I would give this place 10 stars if I could. I have seen many successes come out of Journey Pure. Miracles happen Every Day! Relationships restored. This place is great..with staff that truly cares for you,and a chef to that prepares each meal with love..24 hour nursing staff that knows exactly what you need.and therapists that get to the cause of your addiction..this place showed me that I can be happy in sobriety..and after 35 long years in addiction to opiates ..I want to thank Marcus and all staff at recovery bay.for helping me get my life back!! If you have someone u know and love, and they are going thru an addiction. JourneyPure Panama City Beach is the place I would want my loved one to be. Professional staff excellent techniques to teach the client of how to deal with the addiction. It has to be there choice to do so tho u can’t make anyone do anything. So until they get sick and tired of the problems then you just have to be patient. This Professional and caring staff know how to treat the patient with dignity and respect. So not only would I pick this rehab I’m also a patient. Thank you for your time.

Never once actually been helped Here, they don't even know how to put in my birthday correct. Asked for a an arrest report for a state I've never been arrested in. Drove an hour from mobile to do an evaluation got turned away for being 10 minutes late. If zero stars were available I would selected that. The vet place across the street who helped me print the required police report is amazing if you have an animal. Just curious if they pull your driving record wouldn't they see your arrest report? Nonsense ooo than they tell you call a number in which they don't pick up to reschedule. Also youll see a response from the owner he doesn't call back or care either. THEY JUST WANT YOUR MONEY

Very rude and unhelpful slim black lady with glasses at front throws off everything. I went to pay for help only to get negative feedback every time I spoke. She told me I had my receipt after I asked for it, I didn't have it. She then responded with excuses and blamed other staff. Everyine else was great but her. She never apologized or anything.

I went there in 2020 for a few weeks. it was a really good program, I was not ready for help though. If you are not ready to get help, it rarely ever works. So I came up with every excuse why I should leave. But the staff, counselors, food and everything else I highly recommend.

The place is great. My daughter is there. Only complaint i have is there policy. Me and my wife drove 1 1/2 hour. And only one can visit. Then was told my service dog could NOT come inside.

I Have to say thank you to the behavior techs and supervisors who put in the work to keep me and others safe. The problems I've had here include many things breaking, uncleanliness (a staff forced me and another client to clean a day room that had not been cleaned in what looked like months if not a year.), staff using point sheets as a weapon to make kids scared, some of the staff are just downright petty. I can't say I wasn't helped, The clinical director (Scott Smales) Was so so helpful and helped sort a lot of problems. Behavior tech just don't care a lot along with some supervisors. Thank you to the ones who did do the work they were supposed to and thank you to the interns and my therapist for making my stay somewhat less scary.

Our teenage son struggles with mental health issues. We have tried a number of programs hoping to get him the help and support he needs. One of the facilities/programs we enrolled in was Laurel Oakes in Dothan, Alabama. This facility was like no other we experienced. Every staff member we encountered was courteous, caring and always willing to go above and beyond for our child. This Facilities’ culture is created and carried forward by the Facility CEO, Jeanette J. Jeanette was and remains extremely accessible, responsive, supportive, and always willing to go above and beyond. After our son left the program, he wanted to remain in contact with Jeanette. Without hesitation, she continued to support and communicate with our son. Jeanette not only remained in contact with our son after he left Laurel Oakes, but she was also always willing to speak to us about his current challenges and continued care. You couldn't ask for a better steward to oversee your child's care. As I said, all of the staff went above and beyond always. Our son gravitated towards one staff member in particular, a gentleman known to the kids as Sarge because of his prior military service. Sarge was always a touchstone for our son. Sarge also took time out from his day to speak to our son after he left the program. I am sorry if your family finds yourself having to consider such programs for your child. That's said, if you do, I can highly recommend Jeanette and her team at Laurel Oakes.

Mrs. Karen is by the greatest lady I have delt with.she genuinely cares about my son. We had many obstacles over the last 5 years with his ADHD and she was always following up checking in finding the best solution for him and our family. She has even helped us with the school to get recommendations to tge programs the school was dragging thier feet on. Mrs Jennifer was our child and family coordinator/ therapist and she was more than patient with us. My son loves her and tho he doesn't see her anymore she has made an everlasting impact in all our lives and family as a whole.

One word—AMAZING. I have been in and out of various drug treatment centers since my first overdose when I was twenty. I don’t know To get clean this time because I really wanted it, or I knew if I didn’t succeed this time, death had his hand above my neck. But God bless Amanda. She was my savior and did everything she could to help me, and I actually looked forward to seeing her after a while. Every session, she said something that was so profound to me, something I had never thought of before, or in that way, and that pertained to me. Amanda is a MIRACLE WORKER!!! I gave myself one month from by first meeting with her, and if things haven’t changed, I was going to kill myself (after a few suicide attempts, I had figured out a fool-proof plan.) Obviously, I never had to do it, and am the best place (spiritual and emotionally) I have been in a while!
Also, for anyone serious, I recommend staying a little longer than the program states.

The Avalon Center staff have been an immense help in navigating my road to better mental health. I was diagnosed with bipolar I disorder last year and these folks have done everything they can to give me the best care possible. I was without insurance for months and they were able to help me apply for patient assistance so that I could get my necessary monthly injection that was prohibitively expensive without insurance. I was forced into the facility basically violated as if I had no understanding of what was good for me or right was never evaluated or asked any questions that pertain to my persons as someone who has never been diagnosed with any aliment not even an allergy and the entire time it's blatently obvious that the individuals who have you held against your will do not have biased understanding that most individuals di and will say whatever they feel is necessary to make it appear as if they are correct in their assumption the worst experience at any place anywhere I have ever been I felt worse for having to know that a place like that was there for that purpose.

Elena, the nurse practitioner I was seeing for a few months, didn’t want to change my medicines, and she also wouldn’t let my family be involved by updating them on what was going on. She’s very rude, and she always had been, and she’s never been a patient advocate for me.
She bettlied me about the OCD symptoms that I’ve been having for several months now. She said to continue to take the medicine that she prescribed me months ago that’s supposedly supposed to help with OCD symptoms, even though I told her it’s not working at all.
I’ll continue to see Ally, one of the therapists, there. She’s amazing, sweet, compassionate, understanding, and definitely a patient advocate unlike Elena.
I followed up with one of my OB doctors, and I was able to be prescribed medicine that I believe will really help me moving forward. Please avoid Elena if possible. She definitely didn’t have my best interest as heart, and I definitely don’t want anyone else to be treated the way that I was by her.

Stacy, Kisha, Melissa and the team at Bridgeway are amazing! They have been such a huge blessing to my family. I can’t say enough great things, they are caring, thoughtful, flexible and supportive. Their program is holistic and brings the whole family in and makes supporting them a team effort. They have been instrumental in getting our family the help it needs to thrive and do better. I've been going to Bridgeway and getting my mental health medication here since I was 17 (I'm 33 now!) and their staff has always made me feel welcome and at home. My current dr. April Burgess has always gone out of her way to make sure I get my medication, even fitting me into her schedule during mental health emergencies during the several times my Mom was in the hospital. I'm incredibly grateful for her, and even the front desk staff for being patient with me. I'm also happy to be able to have my appointments via telehealth as I'm not always able to visit in person. Thank you for all you do, please don't ever close!
