I did treatment twice at semo. Once to get clean and once to prevent a relapse. My cooccuring councilor mr virgil and my facilitator saved my life. When leaving treatment my facilitator asked me to check out a specific type of meeting when leaving and the truly taught me how to fight within for my sobriety. Today i am 5 yrs 2 months and 19 days sober and i never went to another facility and no relapses! Hadnt they taken me serious during my cry before relapse and let me back in i wouldnt be here today! Semo saved my life!

I m only 4 days in but let me tell you though it works! I have battled fentanyl addiction for over 3 years and if you are an addict of the same caliber then you know there s no detoxing without help off that demon! I went to this place as a last resort to impatient with no expectations since nothing else has ever worked and let me tell you I haven t felt as normal if that s a word I can use to describe it as in years even before the addiction took hold..I have energy and I am clear headed.. you have to give this a try you won t be sorry! From the front desk, to the counselor, the nurse, the doctor I mean even the clinic director and other counselors these people care! They don t treat you like someone who doesn t deserve help or like it s your own fault your where you are. Idk I guess I just am so surprised yet grateful to be free from the monkey on my back I want everyone to know they can be free to..I hope this finds and helps someone else get on the same track to living again!

In the 10+ years I have been battling addiction, 8 of which were in a MAT of some sort, and spanning across 5 US states, I have never encountered the level of compassion, professionalism, and just plain old fashioned wholeheartedness in the care and treatment radiating from every staff member at the Med Mark treatment center in Dothan. I was always just a number anywhere else. Here, I walk in the door and feel like they are happy I made it that day. This may seem like an exaggeration to some but it's considered an understatement by me. Thank you, Med Mark, for going that extra mile to help me.

My Grandpa was a resident on the rehab wing for around 2 weeks and while I was hesitant at first, we could not be happier. He felt respected and like he had his dignity throughout his stay. Staff members not only treated him with courtesy, but actually got him stronger physically and helped improved his overall outlook towards his decreased mobility. These ladies (and gentlemen) work so hard to provide an enriching experience for residents who live within their walls and they do it with care and respect. In my opinion they all deserve raises and more funding. I can't even single anyone out because SO MANY staff members provided excellent care.

Different name same style of having great workers. I currently have a family member that resides in the facility and I must say and give the facility a hands up for the job that is being done. When it comes to the front office staff, Debbie and Michelle are always on top of making sure that everything is on point and accurate. They assisted with making sure my father account is well managed and informative on what is taking place with any changes. Kizzy is the overall jewel that keeps a smile on your face and updates on the facility and the care that is being issued. My father loves the restorative care that he received from the aide Kalea who is very supportive and goes above and beyond to make sure that he is receiving the one on one hands action to continue his strengthening and everyday of life motions. His walking has increased as well as his will to want to strive for the goals set. I must say that it was not an easy decision to have to place my father but I am glad that the Springs have became a family in which he is proud to say he resides. Thank you all for the hard work

One word AMAZING. I have been in and out of various drug treatment centers since my first overdose when I was twenty. I don t know To get clean this time because I really wanted it, or I knew if I didn t succeed this time, death had his hand above my neck. But God bless Amanda. She was my savior and did everything she could to help me, and I actually looked forward to seeing her after a while. Every session, she said something that was so profound to me, something I had never thought of before, or in that way, and that pertained to me. Amanda is a MIRACLE WORKER!!! I gave myself one month from by first meeting with her, and if things haven t changed, I was going to kill myself (after a few suicide attempts, I had figured out a fool-proof plan.) Obviously, I never had to do it, and am the best place (spiritual and emotionally) I have been in a while!Also, for anyone serious, I recommend staying a little longer than the program states.Thank you again, Amanda!!!C.W.

This is a amazing clinic. From the counselors to the doctor. They go out of their way to help my son. They visit him at school, they even have a team that will even visit your house and do activities with your child to help them learn coping skills, encouragement, help with self esteem issues, and they reward them aswell. I have seen my son go from having such anger every single day, to slowly coming out of his shell and communicating more, and being in better moods. They just give him someone to talk to other than me. Totally recommend this place. Wish there was something like this around when I was growing up.

Great place. I was originally placed in a group mostly of girls. Precisely, all girls. Only reason why I left that group and placed with the boys was because like 3 or 4 of them had a crush on me, and the staff was concerned about that. Don't blame them. When I was with the boys, I felt happier. Having a group of people I could actually relate with, and was on the same hall as them was great. I stayed for about a month, before I was released at the end of October of 2021. I'm 17, almost 18, and though much mental health problems got worse, Beacon helped me a bunch. I thank them , who kept me alive another few years. I did have about 6 more hospital visits since my beacon visit in 21' , but I love how they treated me. No other hospitals treated me like beacon did.

We have had great outcomes with their assistance in our time of need. Of course, with all programs there is always room for improvement. More evaluations, more intense counseling sessions or at least more frequent sessions and more parent involvement in treatment. But they have gotten us back on the right track each time.

To start my visit I went into the main entrance I was quickly met with help and great directions to the emergency department. I was quickly taken to the back with friendly care. They checked on me often. I had the flu so I had an awful headache they made sure I had water, medicine, if I wanted the chair up, or the lights off for my headache. The two nurses (one male and one female) were so attentive! And the doctor Nickolas bass was a straight shooter and explained everything well. The reviews/ratings may be bad but I couldn t ask for better!

Had my infusion done last week! The gals up there take such good care of me! Kim and Kayleigh go above and beyond to make me comfortable and even though my appointments are 6 months apart they seem to remember me and know exactly what I need. I don't dread my treatments! I have been to the emergency alot,due to heart disease.Severe heart disease and other things.My cardiologist was excellent,however,I couldn't really go to a drs.private office with severe chest pain.Dr.Pic,in the e.r.diagnosed me with his expertise in heart attack cases,by listening to the absence of what should have been...luckily he admitted me.A morning heart cath showed two arteries 95%occluded.I had open heart,bypass,a week later.Surgeon,Dr.Johnson performed the successful surgery.I have found sincere,compassionate physicians at Southeast amc...My life has literally been saved several times,after three heart attacks.Dr.Mcdonald has always shown concern for me,along with Dr.Davis,Dr.Jonas,etc.Thank you for being so kind and great at what you do!

I have recently moved to Troy fro the Tennessee Valley where all the local psychologists i saw were a joke. My dad really likes them for his depression and ocd. As for me their near universal biggotry via harsh generalized labeling is nothing more than cowardice under the excuse of being naives. Here the treatment is the opposite.

This place is great..with staff that truly cares for you,and a chef to that prepares each meal with love..24 hour nursing staff that knows exactly what you need.and therapists that get to the cause of your addiction..this place showed me that I can be happy in sobriety..and after 35 long years in addiction to opiates ..I want to thank Marcus and all staff at recovery bay.for helping me get my life back!! I am sober and confident that I will remaine that way.

If you have someone u know and love, and they are going thru an addiction. JourneyPure Panama City Beach is the place I would want my loved one to be. Professional staff excellent techniques to teach the client of how to deal with the addiction. It has to be there choice to do so tho u can t make anyone do anything. So until they get sick and tired of the problems then you just have to be patient. This Professional and caring staff know how to treat the patient with dignity and respect. This place isn't too bad. They have a very high turnover rate as far as counselors and pharmacy techs go. Always new employees rotating in and out. The director is fair and friendly, I like her a lot. There are a few counselors that have been there for a long time though, they are awesome and for the most part always willing to help resolve an issue. I guess the biggest downside to this place is all the drama that goes down in the parking lot before the place even opens, lawd there's some crazy folks that go here!

My favorite location to dose at. The director is super nice and you can tell she cares. The receptionist is very nice and doesn t ever seem like she s upset to be at work, really welcoming. The nurses are great too but the nurse Tony is the MVP in my opinion She s always on top of things when I guest dose there and always atleast seems like she s happy to be there and to help. In my experience it s almost a thankless job and most people expect so much and can be super rude at clinics, but this clinic actually cares and does their best and you can tell.

I came to 12 Oaks depressed,angry,and terrified. I knew I was done with dope but I didn't know how to stay that way. But in this beautiful environment with a staff that truly cares enabled me to find and begin to love myself again. The yoga therapy was really helpful with my anxiety as well as getting closer to a higher power. My therapist helped me get in touch with myself. She and Ashley, helped me to see what I needed to work on and to be more kind to myself. The other clients showed me that I could feel safe to have real friendship. I am so grateful to have a place like 12 Oaks that allowed me to recover in a way that worked for me. And I'm more than grateful to have been able to watch the sunrise on the beach every morning and smoke cigarettes! You guys rock! Keep caring and loving us til we can love ourselves.

I recently completed 30 day residential treatment on Jan 20th 2025. I’ve been in numerous recovery centers, in multiple states, continuously since September 2024. Let me just say, 12 Oaks is definitely one of the best! It’s actually organized and ran quite well. The staff genuinely act like they care…from the therapists and case managers to the kitchen and housekeeping crews! The techs Twyla and Ms. Tammy will forever have a special place in my heart. (They like to look tough lol, but they have genuine caring souls.)
Prospective clients … seriously, give this place a shot. It’s worth it! They offer yoga and meditation a couple days a week, also recreation therapy. You can walk on the beach and pier, play corn hole or basketball. After your 8th day you’re allowed to have your cell phone for one hour per day. Nightly peer lead AA/NA meetings. Bible study and they also take you to a wonderful nondenominational church every Sunday if you chose to go! This is the only place I’ve been that immediately starts working on your aftercare plans for housing and setting up aftercare MAT doctor appointments. They will also take you to the DMV to get your ID if needed.
I can’t recommend 12 Oaks enough. Remember, what you get out of recovery depends on what you put into it! Put in the work, participate in groups, and attend extra meetings! Follow the rules, be respectful and appreciative you’re even given this opportunity to change your life and work on healing yourself. & I promise you, your time in rehab will go a lot smoother.
