I recently completed an appointment that included a doctor who had not reviewed my file, my medications nor the time on the medications. She did not know the dosage either. She was quick to change my meds even though I had been doing well for over a year on that regimen. She told me to “choose one,” when referring to changing my medication. It wasn’t of a concern to her how this would affect me, only that she could eliminate one of my medications as she said “they” prefer we don’t prescribe this.

So much better since it’s been taken over the only issue I have is that I’ve gotten close to my counselor and everytime I have to tell my whole life story because they leave and they don’t say why but I know there’s a common cause. I followed easy instructions to get to Heart Institute and was met almost immediately by nurse who took me back to procedure room. Prep was quick, ready when Dr Cheng came in to do procedure. He told me results, nurse repeated in case I didn’t remember. I was very pleased with all aspects of procedure.

I stopped a 20 year addiction to cocaine and alcohol in November, 2024. After my treatment I was released to Bradford Health Services for "intensive outpatient" classes. Allison Neal and Melissa Wisdom are 2 employees at this facility. I have to say that they show more care and gave more help to me, than anyone in my entire recovery. They truly blessed my walk. And if it wasn't for them, I would have relapsed a couple of times. They need their praise.

Wellstone is not some eutopia were they have a magic want that can cure the issues that you have n I certainly cannot speak for other people's experience. I came to them in the throws of years of untreated mental health and severe drug addiction and while they offered no magic fix. What they gave me was love,support,belief and a path forward. I had to do the work but they gave me the tools that set me up for success. The leaders, counselor and staff have never done anything but support me. They work tireslessy at a job that is far from glamorous. If you are reading this and you face a crossroads of your life and you don't know we're to start. I recommend them with every ounce of my heart. The IOP program is so beautiful and it matters not what baggage you bring. You will be greeted with empathy and without Judgement. I love every therapist ,physician and peer support counselor that I have had. They never gave up on me n what they gave me litterally saved my life and had it not been for them. They picked me up and took me to my appts and worked with the insurance company for months until they got my medicine covered! I also felt I wasn't heard during my psych eval and felt I had an additional diagnosis. After a year of therapy and psychiatrist appts, they did amend my diagnosis..they listened to me and had evidence to back their diagnosis. They did right by me. Sarah Dettweiler is the psychiatrist I have been seeing and she's very good at what she does..she's calm and very nice..not intimidating and listens! Brenda..I had an episode at her when I was waiting for my medicine and this sweet lady was always very very nice. Also I had a few counselors I wasn't happy with and they switched me to Brittany...she's truly the best I've ever had. I feel my care is safe in their hands and I trust them!

I had an extremely abusive childhood. It takes a lot for me to learn to open up. I’d been hospitalized over 20 times in 3 years for hurting myself.
I never thought I’d be able to get even slightly better. I was told I was going to live in a facility for the mentally ill and disabled. But i have one last try here!
I’m harm free for over a year! I have job, car, and house. I’ve succeeded. Thanks to everyone here. And you can too. 💕

This clinic has gotten awful making patients pay even on days they can not make it to the clinic so it I only have 68$ for dosing 1 week and I miss 3 days I still get charged 51$ for the 3 days I cant pay but the kicker is IF I show up those 3 days and I say I cant pay can I stll dose well hell naw I don't get to dose but Im still charged as if I have dosed and they are making everyone sign saying they will pay even when they don't have the money crooked as he'll now if you let them dose and they owe you that's 1 thing will that's fair but not letting them dose and charging them as if they did is crooked

Fellowship house really helped me get back on my feet. Great place. Great staff. A safe place to recover. They care about your mental and emotional health. I learned so much from my time there. Birmingham Recovery Center provided a space for me to heal mentally, physically, and spiritually during this season in my life. Looking back at my time at BRC, I was met with 1 on 1 therapy, group processing, while being held accountable. I learned how to get honest and vulnerable with the help of the staff there. BRC played a pivotal role in helping me build a foundation for my life while healing from my past. So that I could move forward and live life on life’s terms. I’m beyond grateful for all the staff at BRC, they helped me in more ways than I could ever count. I’ll recommend BRC to whoever God puts in my path that’s looking for a new way of life. My whole life I've heard horror stories about the VA. The last 2.5 years we have lived with my dad to take care of him. I have nothing but great things to say about the Oxford VA and the nationwide VA pharmacy. They take great care of my dad and are VERY thorough with his care. The nurses treat him like gold and flirt with him, which he loves. They provide almost anything he needs: some of his prescriptions, a hospital bed, liquid thickener, oxygen tank, eye services, psychiatric services, etc. Any time I have had to call they have been sooooo polite and helpful. Same with the pharmacy. I forgot to re-order one of my dad's prescriptions and they got it to me by the NEXT day. The VA isn't perfect, but I feel like they really care about their veterans and their health.

I have nothing but good things to say about this VA Clinic location. The staff are friendly, helpful and service is always very professional and prompt. I enjoyed meeting Dr Coker today. He is friendly, kind and listens to what you have to say. I transferred my care here from that train wreck Rainbow City location. MUCH happier here!
