Personally, I have had a good experience. I see other people in the reviews appear to have a different opinion. I understand because, Id say at least a year ago and longer, it was very hard to get someone to answer the phone. And Id just go into the office to ask them a question if I was already going to walmart. But they've gotten so much better. They're kind, respectful, and they work with you. The only reason I couldnt get in touch with anyone today is because of the icy roads and even someone from the Selmer office called me back because I called around to different offices. We're going to try and do a phone appointment. I recommend them, theyve been very helpful.

I see Youth Town as a very special place. Nobody plans to get stuck and trapped in addiction. But when you find yourself needing a place like Youth Town, and you're open to how your life can change for the better, the people at Youth Town will be such a shelter and a guide for you as you work on healing and growing.

There is a counselor there named Megan. I have seen her for years now to deal with my own issues. I've also been to several places before quinco. From a trust standpoint and trauma standpoint, she is the most trustworthy and deeper connecting person that I have ever seen in roughly 15 years of seeking mental health treatment. She doesn't make you feel judged. She doesn't make you feel uneasy. She lets you grow with her and open up as you feel the need to do so. I have seen ups and downs, and ups and downs, along the way. But I truly believe she has helped me more than anyone in my journey and growth besides God. Megan deserves whatever positive things come her way in the present and future.

Wonderful experience at this amazing facility. The cute and comfy rooms and sleeping areas were a place of security for me during my stay. The meals were so delicious and always had a sweet treat or snack available and best tasting water I’ve ever drank in my life. Staff were so loving and compassionate. Chasity and Jess were so understanding and I could relate to their stories and advice in a way I’ve never felt before. Chasity was the first person I ever felt sincerely heard, seen and understood with. She helped me realize the magnitude of the trauma and abuse I had experienced in my past but offered me so much hope for healing. Jess helped me realize a lot of the suffering in my mind I’ve been dealing with for so long would get better with time and we shared moments of hope and faith through our mutual beliefs in Jesus! Qwasi was one of the most genuine and realest person in recovery I’ve ever met. He would always meet me with his silly humor and his passion for recovery was so pure I couldn’t help but believe I could recover too. Kay reminded me of a mom who is just taking care of her family and I could see how much reward she gets just from taking care of the clients there. I loved her group sessions because she incorporated art therapy which I had forgotten how much I enjoyed until she introduced that way of coping. Kaylee was always so knowledgeable about the affects of drugs in our brain and bodies which put my mind at ease to know that I’m not crazy and I just need to to one day at a time. The nursing team always took care of my every complaint and address my issues as fast as possible. The group sessions were my favorite part of this experience. While I was at this facility I learned about myself and how much I really do have a passion for sobriety and recovery not only in myself but also for others especially women who have been through abuse as well. I would recommend Detox West TN to everyone.

I had a very good experience at JACOA. I really liked the fact that there were only a handful of other women there at all times. My name is Matt I completed the 28 day residential program on December 11th. Of this year (2024) and I must say it has been an amazing impact in my life and my early recovery, the staff there are amazing brandi, Amy,April thad, Donnie Brittany, Angelica ,beth ,terran, ( if im spelling it correctly lol) beth Gary and my counselor Patrick were all amazing, understanding, and above all they actually cared about each and every client. They are all very good people and are in recovery as well , they made my time there very easy and I cannot express my appreciation for all of them .. so long story short ,yes they have rules and structure but it's for your own benefit. I just wanted to say how grateful I am to have been send to jacoa in Jackson it truly saved my life .so thank you all! They always said that we do more for them than we can ever understand, but I think they are doing more for us as clients that we will never be able to repay them for . Thank you jacoa for all the love , advice , and for caring about each client that comes through the doors. I hope to see you all again soon maybe I could come and tell my story there in a year or so . I want to give back what was so freely given to me and help someone see just how much better life can be sober . Thank you again jacoa

I came in to JACOA in May of 2023. I had been thru SOME SHIT. To say the least. And I needed some help and guidance on how not only to better myself, but HEAL myself. And I tell you what. JACOA did that. Am I a completely healed human? Nope. Do I credit them for everything I've accomplished this far? Yes. Because THEY gave me the tools I needed. Every one of them. From the head honcho, down to the monitors every night taking us for chill breaks. I love them, to the core. Beth was an amazing counselor, and the rest of the counselors were awesome too. Kudos to a really great staff. To elaborate? They taught me how to handle my anxiety and my stress. Without booze. Without weed. Just myself. Learning to live sober, was probably one of the best adventures I've lived so far. Because that, was wild. I read ten books in 28 days. I hadn't picked up a book since my mother died, nearly 9 years prior. And I was an avid reader. I begged for the library keys, and eventually, I didn't have to beg. I was given them, because I proved I was responsible and could handle a door. It takes one door at a time, sometimes. And hey, the food wasn't too bad either!

I've been going here almost a year and I can only say good things about them. I've referred 3 people who are still in treatment and was referred from someone who'd been there for years. Mrs. Neely is, by far, the most genuine, compassionate people I've ever come across. Her job is not a job to her .. it's her calling and her passion is helping people. She understands that addiction is life and death and takes every concern and issue seriously. I've been less than a model patient and she has stood by me and pushed me to be a better me week after week. She's truly a blessing. Ms. Amy is my counselor and she's so precious. I'm able to be totally honest with her and feel comfortable coming to her with anything, knowing I will be understood instead of judged. The dosing staff are all attentive and make you feel welcome and try to get you in and out quickly as possible. And last but definitely not least, Mrs. Gayle at the front desk is the bees knees.. she's helped me sort thru insurance issues and helped me numerous times when I've forgotten something important and keeps my ADHD brain on track w appointments and reminders.. even calling a day before important appointments and reminding me. I truly can't say enough good things about this clinic. This was my first time seeking treatment like this and I was terrified and had no idea what to expect and was blown away at the level of concern and lack of judgement every single time I was less than perfect. If you need help, please please don't hesitate to call or come in.. they won't let you down!

I love Megan (Summar Drive) and Janet (North Jackson). Janet listens well and is very kind and knowledgeable. Megan knew exactly what medicine I needed to help with my depression. Still working on finding a good anxiety med, but that’s ok. I’m still newish and working it out. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because it’s really hard to call and get an answer at the Summar Drive office. They really need more receptionists or someone who JUST answers the phone while the other receptionists check people in. That said, the North office is amazing at answering the phone and only has one receptionist.

This would probably be my go to place any time I'm suicidal again. Its amazing. You see a doctor daily and the environment is amazing. You can watch tv,or play board games or cards all day. You can literally sit on a phone call with someone all day,as long as you want. You can be in your room too all you want and relax, sleep more of you want. Food is amazing, and they make sure you're full. I went when there wasn't alot of people so they were constantly giving us seconds. Staff is sweet and chill. You can color or draw all day if you want. Sadly the showers were like luke warm or cold. But you can shower any time and as many times as you like. It felt like home. You can even wear your own clothes there and make sure to bring an abundance of clothing to wear and be washed daily. You can see a psychiatrist and doctor and all daily and i felt like they really listened and cared how i felt and helped me pave a way to success. And if i needed a med to try out it was easy to get approved for, such as an inhaler for my asthma or something to help me sleep better. Just tell them and they will try it out for you that night or the next. They also have coffee, which may appeal to others but not me,i dislike coffee. You do have to be in your rooms by ten pm i believe, but you don't have to be asleep, just in your room.

Huge shout-out to Sheneka at the front desk for going above and beyond for me. When I had a sudden change in my insurance status, she addressed my situation promptly and efficiently. Even though she doesn't personally handle insurance or medications, she took the initiative to immediately find the right person to take care of my needs. Her excellent communication and helpful attitude are greatly appreciated!

TIFFANY!!! The most helpful, sweet, and empathetic woman I’ve ever met. She’s the receptionist, and the only reason I don’t want to break ties with this establishment. Her smile brightens up the room, and her people skills are truly remarkable. She’s spoken to me on the phone and helped when no one else would. Just someone who genuinely cares about her position and you can tell! Keep up your beautiful work, Tiffany!! <3

My husband and I are pleased with the results for our granddaughter. It took less than the original estimated time. We have our girl back and the worries are much lower. I will probably always look for signs of a relapse but I really feel she learned many new coping skills that she can use for the rest of her life. Thanks to all the Doctors, Therapists and staff. I know it was not an easy transition. She fought it for half of her stay. Bless all of you.

I am KaNiya White, and I consider myself a proud Compass veteran. I attended Compass PHP five times between the ages of 14 and 18 between 2021 and 2025. Compass truly helped shape who I am today. I often say I grew up there because many staff members knew me across multiple admissions and continued to support me. At times, it genuinely felt like a second family. PHP is not perfect. The days are long, there is limited outdoor time, frequent peer conflict, and you spend much of the day in the same spot. You are often expected to ignore peers who intentionally provoke you, group punishments can feel unfair, and the schoolwork is very basic, which can leave you behind academically. There were also a few staff members who were unprofessional at times, though they were NOT the majority. What mattered most was the support. Many staff members were a genuine shoulder to cry on during some of the hardest moments of my life. I've had deep, life changing one on one conversations with staff who truly cared about me as a person. I trusted them deeply and they know things about me that even my parents do not. I genuinely do not think I would be alive today without the help I received at Compass. I want to recognize staff who played an important role in my life. Mrs. Khalia, Nurse Nayla, Nurse Shylo, Mrs. Whitney, Mrs. Loreda, Mrs. T, Mr. Travis, Mr. Zach, Mrs. V, Mrs. Tatianna, Mrs. Holloway, Mrs. Debra, Mr. Michael, Mrs. Katelyn, Nurse Connie, Mrs. Braden, Mrs. Kendra, Mrs. Kurshi, Mrs. Tamika, and Mrs. Trenika. Some no longer work there, but they deserve recognition for the impact they had on me. My therapist, Mr. Zach, had the greatest impact. He never gave up on me, pushed me out of my comfort zone in a healthy way, and helped me find my voice. He challenged me when I needed it and supported me when things were hard. He was the best therapist I have ever had. Despite its flaws, PHP also had meaningful positives. Step aways to talk privately with staff, process groups which were my favorite, the reward and Victory Bucks system, occasional art activities for victory members, and respect for preferred names and pronouns. When I first came to Compass at 14, I was shy, withdrawn, and unsure of myself. When I left for the final time at 18, I had confidence, stronger coping skills, motivation to live, and had worked through my trauma. Compass inspired me to pursue psychology. I am now in college majoring in Psychology and working toward becoming an LPC, and I hope one day to give back the way Compass once gave to me by being an intern there somehow. Overall, I am grateful for my time at Compass and for how much I grew there.
