 30 days of residential treatment at Riverside Recovery and am now continuing my recovery through their PHP program in New Port Richey. Going into treatment, I was admittedly hesitant. With my background in psychology, coaching, yoga teacher training, and personal experience with mental health and recovery, part of me believed I should be able to figure this out on my own. I wondered what treatment could offer me that I hadn’t already learned. Riverside quickly challenged that assumption. From the moment I arrived, I was put at ease by how genuinely pleasant and compassionate the staff were. The facility itself also helped tremendously. Rather than feeling institutional or clinical, Riverside has much more of a hotel-like atmosphere. When you’re already feeling vulnerable and uncertain about treatment, being in an environment that feels comfortable, peaceful, and human makes a real difference. The program is very AA-centered and spiritually focused. While I came in with some reservations about that approach, the emphasis on spirituality, accountability, community, and surrender gave me space to approach recovery from a perspective beyond simply understanding my behavior intellectually. For someone like me, that distinction mattered. I didn’t necessarily need more information… I needed to practice what I already knew with other likeminded/similarly experienced persons in a structured environment. My therapist, Bre, made a particularly significant impact on me. She is wonderfully no-nonsense and tells you what you need to hear, but always with genuine care. I pushed back more than once, and she didn’t let me intellectualize, rationalize, or talk my way around the work. She challenged me when I needed it, and I respect her tremendously for that. I also want to recognize Lane (BHT) and Shannon, the Client Relations Manager. Both are in recovery themselves, and there was something deeply meaningful about being supported by people who are on the other side of active addiction and alcoholism. Their presence carried a quiet symbolism of hope… a reminder that recovery is lived and possible. Maryann, one of the hospitality aides, also deserves special mention. She always seemed to have a smile on her face and treated me with consistent kindness and warmth. We joked around often, and those small moments meant more than she probably realized. In a setting where it’s easy to feel defined by your circumstances, she helped me feel human again… not a diagnosis, not a patient, and not a problem to be fixed. I’m now one week into PHP, and I’m enjoying getting to know Brent, Sara, and Anthony. The structure is helping me rebuild the basics of daily living and responsibility, and I can already feel how these building blocks are preparing me to move forward more productively after treatment. Ultimately, Riverside gave me something I didn’t realize I needed, an opportunity to stop trying to do everything myself and allow myself to be supported. Recovery isn’t something that can be completed in 30 days, but Riverside gave me a foundation, challenged my assumptions, and helped me reconnect with parts of myself that had gotten buried. I’m grateful for my new sober community and the people who showed for me during those 30 days and grateful to continue the work through PHP. If you’re considering Riverside, my advice is to arrive with an open mind… even if you’re convinced you already know what you need. Sometimes the most important part of recovery is realizing that knowing isn’t the same thing as doing, and that accepting help isn’t a weakness. For me, it was the beginning of learning the difference.

If you apply yourself there you can really retain a lot. There's a bunch of amazing counselors that run groups that you can get a lot out of. An also a great amount of extra circular activities. "On or around the 5th of August" 2026, Emergency Room Doctor Oviedo Gina, Joanne, went far and above the call of duty." I am a 100% Disabled Veteran. I requested more medication from Dr Oviedo, in the emergency room. She said other Veteran Hospitals had given me a 90 day supply. I told the doctor that I had been traveling for two months and that my medication probably arrived at my home address, but I did not receive it." DR. Oviedo left the room. It was a great facility, the team is awesome with both techs and nurses doing a phenomenal job. Snack time three times a day with everyone’s pick of a movie , or you can sometimes hang outside with like individuals and play games and chat in the sun. They had yoga mats , basketball balls and footballs for activity time as well. The meals served during mess time were always great considering. Seriously such good food being made. Often you’d get desserts too , and maybe coffee with breakfast. I was gravely mistaken to ever judge the facility and their staff. Very thankful for the team and their work.

My first visit to this VA clinic. Some things don’t change. VA nurses/Techs need access to my medical history not just doctors. Be ready to answer tons of questions for both primary care and mental health. Why not have both in the room for patients who get care at both???? Similar questions. You need an appointment for Labs???? Good thing no one waiting because it was empty in the AM and PM. Patients need easy access for ancillary services! Lab team was amazing! Overall long visit.

I love getting my services here! The concierge Renee physically walked me to my destination. Sheila was able to get my info over to my primary. Dr Parsamehr and her nurse Mia took care of me and got me over to Jay. Jay was able to communicate with Nelson who fit me into a tight schedule and he and Adianez got me all set. I was reluctant to attend outpatient rehab as I was required to by the DOH/PRN. Forrest was a very patient and reasonable individual who truly cares about what he does and the people he treats. So despite my reluctance and resentment, I learnt a great deal of wisdom from him and for that I am grateful. If you find yourself in a similar position or are voluntarily seeking help/treatment, I would recommend him and this facility.

I recently completed my IOP requirement with resurgence Tampa Bay and want to express my deepest thanks to Forrest, who is not only an empathetic, caring therapist, but also genuine. I have to admit that I wasn’t thrilled about meeting three times a week with people I didn’t know, but honestly felt a camaraderie and sense of understanding during the group sessions. The sessions are interesting, educational and gave me freedom to discus my feelings and fears. I would definitely recommend resurgence Tampa Bay to anyone who is looking for a great IOP experience.

I wanted to share my personal experience with New Beginnings of Tampa — especially with Miss Ginny, who truly helped me during one of the hardest chapters of my life. I’ve taken a few days to reflect on how to write this review in a way that’s fair and honest. My story began when my father became terminally ill overseas. As a medical assistant and certified phlebotomist working at Tampa General Hospital/USFTGP, I made the difficult decision to resign from my job and return home to care for him during his final months. It was one of the most emotional and challenging periods of my life. I gave up my job, apartment, car, and even had to rehome my beloved dog, Peanut. After my father passed away, I was devastated but determined to return to the U.S. and rebuild my life from scratch. Coming back was far from easy. I had no housing, no car, and no income proof while waiting to start my new position at the hospital. Many housing programs required pay stubs, and shelters were full or unresponsive. That’s when I found New Beginnings of Tampa and spoke with Miss Ginny, who kindly offered me a shared room for $750 a month, including utilities and Wi-Fi. From the moment I met her, Miss Ginny’s warmth stood out — she reminded me of Dolly Parton: gracious, caring, and full of heart. She clearly explained the house rules, including curfew hours (9 PM–5 AM) and program expectations. At first, I misunderstood the structure and thought it was simply shared housing, so I accidentally broke curfew once due to a work-related reason. When I was told I could face eviction, I was terrified. But after explaining my situation and providing proof from my job, Miss Ginny gave me a second chance — something I’ll always be grateful for. During my stay, I worked 12-hour shifts, saved money, bought a car, and eventually moved into my own apartment. The program gave me stability, shelter, and structure when I needed it most. I also appreciated the safe environment — it’s a no-drug, no-alcohol facility with regular testing, which helps maintain peace in the home. Each resident has a fridge shelf, laundry access, and a full kitchen to cook meals. There’s a nice backyard patio where residents can relax, socialize, and enjoy visits from local wildlife — including peacocks, raccoons, and a friendly outdoor cat named Max. One important note is that attending church services three times a week is mandatory unless you’re working. Coming from a different faith background, I was initially hesitant, but I found the church community welcoming and respectful. Still, I’d like to kindly suggest that the program consider making church attendance required only once a week — this would give residents more flexibility to rest, work, or focus on personal goals. I also believe that asking residents, many of whom are financially struggling, to donate during services could be reconsidered with compassion, as every dollar counts for people trying to rebuild their lives. As for the housing itself, I do think there’s room for improvement. The property could use some maintenance and better organization, as space is very limited and shared bathrooms can get crowded. It’s also important for residents to keep their belongings secured, as items can occasionally go missing. Considering these conditions, lowering the rent slightly would make the program more accessible and fair. Despite these challenges, I’m deeply thankful for Miss Ginny and New Beginnings of Tampa. One of the first people I came in contact with was Josh and I'll never forget just one small acts of kindness by giving me his vape out of his pocket small but meaningful to me because I had very little and it was unusual to me to have a man be nice to me. Sober Lyfe amazes me. It has been such an integral part of my recovery. It gave me a safe place to land after completing a residential treatment at another place. I knew a lot of the guys that were at the house I went to for Sober Lyfe. Which allowed me to feel comfortable and welcomed. Rob our house manager has been a blessing. Such a solid guy that cares about you and your recovery. A natural leader that I am proud to also call my friend. Shout out to James. This place Truly cares, the staff members put their heart mind and souls into this thing called Recovery.. with the goal to fix the heart mind and soul of the suffering addict/alcoholic that comes to SoberLyfe. Just like anything in Life, or programs of Recovery, you get out what you put into it. However, here all you have to do is be Honest, Open, and Willing to participate in this program. Take suggestions, pay attention, and do some work to repair the damage of the past.. and you will reap a New Life from this place and the efforts of this program. I'd be lying if I said a higher power or God didn't help me through this early recovery, it's God that helps me EVERYDAY and morning when I Rise and Rejoice 🌄🙌 You will find God in the staff that works here. Shout out to every staff Member in this program, if I name one, I'll have to name them all. The level of spiritual awareness these people have is mind blowing. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ What an awesome experience! This was my first visit to CAN Community Health in Ybor, and I was honestly blown away by how easy the entire process was. I arrived a little early, and Gina and Melinda at the front desk immediately made me feel welcome. They were so kind, friendly, and efficient that checking in was a breeze. I don’t think I even had time to get comfortable in the waiting room before I was called back! From check-in to testing, everything was incredibly organized, and I was in and out in what felt like no time. The testing itself took less than 10 minutes, and the staff made the whole experience comfortable, professional, and completely judgment-free. If you’ve been putting off getting tested because you’re nervous or don’t know what to expect, this is the place to go. They made something that can feel intimidating so quick and stress-free. Huge thanks to the whole team—I’ll absolutely be recommending CAN Community Health to everyone others!

I reached out to the crisis center (211) one day when I realized I had been consistently, emotionally and mentally overwhelmed, physically sick, and felt powerless to change anything for too long. I was up against too many life changing personal and professional challenges at the same time. One of the referral resources provided was The Centre for Women. Stephanie has been my therapist since September 2019. Prior, to COVID, when meetings were held in the office, Stephanie consistently provided a safe, comfortable atmosphere that encouraged vulnerability. Since March 2020, our meetings have been held by phone (which she helped easily transition to). Stephanie is a skilled and compassionate listener. Her responses to my concerns are considerate & thought provoking. She offers valuable coping strategies and grounding techniques for the deeply feeling and/ or anxious soul. She has taken the time to understand my values, language, and perspective and considers them when sharing feedback and resources. Stephanie has consistently encouraged and gently guided me to fully realize, embrace, and practice my personal values in my decision making more consistently. In September 2019, I entered Stephanie's care as a scared, overwhelmed, hurt, and broken down individual. Since that time, she continues to empower and equip me to recognize and exercise the practical habits behind my spiritual truths; she also remains a soft space to land when I return to old ways or self- sabotaging habits. I appreciate the ways she supports my mental and emotional well being. She is skilled at reaching the root or heart of the issue, not simply just addressing the symptoms. She may not be able to provide the solution, but she definitely provides a sense of peace in the midst of often difficult processes/ circumstances faced. I would highly recommend therapy with Stephanie at the Centre for Women. I believe it's also important to state that, while I am a minority woman and Stephanie does not share that personal experience, she remained a solid place to share even the anxieties and concerns she could not personally relate to through the many different challenging situations my family faced in recent months. I am so grateful for the growth I am experiencing with consistent therapy!
