Known as “Music City", Nashville, Tennessee, is an epicenter for country music and is home to Cumberland Heights Treatment Center. Since 1966, this private rehab has provided a full continuum of care for adults and adolescents struggling with addiction and co-occurring disorders. Whether you need 24/7 structured support or can live at home and a
Only place in this part of the country that could help me. Had to come from over 200mi away because everywhere else had "doctors" in their early 20s that shouldn't even be allowed to practice at a rinky-dink medicine wagon show. If you're an especially stupid kind of addict like me, that uses substances too new for street names then you need to be aware that CH is one of maybe 3 places in the country that does actual research on addiction & novel substances of abuse. So they can and will do everything that is medically legal - regardless of bulls*** protocols - to properly detox YOU & save your life. In addition to the medical staff, the counselors, CAs, therapists and other staff were all wonderful. Special shout-outs to Natalie , Ed, Eddy, big John, Amanda, Deana, Jack (happy retirement!), Dr. Z, Dr. Sledge, so many others. Patient-staff ratio felt like 4:1 though it's probably not quite that high. Small-group or 1-on-1 therapy sessions almost every day. You can call family every day once detoxed, and might be able to have a visitation. You also get an hour with your mobile phone every 2-3 days. They hand you a tablet for appts/notes that also allows access to YT, being able to play music on headphones was a big deal for me.It's an expensive place, especially if your insurance is trash but it's worth every penny. First time I was here I stayed clean 11 years, second time they helped me pinpoint exactly where I screwed up and now I know how to stay clean the rest of my life.

The staff here are amazing! The depth of recovery knowledge and length of sobriety were life saving. So many loving people in one center made me feel incredibly supported. Getting sober is incredibly frightening in so many ways. And i couldn't have asked for a better experience. I'm a little over 8 months sober now and extremely grateful for my new life.

This place has gone way down hill. I have been a patient for over 6 years. The Dr s, Counselors and staff are very nice and I thought that they all actually cared about patients until today s interactions. Oh and the wait times are getting ridiculous. My last appointment took almost 2 hours. Then today I needed to have a Tele-health visit because my radiator in my car needed replacing. I live over an hour away from my clinic. I have called 4 times since yesterday and still no one has returned my calls. I am always on time for appointments, take meds as prescribed. Don t cause issues. Today has made me feel very uncared about.*** I wanted to do an edit to say that things have gotten so much better the last few months. I really appreciate the changes they have made and wanted people to know.

One of the best experiences I had was at Samaritan. Mr. Tim was director then and the staff was like family and the counselor were understanding and very helpful to your needs. The new building looks like things have improved I just hope they don't take away the lil park and the gazebo. I touched and prayed and sang with and for alot of people in that Peace Park.

I completed the 28 day program offered by Samaritan Recovery Jan 16, 2025.It is my 3rd treatment experience since 2002.I cannot say enough to express my gratitude for Samaritan but I am going try. First, they accepted me and others without insurance and at no cost to me. That s a minor miracle in today s world. I am 55 and Clients ages during my stay ranged in age 19-60. A good mix which created a unique environment. We had 12 step meetings each night on site and coffee each morning. All required to finish steps 1.2.3 before completing program. The staff was excellent!! Low tolerance for unhealthy behaviors and held us accountable without being unnecessarily authoritative. Then intake process was easy and admin staff was polite, knowledgeable and professional. The Samaritan facility/building is new, clean and first class. I does not resemble any nonprofit inpatient treatment center nor operate like any I ve ever seen.I received Individual counseling, valuable and interesting small group sessions facilitated daily by a designated counselor who cared. In speaking with other clients over 28 days I do not hear any complaint about their counselors either. They all also facilitate large group sessions in afternoon and I can say they were excellent and also showed that they cared about us and our growth and recovery .The food service/chef/cafeteria fed 35-43 clients 3 meals each day. All meals were very good, well balanced and of wide variety which was also a very pleasant surprise. The groups that were facilitated in afternoons were well designed, specific to and for people in early recovery and tooicsRelated to addiction and co occurring disorders. All facilitators were licensed professionals and 95% of staff is in recovery with long term success, decades of experience.Samaritan also has daily , morning meditation for all clients who wish to engage. It s proven to help those with addictions and co occurring disorders so I was very happy they facilitate daily meditation. A few minutes each day changed each day for the positive for me .The recovery, behavioral Technical support staff that managed clients needs was 24/7.All of them were actively in recovery themselves so they understood us. I believe all tech, support staff had close to or more than 10 years sobriety. They were patient, attentive and knowledgeable. Very Respectful and cared about the clients needs. That says a lot given fact that 40 people, all of whom were in Early recovery. Me included, Clients can be very hard to manage, and that s an understatement. Support staff was truly the glue that held us together.Samaritan also has fullTime clinical staff on site and Although I didn t have a lot of clinical needs I will say that clinical director director, medical physician and all nursing staff were very attentive on a daily basis for clients who required medications, check ups or medical requests. Again excellent staff. Very qualified and steady.Personally and without hesitation I can say that I had a great experience ant Samaritan.I came in shattered and broken and I left 28 days later hopeful, renewed and optimistic. I highly recommend this facility and their 28 day program. Lastly, I was also surprised that they have transitional sober living on site and after care programs. And Two things I really took advantage of in my free time was the music / sun room and small library.Amazing and so surprising given that Samaritan is a non profit. My experience and thier program is also clear and strong reflection of great donors and highly qualified executive staff. If your curious how it happened - My story went like this .I called, did assessment over the phone and 24 hours later I was picked up at a hotel near brick church and trinity lane .I was desperate and ready for a new life after havjng relapsed about 3 months earlier. Samaritan gave me every opportunity and more to build a strong foundation for long term sobriety. Truly grateful and cannot say enough about The programs and support I received at Samaritan Recovery..

I had a great counselor and amazing head rt lady's. Not to mention the front desk lady's. But I'm sensing a change with this new building it seems there more worried about there numbers being up than true recovery I guess that happens when the head people that don't even talk or come by to see the people in recovery run things. They seem more focused on painting a pretty picture in there numbers rather than that authentic spirit you could feel in the old samaritan. And if that is what is really transpiring than what a loss and such a disappointment. Greed kills the soul!

Brentwood Springs Detox is a leading drug and alcohol detox center in the south eastern part of Nashville, Tennessee.. The goal is to help you wean off addiction related toxins from your body and get it ready for the main therapy. Their medically supervised detox program helps you safely and effectively manage the physical symptoms of withdrawal.
I took a loved one here for detox, and an extended stay. The staff (while following all legal procedures) treated my family member with respect and empathy. The staff treat them like people, NOT like patients. They re accommodating and helpful. The facility is safe, comfortable, well maintained, and equipped to be a hospital without the irredentist lights and straight jackets.

I have been there twice wants to get a EMG for my nerves the second to see the neurologist. Got there an hour early after making a 2-hour trip. And I was told that the window by the receptionist that the doctor had emergency surgery and that would be a few hours late I explained to him that I had drove 2 hours to get there I was an hour early could they not help me some way. The receptionist went to the nurse the nurse talked to me the nurse took me to the resident Doctor who had spoke to previously and he addressed my issues prescribed me some medications and told me my primary doctor would have to prescribe them. He sent that to the primary care doctor after 2 weeks of running around talking to the nurse the nurse the doctor or whatever I don't think I still had a prescription wrote yet I'm absolutely upset that I had to wait this long being in pain for 5 weeks I've had one procedure at the pain management in community care and I got another one tomorrow the 10th of November I hope to get some relief. Again let me get back to the Nashville VA I went down the patient advocate and highly recommended that everyone that I was talking to that morning be recognized for the outstanding abilities I even advised the patient advocate he should get something while at the same time saying that I had went to the Murfreesboro VA emergency room urgent care and while there the nurse did not do his job and told him today and they know the day that I was there to go back and look at the video camera that was in the room and see what he did in order so that the 80 year old people will not get abused.

Been going since Oct 29, 2020, and am SO thankful they started taking TennCare. That was my last "excuse" I couldn't pay for both(drugs and the weekly fee), so I promised my family when they started taking my insurance I would go. Now, they do start you on a low dose, but it's for your safety and they move you up decently fast. They have gotten so much better in the 4 years I have been going. The staff now is much more caring than when I first started. Without them, I would probably be dead. I have been able to go on several vacations, do things with my family I wasn't able to do while on drugs, and enrolled in college to obtain my Associates Degree in Medical Billing and Coding. I send everyone I can there, and the ones that want to change have thanked me for sending them. If you truly want to get clean, they will help you. It's not easy, it is a process, and you have to put in the work, but BHG will do everything within the laws and statutes to assist you!

This is an update to my review from a year ago. I tried a different treatment facility recently and was treated like most people in society treat addicts - like a lost cause. I decided to come back to Spero and Shae got me an appointment for the very next day!! They treat you like a human being and not just $$. I m a single mother and on days I can t get a babysitter they happily let my child come with me. It s like one big family and I m so blessed to be a part of it. People who are complaining about the financial aspect, please remember this is still a business and people have to be paid to do their job and keep the place running. What they charge is nothing compared to all the money I spent when I was in active addiction. After being there 3 years I still stand by my 5 star rating. The staff is absolutely amazing!! Without Shae, that place would be lost bc she goes above and beyond to help people in recovery. Doug, my counselor is awesome too. I recently started seeing Dr. Ross and cannot say enough great things about him. He treats you like a person rather than just another addict and he truly wants to see his patients succeed. As long as you do what you re supposed to do, they will help you stay sober. The only complaints I have are that I wish there was a location closer to my side of town (West Nashville). Coming here was one of the best things I ever did for myself and now I have been sober for almost 2 years!! It works if you work it (I m so not the type to use clichs or anything but for real)

Had labs drawn at this location. As soon as i checked in my name was called. Very friendly lab tech. On the way out, the front desk gave me a parking decal to put in my window for next time (second level parking is sectioned off for Veterans) and she also gave me a sticker that paid for my parking time.

This was my very first visit to the VA. I was a little apprehensive with all the stories in the news are care at the VA, etc. I have to admit, I was very surprised. From check in at the desk to check out when I was done, this location treated me with respect and it was obvious they were concerned for my health care. The staff and doctor I encountered could not have been better! They were truly cared about my health and made sure I had any tests I needed. I want to say thank you to everyone there who made my first visit a pleasant experience.

I had the privilege of visiting this treatment center in Nashville, TN, and I cannot say enough about the level of care, professionalism, and dedication I experienced. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate, and truly invested in the well-being of each individual. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and supported by a team that clearly prioritizes healing and long-term success. The facility itself is clean, well-maintained, and designed to foster a sense of safety and serenity. They offer a wide range of healing modalities, including breathwork and Kali sticks, an EMDR-inspired treatment that provides a unique and effective approach to trauma processing. With trained therapists available for both group and individual therapy, I felt that every aspect of treatment was handled with intentionality and expertise. I also saw the individualized treatment planning while fostering group cohesion and autonomy amidst people in program. One of the aspects that stood out most to me was their commitment to continuity of care. Their alumni program ensures that individuals who complete residential treatment continue receiving support, rather than feeling abandoned once they transition out. This ongoing engagement speaks volumes about their dedication to long-term recovery. Many of my current clients who have visited other treatment centers have reported feeling abandoned by other facilities, but this facility is designed with follow-up protocols in place.Additionally, their focus on nutrition and dietary needs is exceptional. Regardless of someone's dietary restrictions or preferences, there is flexibility for them to meet a variety of dietary needs/concerns. With a specialized team addressing eating disorders and co-occurring conditions, they provide a well-rounded approach to healing that considers both physical and mental well-being. Their expertise spans intimacy disorders, substance use disorders, and treatment for depression, anxiety, and trauma. It s evident that this center operates with great care and intentionality. Every aspect of their program is thoughtfully designed to support healing, and I highly recommend them to anyone seeking a compassionate, professional, and well-rounded treatment experience.

My experience at ILC was life-changing, without a doubt. I attended the in-patient program for 28 days, then transitioned to PHP and ultimately IOP over the following two months. The staff, facilities, and environment at each level were all top-notch. ILC s wholistic, trauma-based approach offered a multitude of tools and strategies to live a happier and healthier life moving forward. I don t have one bad thing to say about ILC, and I would highly recommend their program to anyone looking to transform their life.

Can t say enough great things about ILC. A close relative attended Residential and PHP, and it was a game-changer for him. From the very proactive and caring staff (Admissions to Case Managers to Therapists, especially Greg, Liz, Lindsay, Cheryl, Dave, Declan) to the top-notch experiential therapy to the compassion and caring of fellow patients, my relative gained so much from attending ILC - quite frankly, I believe it saved his life. Thank you so much ILC family - will always remember and be grateful for your compassion, experience, expertise and support.

I was admitted to Adult 2 at Vanderbilt psychiatric hospital in a month. I was very suicidal and really needed the support of nurses, doctors, and social services. I appreciated all the staff during both of my stays except one. A charge nurse for afternoon shift of Adult 2 treated me like a second-rated person both of my stays! If it wasn't for, I would rate Vanderbilt psychiatric hospital as 5 stars. I was told to go to my room and don't come out until morning. I was refused sitting in the hallway recliners. I needed the recliner for a recent knee surgery. Sitting in the Activity room was intolerable. I was nervous around the TV and not being able to sleep in my room. I will not return to Vanderbilt psychiatric hospital Adult 2.

I was admitted to the adolescent unit here for self harm a couple months ago, I've been to many psychiatric hospitals but this was the best I've ever been to.when you first arrive the staff are very communicative with you, they tell you everything that will be going on and what to expect etc. they are very respectful of preferred names and pronouns, I am nonbinary and they roomed me with another nonbinary which was very comforting.the rooms are very nice, we were allowed to go to our rooms whenever as long as you inform a nurse, visitors were allowed in your room as well and could bring you outside food as long as it wasn't caffeine or alcohol. not the cleanest rooms, lots of writings on the walls but that's to be expected at any mental facility. the beds were very comfortable, not your typical hardly bearable mental hospital mattresses. the windows were also clear so you could see outside into the city and watch helicopters fly over to the children's hospital.the days did not feel boring at all, we watched movies, played games, they gave us our own journals and crayons and fidgets to play with as well. they had a sensory room with a huge variety of things to regulate with. Mr. Jeremy (?) would play his guitar sometimes and we'd sing songs together, and some nurses would play music for you on their phone if you asked (although this depended on how busy they were and who you asked, Ms. Cat was always happy to play music for me)the food was amazing, they had soft drinks and a variety of condiments and fresh fruits, special diets options were all unique and very well made too. they had 3-4 snack times where we could pick out two snacks and a drink, they even had the good soft ice that everyone loved.there a few acuities while I was there and they were all handled extremely well, staff knew how to properly restrain and talk to patients and didn't hold them in the quiet room for an unnecessarily long time like many places do, they also didn't immediately resort to restraining or "booty juice" they actually gave you some time to try to regulate yourself and work through it.a few issues with nurses and staff, one of my self harm wounds that I came in with wasn't properly cared for one day despite me and other patients asking the nurses for help, there was also one nurse that kept rudely barging into my phone calls which we got twice a day for about 15-30 mins. there was one really bad incident where a younger boy was being bullied by a older boy and the staff didn't do anything until me and a couple other patients asked the staff if they could put the older boy on unit restriction because the bullying was ruining our group and gym times (which they eventually put him on room restriction).overall this place was very safe and it never felt like a prison, I wouldn't recommend for high risk as it's definitely more for lower risk patients but my experience here was wonderful.

Vanderbilt is the absolute best Psychiatric treatment we found for our daughter. If you have any concerns about the hospital or the care you would receive there, please be assured that the Doctors and Nurses and everyone you will see has the utmost caring, kindness and compassion for you and your loved ones. We had several bad experiences in Arkansas and brought our daughter to Vanderbilt seeking help and answers. We received the best care on unit 1 from Dr. Fall, nurse Jon and all the nursing staff and the behavioral health specialists. They go the extra mile to assist the patients and their families. Everyone is doing their best in what are for the most part very difficult situations for each patient and each family as we try to wade through psychological stress and trauma that society for the most part seems to shun and place a stigma on. My viewpoint on psychiatric care was flipped on its head by the unbelievable level of care and concern expressed by Vanderbilts staff. I had not seen this level of care at any hospital other than Arkansas Children s Hospital. Thank you Dr. Fall, Dr. Smith and the entire team at Vanderbilt for giving us our daughter back.

Dr. Rothschild is the psychologist that first treated me and got me my 100% VA rating for ptsd, depression and anxiety. She is very good at her job, attentive, caring and understanding. I would say I would highly recommend her, but from my understanding she has now gone into more specialized sleep disorders medicine.
