Achieving Healing Through Holistic Care

The facility believes in focusing on your overall health in order to help you overcome addiction. You’ll receive whole food meals prepared by an award winning chef and healthy snacks.

Veteran clients will undergo detox before receiving residential treatment care for 30 days. You’ll learn alternative ways to cope with your stress such as self care activities and healthy hobbies.

Outpatient Services Through Telehealth

The facility offers the option of having outpatient services through telehealth for your convenience. You’ll meet with a master’s level mental health counselor just as you would in person, except through video chat. Receiving treatment in this way allows you to spend less time driving to this facility and more time focusing on your healing.

The facility is conveniently close to various outdoor areas including Naval Live Oaks Nature Preserve and Oriole Beach and Park West. You can spend time after one of your treatment sessions relaxing in the sand or going for a hike.

We sought help here for my wife. They took TriCare. They start out o.k., nice facility, but it quickly turns south. The business was recently sold, and they are still working out quirks, but it's evident, the "investors" who bought the business really don't care about "recovery", but about profit. It's a mandatory 60 day program, not including detox, and they hide that from you upon 1st entering. All they care about is meeting insurance requirements for treatment even at the expense of the patients health. The medical doctor and his staff are really awesome, however, the counseling and treatment team are off their rocker! They have the sympathy of a flea! They are so focused on the addiction, they miss critical information and simply are not equipped to deal with patients with multiple health issues.

Although this place means well and helps some, it really boils down to money and them brainwashing you into believing their BS. 1st off, they do not tell you it is a required 60 day program when you sign the documents when drugged out in detox. They then encourage you to stay longer. They focus so much on what caused your addiction, and have no concern about your health issues, just making sure you meet the required hours to please insurance. Although its a nice property with a pool and sauna, not to mention private rooms, you are treated like a prisoner. Candy wrapper in your room, STRIKE, and you are punished and not allowed to go on and outing. Its honestly just not a healing place, when you need that most. Having tried them a few times, I had no luck and saw a relapse rate that was off the charts!!! They have you come back for 30 more days! I am being 100% honest, this road of recovery is hard and I am in it, but this place doesn't really care about you. They care about making money and proving they are right, and their not.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient rehabs encompass multiple levels of care to facilitate clients' progress through their recovery journey. Clients who are stepping down from inpatient treatment may require intensive outpatient (IOP) treatment, which involves more frequent and substantive therapeutic interventions than does standard outpatient care. Outpatient centers typically provide extensive addiction counseling, including individual, group, and family therapy. Medication assisted treatment programs (MAT) and recovery-focused life skills training are also common in outpatient care.

inpatient iconInpatient

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

12-step icon12-Step

12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).

partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program

Often referred to as "day treatment," a partial hospitalization program (PHP) offers an intensive treatment option that allows individuals to return home at night. PHP treatment typically requires a minimum of 20 hours a week for an average of 90 days. Participants attend daily therapeutic sessions, receive medication management, and have access to skilled medical professionals. While costs can vary, most insurance will fully or partially cover a partial hospitalization program.

24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care

24-hour clinical care in Florida is an essential part of treatment, particularly with medical detox. Withdrawal symptoms can be severe, and supervised detox provides around the clock access to medical professionals who can adminsiter proper medications and treatment to address these symptoms and step in should an emergency occur. This intensive clinical care will help curb the withdrawal effects, minimize substance dependence, and prepare you for the next step of treatment.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Florida provides quality treatment to help individuals overcome dependency related to a wide range of addictive substances. Programs address both the physical and mental aspects of addiction in order to help you make a full recovery.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image

Adult Program

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image

Young Adult Program

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Therapists who apply cognitive behavioral therapy in Florida believe patient thoughts and behaviors are closely linked. They use this treatment method to help clients change their thought patterns so they can also change behaviors and break free from substance abuse.

Group therapy provides a safe and supportive environment for people in Florida who are struggling with drug addiction. There you can openly discuss the challenges and progress you're making without fear of judgment from your peers who experience many of the same things you are.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

As a short term therapeutic method, motivational interviewing in Florida requires only a couple of sessions. During these sessions, you'll have the opportunity to talk about your circumstances and any discrepancies between your current situation and future goals. You'll then decide for yourself what changes you want to make.

Trauma therapy helps you work through the psychological impact that traumatic events have had on your life. Your therapist helps you identify the physical, emotional, and mental triggers and develop coping mechanisms. This helps rebuild a sense of safety and trust in yourself and others.

I cannot believe it has taken me this long to leave a review for my beautiful people at GBR (they know me well, unfortunately but also fortunately- for I don't know where I would be without them). This is a trustworthy establishment that will take care of you the very best they can. You have to do your part and trust the process. Between Dr. E, Heather (admissions), and the amazing nursing staff- Mandie, Nicole, Monica, Patrick. The incredible support staff- (hey Paige! Alyssa! All my other loves!), they have all held my hands through extremely tough times and gotten me to the other side. My gratitude is endless for the angels that work there- and I am aware I didn't mention them all. But I certainly love them all. There is so much compassion and love in this beautiful facility, from the therapists, counselors, nursing staff, support staff, to the amazing chefs Sean and Karen. Food is AMAZING and plentiful. I miss sitting outside looking at the pelicans, swimming in the pool, sunning, reading, healing. No one ever wants to end up in this sort of facility, but if you have to, I *highly* recommend GBR. You'll enjoy it more than you'd expect and create a whole new two sets of families- between staff and your fellow residents (guests). Few bonuses- treadmills and exercise equipment, pool table, a dock to fish from, a pool to cleanse your soul in after the sauna, super sweet people who will change your life, and again- amazing food. Forever grateful for you GBR! Thank you for all you have done for me.

Words cannot express what GBR did for me! Starting with Heather, she was there for me throughout my incoherent days leading into the program as well as throughout my stay, she was detrimental to me getting into GBR and I adore her!! The nurses and staff were also wonderful and my councilor was equally important in my new recovery!! I got a new lease on life when I left there!

Response from the owner
Thank you so much for allowing us to share your journey. Every single one of our guests leave their own special mark on our hearts, and we are so lucky that we get to see them transform.

Recently the need of the services offered by Gulf Breeze Recovery came to be. From the start they have been nothing but professionals. My first contact was with Heather their Admissions Director . She was a god send. She was always available via phone, text or email, even on weekends. She answered all my question to help me get through this situation. The facility is great, clean and well organized. The treatment they provide has been tremendous. They not only do they help with the addiction you are there for; but also strive to give you life coping skills to deal with the everything once you complete the program. I highly recommend Gulf Breeze Recovery if you are having problems with addiction. They are caring and sympathetic to your feelings and needs and don't make you feel ashamed for asking for help. If you need help, reach out to Heather and she will start you on the road to recovery with a kind word and a willingness to genuinely help you overcome the obstacles in your life.

My son was a patient there for 2months. He has been home for 9 months and has maintained sobriety and drug free. It was difficult at the facility, due to withdrawals and medication. He made it through and so far is holding a job .

As the parent of a child struggling with addiction, I can’t express enough how grateful I am for the incredible care my son received at Gulf Breeze Recovery. From the very first contact, the staff was understanding, kind, and professional, always making us feel supported and informed. They created a treatment plan tailored to my child’s specific needs, and we were impressed by the genuine compassion and dedication of the therapists and counselors. My son was given the tools to not only manage his addiction, but to heal emotionally and mentally as well. The facility itself was welcoming, comfortable, and peaceful, offering a safe and nurturing environment for recovery. Communication was consistent, and I always felt like I was a part of the process, which meant so much during such a difficult time. I’m thrilled to say that thanks to GBR, my son is now on a positive path to recovery. If you are a parent looking for a place that truly cares and works hard to help, I wholeheartedly recommend this rehab facility. It has made a world of difference for our family
