The only complaint I have is when I call to reschedule my appointment, I can never get anyone on the phone, and can never get a call back. The therapist whom I saw was very nice and allowed me to have free will with how I speak, which is a good thing but also can be a bad thing too! Because I do have a potty mouth and it's something I can't help. Sorry but it is not that I don't like it there I'm really not sure it's what I'm looking for at the moment, but you have given me a little bit of hope that is going to help me out in the long run. We'll just have to wait and see.

I came in to JACOA in May of 2023. I had been thru SOME SHIT. To say the least. And I needed some help and guidance on how not only to better myself, but HEAL myself.
And I tell you what. JACOA did that. Am I a completely healed human? Nope. Do I credit them for everything I've accomplished this far? Yes. Because THEY gave me the tools I needed. Every one of them. From the head honcho, down to the monitors every night taking us for chill breaks. I love them, to the core. Beth was an amazing counselor, and the rest of the counselors were awesome too. Kudos to a really great staff.
To elaborate? They taught me how to handle my anxiety and my stress. Without booze. Without weed. Just myself. Learning to live sober, was probably one of the best adventures I've lived so far. Because that, was wild. I read ten books in 28 days. I hadn't picked up a book since my mother died, nearly 9 years prior. And I was an avid reader.
I begged for the library keys, and eventually, I didn't have to beg. I was given them, because I proved I was responsible and could handle a door.
It takes one door at a time, sometimes.
And hey, the food wasn't too bad either!

JACOA was so amazing I went there twice!! I had been a chronic relapse for 20 years and the last treatment center I ever had Tn go to was JACOA!! That says a lot about who they are as a substance abuse program. The staff met me where I was in my journey with compassion and kindness ,because most of them had their own personal story of recovery. They got me! They really understood me!! They went above and beyond quarterbacking my care all the way to safe housing when I graduated the program. If you or a loved one are suffering with alcohol or substance abuse issues call JACOA! They will take care of you!

I really enjoyed my therapist, Michel Allen. She is a really compassionate and sweet woman. She has impeccable patience, is really understanding, and cares deeply about her job and clients. I went here several years ago and this place changed my life and probably saved my life. Been clean ever since. I had to write a review after reading all the bad reviews. Which most I think are just people who didn't get their way, or people who don't like following rules. When I first went here, I was court ordered and didn't want to be there. But as soon as I arrived I felt a sense of peace, and I felt welcome. I learned a lot here, about myself, and learned how to deal with life on life's terms. The counselor I had years ago, Miss Brenda, is still there and she was amazing. And, the food there was amazing too! I was under weight when I got there, and gained almost 40 pounds in a month and a half!! Like any rehab facility, it's only going to work if you really want it to work. You have to be open to change, and let the people here teach you. There are rules, and the first 7 days is a blackout. So no phone calls for that first week. I ended up staying here for 6 weeks and I am forever grateful to Serenity. I hope I would never need their services again, but if I did, I would go back there in a heartbeat! And I would highly recommend Serenity to anyone who needs treatment. Remember, it works if you want it to. And if you are really ready to change your way of life. Go in with an open mind, and a willingness to change and learn. Like I said, I am FOREVER grateful to Serenity!!

The techs here are amazing and the staff goes above and beyond to make sure that you have everything that you need. The houses are super comfortable and are a recovering addicts dream. This place most definitely helps recovering addicts and alcoholics get the level of care, support, and supervision that they need. This place has helped to slowly integrate me into society and helps to teach you how to live again without drugs and alcohol to function.

Pax recovery .i myself have been here going on me a month now .And it's a good program .I would recommend it to others .We do attend groups daily and do go to out side meeting .They are very careing and strong with our recovery .Our choices and wants actaully matter here to them and they will go out there way to make it happen for us.They do provide food card to us .N they will help you get food stamps .The houseing is amazing and the people here are cool .I haven't had any issuse while being here.The techs here have been in our shoes and wants nothing but the best from us .Thos is a great program and o came from Florida to be here .I haven't used or had any THOUGTHS of using .I would recommend this program .And there willing to help you once your ready to leave .They go above and beyond for us .All are very respectful .Go here if you need help .But like every good days you may have bad days and there are many to talk to here weather it's a tech or us ours selfs.

This place helped me when I had a traumatic experience dealing with a sudden company shut down and other PTSD from family / relationship issues. Ivy Trails and the staff there were very compassionate and skilled at helping me navigate my feelings and medication adjustments. I am forever grateful and blessed to have chosen to go there for help. I highly recommend anyone who struggles with any type of mental illness disorders or other traumatic events to consider coming to Parkwood for help. Life is unpredictable and too much for people to handle all alone at times. Too often people think mental illness is not real or that the person suffering from mental crisis is too hard to understand or be around. I know from experience. If you are reading this and it sounds familiar please do not hesitate seeking help; it’s not something to be ashamed of. You don’t have to be alone in your struggles.

I was last here in 2021. I just got out again and this time they have an all women's unit in a cottage like set up. I honestly had the best most fulfilling stabilization process at Ivy Trails. The smoking patio was very nice. The living area and dining area were very nice. It felt more like a camping cottage with help. I was phenomenal being able to talk to other women and get that female support in a safe controlled environment. Also the techs and miss Marquita (the therapist on Ivy) are phenomenal. If you follow the rules and have patience and actually want to get a lot out of your stay you'll do well here. Even when I was briefly on north (men are a trigger and I was scared) the techs were great. But if you're a woman and need a safe place Ivy is where you need to be. Also huge shout outs to Rachael, Tanya, Natalie and Tamika. This experience was invaluable and now I know where to go if I ever reach crisis again.

This place changed my life! Ivy Trails is an awesome program. Shout out to Tonya, Tracy, Jamie and Brittany. You guys made my dark days brighter. Downfalls would be that at times your treated like a child and there were a couple of staff that were downright rude. But all in all I highly recommend Ivy Trails!

I have been going too spero health for almost 3 years and i really do love coming here. I could stay home and do this online but because this place is as great as it is id rather drive 45 / 50 minutes too come here. The doctor is amazing, the staff is so nicely characterized.
