I have honestly never been met with such unprofessionalism and disregard for patient care. My son and I are both patients and we have run out of medicine because they do not write enough to last till next appointment and have been changed leaving the pharmacy to fax over several requests that just go unanswered. Leave a message for the nurse and have to call back numerous times over a week long span to get an answer. It’s beyond ridiculous. I can say I have not ONCE had anyone TRULY CARE about me or my child.

Accepted Insurance

BayView Professional Associates – Fairhope works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Intensive outpatient programs (IOP) are designed for clients in early recovery and those at an elevated risk of relapse. Clients in IOP attend outpatient therapy sessions for a minimum of nine hours per week but clients may receive as many as 20 hours of IOP treatment weekly. Sessions generally occur in 3-5 hour blocks, in which time clients engage in some combination of medication assisted treatment (MAT), psychotherapy, recovery skills training, or complementary care.

inpatient iconInpatient

Inpatient rehab is designed primarily for clients exiting detox, people in early recovery, and those at an elevated risk of relapse. Participants reside at the rehab facility until they complete their treatment program. This allows them to focus solely on their recovery, away from outside distractions, stressors, and addiction triggers. Inpatient drug rehab typically involves extensive addiction counseling, recovery-focused life skills training, and complementary therapies.

Treatments

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Whether the condition is mild, moderate, or severe, effective treatment is available through alcohol rehab in Alabama. Evidence-based therapies, mutual-support groups, and medications have all proven effective treatments alcohol addiction.

Drug rehab in Alabama provides medical or psychotherapeutic treatment for drug dependency. Methods of treatment often include a combination of medication, counseling, and recreational therapies.

opium iconOpioid Addiction

You can find comprehensive substance abuse treatment in Alabama. Typically, drug and alcohol rehabs provide a full continuum of care including medically assisted detox, inpatient, outpatient, dual-diagnosis, and partial hospitalization. With a comprehensive substance abuse evaluation, addiction experts provide individualized treatment plans to cater to your individual needs. These programs address substance use disorders using evidence-based therapies like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), counseling, and recovery support groups.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image

Adult Program

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Clinical Services

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

The goal of cognitive behavioral therapy in Alabama is to lessen the symptoms of certain mental health conditions, including substance abuse and co occurring mental health disorders. It is known as one of the most effective means of treatment for these conditions.

I have always had a wonderful experience with this psychiatrist office. Maggie and everyone has been nothing but wonderful to me. I have always been really well cared for and informed about the provisions in my care. I recommend this clinic for psychiatric care

I'm one of the many others in this review section that have gotten an unfair $200 no-show fee. I was 6 minutes late to a telehealth appointment - which I didn't get the initial reminder text for. I'm not sure how long Dr. Cronin waited for me, but I waited to make sure he wasn't the one who was late before I called the office. I was told I'd have to reschedule (the earliest date being over a month out, mind you my last appointment was in March). I wasn't told anything about the fee by the woman on the phone. Then I was charged $200 at 8PM. This is all not to mention the lackluster assistance I've received at this practice. Dr. Cronin has rushed all of our appointments and seems to lack empathy. It seems many people are forced to utilize this establishment due to a lack of other options, and I feel they take advantage of that fact.

Such a scam. After my doctor prescribed me a higher dose of meds without telling me, I started to have heart palpitations and took a year off from trying to get the mental health I needed. They kicked me out of the system in that year so I had to start as a new patient. Now I’m 2 weeks into trying to get the $200 they charged me for missing an appointment that I called and cancelled a week prior because of unplanned surgery. I’ve been trying to figure out my mental health with them for literally 10 years, but the turnover with the doctors is so high that you will never figure anything out. Good luck!

Response from the owner

I know that some people here are not the most helpful, but you will find that everywhere in life. In my experience, I’ve been fortunate enough to have dealt with the kindest people here. Mrs Maggie Kellar is the sweetest soul I’ve had the chance to meet, and the front office ladies are always so helpful and supportive, especially Ms Tracy and the other lady at the front (I’m not sure of her name but I spoke with her again today 1/23/25 and she’s just so precious). I am so grateful to have them, as it’s not easy going to therapy or anything like that so it’s comforting to know they care about the patients and they aren’t just doing a job each day. Thank yall!

Response from the owner
Meaghan, thank you for the feedback and thoughtful review. I will make sure to share your experience with the team.
Kindly,
April
