I loved how up front she was. I learned alot. I did relapse in 2002 . My youngest son was killed and the emotional support wasn't here where I lived. Instead their was women in AA when I was in the state of shock was giving me zanxas. I wasn't a pill head after a year later I meet a man that drank and smoked pot not going to blame him . I stopped praying and putting my trust in God. Even blamed God so I wasn't spiritually fix to be around it. I stated drinking again . He was killed in 2001. My family that told Ms Jackie they was going to be there to help but they wasn't. They wouldn't babysit so I could work . So I was disappointed in them . I stopped drinking for about 2 years going on 3 now . Im really disappointed in myself just finding out my favorite person I should have went to talk to instead of the women here. I know she would have talked some since in my head. She was a rock and I looked up too her so very much. I won't ho yo AA here anymore. No one to trust at all. I really liked the fact that there were only a handful of other women there at all times. It felt like there was a lot less drama to have to worry about in comparison to other rehab centers. I had been thru SOME SHIT. To say the least. And I needed some help and guidance on how not only to better myself, but HEAL myself. And I tell you what. JACOA did that. Am I a completely healed human? Nope. Do I credit them for everything I've accomplished this far? Yes. Because THEY gave me the tools I needed. Every one of them. From the head honcho, down to the monitors every night taking us for chill breaks. I love them, to the core. Beth was an amazing counselor, and the rest of the counselors were awesome too. Kudos to a really great staff. To elaborate? They taught me how to handle my anxiety and my stress. Without booze. Without weed. Just myself. Learning to live sober, was probably one of the best adventures I've lived so far. Because that, was wild. I read ten books in 28 days. I hadn't picked up a book since my mother died, nearly 9 years prior. And I was an avid reader. I begged for the library keys, and eventually, I didn't have to beg. Janet listens well and is very kind and knowledgeable. Megan knew exactly what medicine I needed to help with my depression. Still working on finding a good anxiety med, but that’s ok. I’m still newish and working it out. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because it’s really hard to call and get an answer at the Summar Drive office. They really need more receptionists or someone who JUST answers the phone while the other receptionists check people in. That said, the North office is amazing at answering the phone and only has one receptionist. Brittney Mills 4 months ago This would probably be my go to place any time I'm suicidal again. Its amazing. You see a doctor daily and the environment is amazing. You can watch tv,or play board games or cards all day. You can literally sit on a phone call with someone all day,as long as you want. You can be in your room too all you want and relax,sleep more of you want. Food is amazing,and they make sure you're full. I went when there wasn't alot of people so they were constantly giving us seconds. Staff is sweet and chill. You can color or draw all day if you want. Sadly the showers were like luke warm or cold. But you can shower any time and as many times as you like. It felt like home. You can even wear your own clothes there and make sure to bring an abundance of clothing to wear and be washed daily. You can see a psychiatrist and doctor and all daily and i felt like they really listened and cared how i felt and helped me pave a way to success. And if i needed a med to try out it was easy to get approved for,such as an inhaler for my asthma or something to help me sleep better. Just tell them and they will try it out for you that night or the next. They also have coffee,which may appeal to others but not me,i dislike coffee. However I gave it 4 Stars because of the fact they have a certain amount of food they follow to feed the client and if you have no money you basically can't buy extra snacks or drinks from there vending machines.. no gyms, no pools, no treatment for trama, the nurses don't even check to make sure they are prescribed the medication correctly through out the day you have to go to your counselor to get anything done they don't believe you or have time to listen to the client.. Staff definitely could make some improvements.. as for cleaning or taking out the trash or even doing community service is all done by the client.. I stayed in White House til moved to Brick House we clients worked hard to keep it clean, safe and even welcoming to the New Members.. Truthfully everything is based on the Clients behavior and following the Structure Rules.. We are Addict's our life became unmanageable due to our addiction.. Having responsibility teach You how to get a solid foundation back in your life before you are discharged.. when you graduate they will help you get into a halfway house or sober living but the one they sent me to in Knoxville TN is definitely not a good place to go.. integrity halfway house is highly disgusting, creepy bedbug's, crappy hot water heater, $175 a week, and they don't even give a damn if you get back on your feet all they care about is how much money they are making off you nothing else matters.. anyway I hope this report helps you on making a decision on your Best interest William Watkins 4 months ago Went to Howenwald campus approx 12-27-22. wanted to stay on med assist so the sent me Clarksville campus. I had a peer that also came from howenwald was like 2 wks ahead of me. After 30 days i think you can work, have your vehicle, you keep your own meds 3days worth then4 days for a wk. They do count daily. When i first got to Clarksville, they help you with food stamps, you can get walmart groceries delivered. The house i was in was 1 of 3 in a cul de sac. about 15 min from office. Descent 3br 2 ba homes a few yrs old in typ subdivision. Counselors were very helpful and caring. The head lady was having an affair with a peer. The housing next to office are older and thats where they put u when u first get there. There were a few bugs at the 1 hse basement floor not infested. They had descent foam mattresses. All the houses i was in had smart tvs in lr. There were 2 fridges per hse and a dedicated stand up deep freeze. All in all had a very good experience. Still clean to this day 8/8/25. Havnt been to sub dr since oct or nov 24. Still have a few left. I tapered myself down i was on 2 a day in buff vall. Only took 1 or 1. 5. Last dr visit i was down to taking 1/4 or less. Take a small piece every other or 3 sometimes less. I recently lost my mom last month. It was definitely worth the time and effort to get clean so I could care for her the last cpl yrs. I give Buffalo Valley 2 middle fingers up. Probably owe them my life. And Thank You Brent Andrew Morgan, for the ride and helping me get in and even helping with clothes, underwears, and toiletries.
