Like all organizations, they sound great but don't expect much. The lady in the office was nice, informed me to email the mentor ahead of time of what I wanted to tackle since I was allowed five free one hour sessions. I am a prompt person, my time is valuable, and I am respectful of another's time as well. So, I emailed the mentor ahead of time of the specifics I first needed help with to save time on her end; one of the things was asking help to walk me through applying for an LLC and other tax stuff since I've never done this before. The mentor and I booked a Google meet appointment. The day of the appointment the mentor said she would call me and she did. I would've preferred to meet via google meet since I wanted to screen share and review things. Instead she was distracted with driving around for the hour. She wasn't fully present and this rubbed me the wrong way but I brushed it off since I enjoyed the conversation. We really didn't cover the specifics of what I wanted to work on and just talked about the book I wanted to publish. She kept telling me to form an LLC "is easy" yet I've never done it so it wasn't easy in my opinion. At the end of the session she said she'd send an email later that day and I knew it wouldn't happen since she was distracted with driving. Distracted people don't retain much information once a meeting has ended. She also said she'd send me networking contacts since I am struggling with networking. I was right, I didn't get the email as she stated but did get an email a week later. The email seemed like a generic "Recap" that gets emailed to everyone and the details were stuff that I had told her I've already done before meeting with her. The mentor said I could email her in between sessions yet the only response I got was "let's review this next meeting". So I booked another meeting 3 weeks later and she sent me another google meet link. 10 minutes before our second session I had sent her an email of the updated spreadsheet I wanted to review in session. I am waiting in the google meeting room when she sends me an email that she will call in 10 minutes. Which annoyed me since I didn't want a phone call, she was late without telling me ahead of time, and I really didn't want to hear her driving around again. 10 minutes came and went and so did another 10 minutes without her calling me. I sent her an email 20 minutes past our meeting start time and no response for another 20 minutes. She responded nearly 45 minutes after our appointment start time saying she was busy. We had this appointment scheduled for nearly 3 weeks and she was busy. She offered a time to meet the next day but I had work which I informed her. Since I was annoyed with this, I emailed the office and asked for a new mentor since my mentor can't be prompt or present. I didn't hear a response from the office but did receive another email from the mentor offering me a Saturday morning appointment. UPDATE - I did get scheduled with another mentor yet I immediately was not a fan. I don't think these mentors work for the centre directly and the centre pays them to provide free services. Yet the centre needs to reevaluate. The mentor's internet was spotty, she accused me of lying about the other mentor ghosting me yet my emails prove that I was right, and then the mentor was like "let's start over". She spoke for a few minutes about her life which she contradicted herself a lot. The she told me she doesn't check her emails and will only respond if she feels like it. Which makes me believe she didn't even read my email prior to me meeting with her. She asked if I had questions and the first 2 I asked, she just told me to use Chat GBT. Then she went on to say how she uses chat GBT for everything. This meeting was a waste of my time and could've been over after 10 minutes. She kept pestering me for more questions yet what was the point since her only answer was to use chat gbt? I haven't wasted my time since considering it seems these mentors don't help or have any idea on anything.

Dorothy answered the phone and said they do not help anyone except if you own a house and need repairs or need an upcoming workshop that charges over $500. Sounds like they need help. Thanks but no thanks!

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Florida provides quality treatment to help individuals overcome dependency related to a wide range of addictive substances. Programs address both the physical and mental aspects of addiction in order to help you make a full recovery.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.
