Caring for the mentally ill has to be one of the most difficult services to perform, wouldn't you think? I sure do. From what I saw yesterday, I am very glad that Trustpoint is willing to take on such a difficult task. The place was as "clean as a whistle." The staff was very knowledgeable about their procedures. All the girls at the house are wonderful, if someone is removed, they absolutely deserved it for repeated disruptive behavior. She had been dealing with depression, anxiety, and emotional exhaustion for a long time, and as her husband, it was heartbreaking to watch her try to carry everything on her own. TRUE gave her a place where she felt supported, understood, and respected. The women’s program helped her open up in a way she had not been able to before. The staff treated her with compassion and professionalism, and they helped her work through the things that had been weighing on her for years. I started noticing changes as she continued in treatment. She seemed more hopeful, more confident, and more connected to herself and our family. She learned healthier ways to manage anxiety, communicate what she needed, and take care of herself without feeling guilty for needing support. I am incredibly grateful for TRUE and the care they provided my wife. Their women’s program gave her the structure, encouragement, and tools she needed to begin healing. People have been saved from the powers of Drug addiction, obsessive behaviors, destructive lifestyles, Wrong beliefs about who they are, marraiges restored, families healed and that which may be holding you back from who you can become when your life is "on Target". To truly be the people GOD wants us to be isn't impossible or unrealistic! It isn't about what we "do", it's discovering who we "are" and believing in what we "Have" and what's been done ! Restoration and recovery is Not something you earn or a road map you must follow...I learned this after multiple failed attempts and looking for answers using nearly all the traditional methods. Some provided temporary results in my behavior but I seemed to go back to bad habits, no matter what recovery program I tried. Only the tools and wisdom gained through this ministry and their understanding of GOD through Jesus showed lasting results. I discovered areas of my life that were unhealthy that I didn't even recognize and we are all a work in progress and can be set free from the law of sin waging war in our hearts and minds and be transformed. My experience at Brentwood Springs was amazing for the most part. I only had problems with one particular nurse who refused to give me medication that the doctor had already ordered, causing me to be in withdrawal for three days from a medication that I had no plans on stopping. Apparently, she had her own personal reasons for not wanting to give me my medication. She felt like I shouldn’t be taking it to begin with??? Once a more experienced nurse came in, though she took care of it and fixed the problem. The entire staff is kind and caring. The medication’s are very customized to each individual. When I felt like I was getting sick they extended my taper to make sure that I was not uncomfortable. The meals are catered or homemade. The kitchen pantry is stocked as well as the refrigerator and freezer. There are plenty of drinks and snacks including juice and fruit. I was able to reach out to my family on a regular basis and was given great advice about aftercare. I would recommend them to anyone seeking help in recovery. Daye 4 months ago I'd give out 10 stars if I could. I checked into to Brentwood Springs Detox without knowing how great it would be. I found them on the internet and pulled the trigger. They drove an hour to pick me up free of charge. Upon checking it they greeted me with an understanding of my situation. This helped put my mind at ease as I was already overwhelmed with stress of checking into a Detox center. They are very attentive of how you're feeling and immediately come up with a game plan for treatment. They are very professional in every aspect with your treatment and are open to you at all times if you are feeling a certain type of way, but at the same time every staff member is super laxed. The nurses are amazing and are available to you 24 hours a day. You can tell that they truly want to help you. I don't feel out of place here. The food is great, the people are great, and the way they have this place set up makes it feel like you are at home. They have tv's with all kinds of apps and cable. The whole place is clean and well kept. The rooms are clean. The meetings they set up are absolutely amazing and have helped me tremendously. They have a beautiful backyard with great views which is crucial to your feeling of well being (at least for me) Cameron is great as well. In the 3 days that I've been here he's given me tons of knowledge and advice and has made sure to check up on me and how I'm feeling. Again, the whole staff truly wants to help you. You can talk to them at all times about anything and they will all completely understand. I would recommend this place to anybody I know that needs help, and hopefully this review will help all of you who are searching the best place to help you and everything you are going through.
