They help you in trying to get clean and sober for sure. But what S2L and the staff are all about is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. That’s why it is so successful.

There were fights all the time, girls breaking lights to harm themselves or others almost on a daily. There were girls hooking up and staff would look the other way. There was nothing about that place that helped I had to get transferred to a different program

The people working at Oak Plains should be working at prison, that would be their perfect job because of the characteristics they show. They are the worst of their kind, I don't understand how they think that people can be helped with their attitudes.

My young son went here for alcohol abuse and stayed the whole 112 days. I am forever grateful to this group of people thank you ❤️

I have been to Tampa Florida VA and the Atlanta VA, I don't recommend them, but the VA clinic is superb. Customer service is beyond reproach. The staff are friendly, helpful and answered all questions. The facility is expanding and it is well designed, functional with all the amenities you could ask for. I have been in healthcare for over 50 years and I have never seen a clinic that compares. It is superb. I highly recommend this VA clinic.

I've received good care but never in a timely manner, if you need to use PTO to visit the clinic, plan on it taking much longer than scheduled

No one ever answers the phone for med refills. If you leave a voicemail, the front desk calls you back 4ish days later. I've had to call the emergency line to get meds filled when I ran out. Dr.'s are amazing! Front desk personnel impede access to medical care and are border-line unethical. When I ran out of a script and the front desk finally called me back, she questioned why I was on the medication and whether or not I felt I actually needed it. I've been on this medication for 14 years. I asked her for her credentials in order to determine if what she was asking was appropriate for her level of medical knowledge and she had O. Get it together Elam! I've been coming to you for YEARS. Your front desk assistants are giving you a bad reputation and are incredibly rude. Patient satisfaction is their least concern.

The female doctor that I had there was amazing

This for people who have been on narcotics too long, rather legally or not. This place is for people who eventually want to quit narcotics, safety, and be reintroduced back into society as a functional, normal way of living.

This place has gone way down hill. I have been a patient for over 6 years. The Dr’s, Counselors and staff are very nice and I thought that they all actually cared about patients until today’s interactions. Oh and the wait times are getting ridiculous. My last appointment took almost 2 hours. Then today I needed to have a Tele-health visit because my radiator in my car needed replacing. I live over an hour away from my clinic. I have called 4 times since yesterday and still no one has returned my calls. I am always on time for appointments, take meds as prescribed. Don’t cause issues. Today has made me feel very uncared about. *** I wanted to do an edit to say that things have gotten so much better the last few months. I really appreciate the changes they have made and wanted people to know.

The Extra Mile is an extremely special place. The team is incredible and is supportive and works cohesively to provide care to every individual. They foster a sense of community and truly impact the lives of individuals on a personal level. I know some of the most amazing individuals both clients and staff alike who I have worked alongside through my journey at the mile and can say that each continue to impact my life on a daily basis in the most incredible ways. There’s a balance between structure and reflection to help individuals learn to have fun while being sober (this can be a scary and foreign thing to many in early recovery) while assisting in self-reflection and growth helping individuals connect through a combination of different treatment modalities tailoring to different learning styles too while also connecting to community, demonstrating what it means to have a support group, and offering time for exploration of self. Extra Mile Recovery is truly a special place. 💪🥰❤️

Such a beautiful campus with very genuine and caring staff who want to help you succeed and get better. I would highly recommend to anyone considering getting help for drug or alcohol addiction.

Called Journey pure at my lowest point in life and from the first day I called they helped me put myself back together, from therapy to medication to help myself stay sober. The entire staff from the lady answering the call on intake to the doctors and therapists, they all have your best interest in mind and are there to help and MAKE SURE you improve your quality of life with sobriety. Tim Byrum has been the greatest therapist anyone could ask for. I highly recommend him as a Therapist and Journey pure as a facility. I never thought i'd be at 31 days sober but here I am and IM PROUD OF IT!

The group therapist Tim Byrum is hands down the best group therapist this facility has. He goes above and beyond for the people in the group and I truly felt connected with the group and Tim when attending his group. I’ve tried other therapist at Journey pure but there wasn’t a lot of involvement with others and the connection and trust wasn’t there like it was with Tim. Journey pure has a true asset having Tim and other therapist there could really learn a lot from Tim. Groups with Tim felt like family lots of involvement you never felt alone and he really taught me a lot and made things easy to understand more so taught me to take a step back and look at the bigger picture and the knowledge I learned in just the few days I was in his group I will carry with me in this long journey of sobriety thank you Tim for everything!!
