My Son came back to us a Responsible, Christian Man. Able to stand on his own and pay his own bills for the first time in Many years. I Truly Know With All My Heart That AA&TC Saved My Son's Life! I will be eternally grateful for all the hard work they invested in my Son. I know he is in God's hands and I know he is a Christian. Everything about him changed for the better. Money could not buy the Blessings we have received or the life that was Saved! It was hard for us all to let go and let God, but that is exactly what had to happen to save my son's life. AA&TC knew exactly what he needed and what we needed as his family. If your son needs saving and you have realized that You can't save him. Call AA&TC because they can help him have a New Life! Promise. Thank You Bay Minette, AA&TC, and Pastor Kieth for the Miracle you gave us!

I just want to say that God and this program saved my sons life. He was headed down a very dark path of addiction and depression. I have prayed for YEARS for him to be free of his addiction. But I wasn’t giving God enough credit, so that’s when He showed me how big and strong He is. Not only did He help my son break free from his addictions, He saved him. My son now has a personal relationship with God. Prior to this my son even told me he wasn’t sure there WAS a God. He has now completed his year there, and not only did he get saved and baptized (his choice...not a requirement or demand) he has chosen to stay and become an intern to help others with the same issues. He has done some public speaking, giving his testimony (which is amazing considering the things he did...also amazing he lived through it). I always told him that God had plans for him bigger than he could imagine. I’m here to tell you PRAYERS WORK! But I only prayed for his freedom from addictions. Not only did God do that, he went a step further and convicted him of listening to degrading rap music and gave him a voice to use to tell of His mercy that is freely given for all of us. He feels led to help others in similar situations. Praise and Glory to Him!! No, this is not “forced religion” as the previous review suggested. This is a program that tells you that God loves each and every one of us the same and wants us to come to the altar and ask for His help. He loves us so much that He gave His Only begotten son to save each and every one of us. I thank God for this wonderful program!! Instead of celebrating my sons graduation and promotion to internship, I could easily have been burying him had it not been for this program and Gods mercy.

I’ve been on the program for 12 years, I ve had 3 awesome counselors. I stayed with one for 9 years, without her I wouldn’t have made it. She was in recovery herself, so She understood me. It is pretty bad right now, with the employee turnover rate, and organization with the Hurricane season. But with anything there is good and bad. I am sure they will get it back together soon.People need to understand that they are highly critiqued by federal laws. But as long as you do what your supposed to, you will not have any problems.

I transferred around Fl quite a bit the last couple of yesrs and the panhandle area is without a doubt the most in need of quality MAT. THE ONE IN Panama city is the worst, long lines no phasing past 6 and you are treated like a criminal. Bei.g a phase 27 that was out of the question for me so I enrolled here. The people were great, the clinic was efficient clean and friendly my issues were that it was over 200 miles round trip and the biggest they stand there and watch you pee. I have shy bladder and was to the point of having to use a catheter because it was taking an hour or more to do a urine sample. I transferred to Tallahassee clinic the drive was a little shorter but they just pat you down before a urine test so that made it way easier BUT the Tallahassee clinic has huge turnover and currently just 2 councelors, they are more interested in squeezing money than helping even at phase 27 they want you to attend 2 groups a month, 4 so called physicals a year and so on...dont get me wrong, the counselors are good and want to help but it is obvious that they have thier hands tied by corporate. If lakeview could use cameras pat downs or anything other than the stand and stare method for tests i would transfer bsck despite the extra drive...yall PLEASE give that some thought i know I speak for others ss well...you have a really good clinic with really good people you shouldnt abuse patients and staff with this archaic practice.

I posted a review a couple years ago when e wonderful hI went to alter point for help with serious long time opiate addiction that had my life upside down again and I was on the edge of despair. Hopeless and ready to end my life . Well alter point took me under their care. They were swamped with people way understaffed and way over worked . But they continued and still do helping people like me pick up the pieces and face out shame and all kinds of issues. Well I am 3 years totally clean and still go to alter point every month and still get the love and support these caring people give. Thank you alter point , you all are saving lives and making a difference. Anyone full of criticism should look at lives saved not lives lost. Thanks for my life.

Hi April can you please pass this along we the people of Altapointe watch other workers come and go they leave for various reasons some of the main reasons that we hear from them is its not enough pay and they just can't get with a 37.5 work week. For all of us who continue to stay because we love the company we love what we do. Even when people in the community try to talk bad about the company as well as you see a lot of the bashing on public forums. You have a lot of dedicated employees that take up for the company all we're asking is for a 40-hour work week instead of the outdated 37.5 times are hard for alot of people and for those who may not experience hard times and dont understand how a difference this can make for some God Bless You. We all love Tuerk he is a very Nice man and we all appreciate him.

Ok, so after almost two years with Dr. Sinclair I feel like I can give an honest review of my experience so far. SO, as far as Sinclair goes, there is no one better in my opinion. He is caring, respectful and educated. He is the type of person you walk away from and the rest of your day is a little brighter. However, the office staff? Oh lawd hammercy. It's a hot mess express. No one knows what's going on. Seems like no calls to the nurse line is documented, ever. I needed to be in his refill clinic and the nurse made me an appointment but for two months out and reassured me that I would be able to get refills even though my appointment was two months away. Found out that she made me an appointment with someone else (whom I've never seen) instead of Sinclair AFTER I requested refills through my pharmacy and got a call from the nurse saying that I couldn't because it was time to make an appointment. I told her I was scheduled and she told me it was with someone else so magically, she got me in the very next day with Sinclair for the refill clinic. Phew, that's just my recent experience with the staff. Lol Anyway, I highly recommend Sinclair and I'll follow him anywhere he goes. My quality of life has just overall been better since he has been my doctor. I have switched medications soooooo many times to find the right med combo and he has been there in the trenches with me through it all. 11/10 stars!

I've gone here for years, so I've been through a few Dr's (due to me changing my day of the week or other) & more than a few front desk personnel. For the most part it's good, especially recently. They've become more reliable. It used to be hit & miss when it came to getting someone on the phone or getting a P.A. for your script. However I've still got a little PTSD from the horrors of the inconsistency before. It's a delicate business dealing w/ people in addiction & recovery so staff is & should be held to a higher standard. Dr. Seelye is very kind & understanding.

I struggled with drugs when I was younger and I finally found the structure I needed here. They had a routine and support that let me get my head clear and focus on actually getting better. I know most folks don’t really leave reviews unless they are upset about something or frustrated with their situation and I’m not sure how things have changed since I was there but I feel I need to give my experience as a patient in 2009-2010. As a child I was faced with neglect, abandonment, molestation, homelessness, mental illnesses, family hardships amongst a long list of other issues involving hoarding. I came to Baypoint after have tried to and almost successfully, kill myself. The state of Alabama took me into their care and placed me here to get my mental in order. I rejected every ounce of help they had to offer and honestly was little prick while I was there. I joined in willingly to fights to impress other kids and act out because I was refusing to listen to my therapist dr. Rene. With this amount of attitude I was placed in seclusion (as I should be!) to think about my actions. Yes I was physically restrained but in their defense I was swinging on everyone and everything. They were protecting themselves and I completely understand this now. As teenagers we all have a couple things in common and that is that we hate the body we are in and we lash out on everyone around us. Add in a few mental illnesses and you have a dangerous situation. The folks at this facility during my time tried their best to teach me how to channel my emotions and I brushed them off with feelings that they didn’t know how I felt and nothing they could do can help. Know that I’m 30 I can think back to every lesson I ever had and use the tools they instilled so long ago. Now as i think about the children that were in the wwasp programs, bay pointe was an excellent facility! They taught me how to wash my own clothes and keep a schedule. We would get allowances that we could use at the vending machine and when we went on our outings. Going out to the pond and seeing the turtles really made my day! When I expressed the therapeutic need to see the stars, the counselors found a time to allow those of us who wished to see them a few minutes outside at night once a week to give us this. We had rec time and I see that they have ankle monitors now which can make this more of a possibility. So many of us tried to run away and some accomplished this because we all refuse help when we have to give up things in order to be help. Then we think we are abused because we can’t have our way. Bay pointe provides recreation, 3 very tasty meals a day, adequate bedding and supervision with an appropriate amount of discipline. Just like in high school, the teachers can only do so much about bullying. It’s up to you as an individual to walk away and ignore it. You can’t avoid this even in work settings as adults. My overall review of this place is when we are kids everyone is out to get us but just like with playing a sport, if you don’t practice everyday, you get worse. Utilize every minute of this program and be there for you not friends. I know how hard it is as I was there for over a year but that was my fault for making it longer and continuing to be a prick. Be determined and this place can be very healing if you let it. Using the business education program they had I’ve used what I’ve learned there and am currently a proud business owner. As the parents of children who are in this system, be involved as much as you can! You can’t expect change if you do not change yourself. Accept that you are going to have to alter your way of life for your children even more than most and call out to family and friends who can also support you and your kid. This program takes a while to sink in but if you let it, it will open your eyes and help you see the small tweaks it made to help you be a better person and control your emotions. Thank you baypointe and I’m sorry for punching a hole straight through to the break room on the teen girls side!

I just got home from this place and it was truly a good experience. I highly recommend it to anyone who's serious about getting off drugs. They have a great staff and it's so deep in the woods noone really thinks of leaving. They take you fishing down at the swamp. It is coed. You get to order your food from a grocery store and cook it yourself, so you're basically living with some forms of independence even though you're in treatment. I looked at my two week stay like a summer vacation. Thank you guys for having me.

UPDATE: So I posted this when I initially left. I didn’t complete treatment. But it says a lot when a facility still has you turn your life around. I started methadone and have almost gotten everything in my life back. And it was all due to the care these people showed me. They may not even remember me bc my experience there was so brief. But their impact lasted forever. The way they fought for me. Worked on me, even in ways that made me uncomfortable. And the way they believed in me. That small period of time I spent there showed me I could do more than I thought. And it weighed on me. I remember this lady grabbing me and telling me ,”the devil is a liar, and he wants you when you are weak!” And that stuck with me. During my addiction I had felt so chronically alone. Maybe I didn’t complete the program as I should, but that doesn’t mean yall shouldn’t!!! Keep going. Stick with it. These people will change your whole life. Even I got off of hard drugs because of their impact. So please, do better than even me, and give them a chance. Hell, do the full 90 days as they have all the tools. I wish I would’ve. But I’m still grateful because even their comfort, and love they showed me in my darkest time stuck with me until this very day. ———— POST PRIOR TO THE UPDATE BELOW: I sadly didn’t complete my treatment, not even by a little. I cowered down on day three. But these people really care. They try their best to keep you there. They care for you. And by you I mean YOU as an individual. I wish I would’ve been stronger than my vices. But to anyone looking to give treatment a plan. Please do not overlook this blessing. Some of the most patient, compassionate human beings I’ve ever met. They meet you with a love I honestly haven’t seen since I’d initially battled my addiction. Please give them a chance, and be stronger than I was. They are such lovely human beings not a single one showing any hint of judgement. Sweet people all around Answers for those afraid of rehab, esp opioid addicts: yes you are detoxed with comfort meds!!! no they won’t let you suffer They do not treat you like a “junkie.” They love you and see you as someone suffering a disease. Never in my entire life have I seen people so passionate about their job.

I was there. I was in a place in my life where I could not continue on the path that I was taking. The counselors helped me work through the things within me that chained me to a way of life that was really no life at all. It was more of a way of death. That was five years ago. I am still sober. That facility helped me help myself. I am grateful. If you are reading this then you or someone you care about is in a bad place in their life. I know the feeling of crushing desperation. Go. Go and follow the program. Like you, I felt like AA was a bit culty. Trust me, man, it isn't. Once I wrapped my head around the principles of it and reconciled those principles with my personal faith in God I realized what a good thing it really is. They don't want to run you. They don't want your money. They just want to help you. I absolutely recommend it. It saved my life. It helped me make my life worth living

There are cliques among the employees. When the bus comes, out of 2 months, I've seen only 2 white people talk to the black crowd in front of the exit. I am not wrong here. I do not deserve mistreatment. I love everyone. I want the best for anyone. I try not to hate. I love Oceans, Christina, Lucy, & Gabby. They are all super sweet, genuine & nice. Henry the bus driver is AWESOME! Best bus driver I've ever ridden with in my life. The food is great. Karaoke & bingo are fun. They take a lot of medical insurances. I LOVE this place. Sounds crazy I know, but when you've been through 30 years of mental health experience I gotta say this is the 2nd BEST place I've ever been 2 for help. Charter is the best. It's no longer there which makes this place the best. God Bless. Do the best you can by God yall. Amen.

This place changed my life! Theres a hospital side and a therapy side to oceans. I was at the therapy side. I spent 8 weeks in group therapy and the knowledge I gained about myself and sharing perspectives in group therapy drastically improved my marriage, how I treat my kids, sleep and overall mood. Facility can use some upgrades, but the staff is amazing! Nursing staff is friendly and fun. They were the main contributors of me having a good experience.

I was thinking about this place today for some reason. I spent 29 days here in 2015 or late 2014. Anyway I remember it was a very good program. The scenery is beautiful and many long walks around the facility. I was glad we could smoke as well. I remember going to the local Catholic Church nearby. Oh yes and the food was delicious. Females were there as well, but no peeking lol. Overall a good place if you wanna sober up and stay off the destructive path.

I didn't believe in God anymore because I thought he put my addiction and my life experiences that most people couldn't live threw and I didn't grow up in Church and couldn't do my work without help from the ladies in there until they taught me how to use the Bible and feel what was in the Bible in my heart now I believe in God and know it was me that did all of that to myself and I learned I had to pay for my mistakes and for the hustles that I did to people to feed my addiction I've been in and out of prison ,jail and rehabs for 25 years paying for the things I did and I still to this day pay for them in my heart and mind but I know now that God has my back to help me threw my life they helped me believe in God again and that was the most precious thing any one could ever do for me
