Have had a payment plan set up for over 2 years, and payment is automatic. Several months ago, I started receiving notices payment was past due. I have called for the last 3 months, to their outsourced customer service, and get told the same that it was an error, however, I keep receiving notices, and now a collection notice, on something that has been paid. Had to visit the hospital today, to try and resolve but no one will talk to me, says I can only call the 1800 number. Absolutely insane!! Worst customer service I have ever seen! Will never go back their again.

Accepted Insurance

Ascension Sacred Heart Bay works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient rehabs encompass multiple levels of care to facilitate clients' progress through their recovery journey. Clients who are stepping down from inpatient treatment may require intensive outpatient (IOP) treatment, which involves more frequent and substantive therapeutic interventions than does standard outpatient care. Outpatient centers typically provide extensive addiction counseling, including individual, group, and family therapy. Medication assisted treatment programs (MAT) and recovery-focused life skills training are also common in outpatient care.

inpatient iconInpatient

Clients typically choose inpatient rehab when they are in early recovery or are experiencing a crisis that puts them at an increased risk of relapse. They reside at the treatment center for the length of their program, which may range from two weeks to more than 18 months, depending on the program design. Intensive psychotherapy is often the primary treatment modality, but clients in inpatient care may also receive holistic treatment and recovery-focused life skills training.

24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care

24-hour clinical care in Florida is an essential part of treatment, particularly with medical detox. Withdrawal symptoms can be severe, and supervised detox provides around the clock access to medical professionals who can adminsiter proper medications and treatment to address these symptoms and step in should an emergency occur. This intensive clinical care will help curb the withdrawal effects, minimize substance dependence, and prepare you for the next step of treatment.

Treatments

Mental health and substance abuse treatment in Florida is offered by dual-diagnosis facilities that can provide comprehensive care tailored to your needs. By integrating mental health, medical care, and therapeutic care, medical experts can effectively treat both co-occurring mental health conditions, stabilizing your mental health, and helping you learn vital skills to achieve long-term recovery.

Clinical Services

Trauma therapy helps you work through the psychological impact that traumatic events have had on your life. Your therapist helps you identify the physical, emotional, and mental triggers and develop coping mechanisms. This helps rebuild a sense of safety and trust in yourself and others.

My husband was admitted to the hospital because of a critical heart condition. The following healthcare professionals provided exceptional, compassionate care to him. 5th floor—Laurie, Mark, and Holly. ICU—Hannah, Sierra, Addyson, Candi, Korey, Dr. Marco, Dr. Khaja. Thank you so much for all that you did to support him and our family.

This is the worst run hospital I have ever been to. This is based upon my 40 years in the medical industry. If you have another option pursue it. Y

Went in for severe abdominal pain to the Port St. Joe location. They did a CT and said I had a kidney blockage. They transferred me to this location and that's where it all went wrong. First doctor I met told me I had a mass pressing up against my kidney. I told him that is not true, please check the CT again. He checked it, apologized, and confirmed there was no mass. They wouldn't let me eat because they said the urologist would be by shortly for a consult. The urologist never came by that night so they gave me a 1.5 hour period that first day at 9p to eat and drink before revoking my eating and drinking privileges again. They also wanted an echocardiogram just to have for their records even though it had no bearing on any procedure we were doing. I told them no and they cancelled it, only to re-add it the next morning and I had to cancel it again. They wanted a CT scan again even though I did one at the Port St. Joe facility the day prior. I was supposed to consult with the urologist the next morning (still no food or drink allowed) and 10a goes by, noon goes by and I call the nurse and we get the general med doc on the floor to see what's up. He said he'd text the urologist and didn't get an immediate response. I wait until 3p and ask again and the nurse tells me they texted him but no response. Why can't you follow up on that? It's now 4p, no consult, haven't eaten or drank in two days except for the one window the first day, and I have no answers from anyone. To top it all off, I have to keep track of my own pain medication schedule, they won't come by if I don't call. The nurse just told me to call her at 5p for the next round. I've been to multiple medical facilities as I've battled colorectal cancer for 8 years. I've been all across the US and this has been the worst by far. Messed up my entire vacation. Never will come here again. Strongly thinking about just walking out.

Hey!! This crew was absolutely incredible spot on. I was going in for a procedure with Dr Hoang and his staff. Never once, was I made to feel uncomfortable about a procedure from the moment I arrived at the front desk to going to the discharge. This Dr Hoang and the staff had this patient “me” feel like I was under professional care and well taken care of. Great Job guys Visit Cardiovascular Center for Florida

First off, let me start by saying that the nursing staff was wonderful. I am an employee of Ascension, Sacred Heart Bay, and I know how we’ve all been trying to improve. My procedure did not go well at first and I’m very disappointed in that. I was in such excruciating pain and it was not supposed to go that way. I was there almost 3 times longer than what I was supposed to have been. The physician who was performing the procedure. He was very nice and everything, but I was not expecting the pain Because I was not sedated. I would hope that in the future that if a patient has to be sedated to please to date them because I did ask to be sedated and they did not.

Absolutely the best experience at Ascension Heart. They are all very professional here. If you need a surgeon I highly recommend Dr Christopher Johnson. He takes his time to explain, and listens to your questions and answers them for you. He repaired a sternum hernia for meon the 15th of May and home two days later. I am doing fine. Thank you Dr Johnson and staff.

Nurses's were excellent, Carolyn and Haley exceptional! Friendly and efficient. They both deserve praise. However - 5 days in the hospital with chest pains needing a heart cath. Then they do the procedure on the 5th. day, Not acceptable! Told I would need more testing, released and nothing scheduled or no testing information at all. Nurse's great, Dotors need to give more information and follow up to insure the information is relayed to the patient. One word comes to mind negligence!
