Being part of a group allows you to look at yourself closer. We were all different but yet still there for the same reason. Staff was great and honest and always fair. She was extremely supportive, welcoming, and helpful throughout our conversation. Her professionalism and kindness made a positive impression. Allison, Receptionist, was also very sincere, professional, and polite. She was very pleasant from the time I walked in the door, not to mention she gave me the correct visitation time and demonstrated a genuine willingness to assist. I would also like to recognize Courtney, Social Worker, for taking the time to personally come and speak with me. She explained the discharge treatment plan and made sure I understood the information. I truly appreciated her communication and willingness to take the time to address my questions. Overall, I am grateful for the staff members who demonstrated compassion, professionalism, and a commitment to providing good customer service. Area for Improvement: One concern I experienced was with the telephone system. On several occasions, someone would answer the phone and then hang up without speaking. Additionally, when I did call back the automated message stated that all staff were busy and instructed caller to press 1 for reception. This made it somewhat difficult to reach someone when assistance was needed. Improving the telephone response process and ensuring callers are connected appropriately would enhance the overall experience. Positivity 1 week ago they did have group therapy sessions. I'm glad I had the services. I'm not certain the social worker helped me. I did feel like I was in a jail. Yesterday, I had the opportunity to visit her, there. She was in really good spirits, elated to see her brother, her mom, and me. (Just sayin- I am the fun one.😉) She is being well cared for and their system of visitor management is very tight. As it should be. Caring for the mentally ill has to be one of the most difficult services to perform, wouldn't you think? I sure do. From what I saw yesterday, I am very glad that Trustpoint is willing to take on such a difficult task. The place was as "clean as a whistle." The staff was very knowledgeable about their procedures. They were courteous, helpful while at the same time there was an atmosphere of firmness. A good firmness. This Veterans Outpatient Clinic is convenient for me to access because it's not far from where I live. I like to go see my Care Provider here for my medical follow-ups. I usually get in and out fairly quickly. The nurses are friendly and very professional. There is a on sight lab here for me to get my lab work requirements done. I normally go to see my Veterans Affairs Doctor every 6 months. The parking area is efficient and I normally don't have any problems finding a place to park my vehicle. I have been going to the Veterans Affairs Outpatient Clinic located at 1919 Charlotte Ave in Nashville Tennessee for a few years now. However on occasion it's a little hard to find a place to park. All of that to say, I give a shout-out to the social work intern, Alex. You did a good job listening to my concerns and finding someone who could help me. I am hopeful for the future at the moment. I will still go on to continue my schooling. But, I am still a work in progress. I’ve unfortunately been back and forth a few times which makes healing feel so frustrating but I never feel shamed by the staff for having to come back. I always hope I never go back but I don’t feel like I can’t if I need to which I am grateful for. However, I have been told by a nurse that only losers attempt to take their life, been laughed at for crying during a strip search with the door open, and been told to basically just work harder or figure things out while in still a state of crisis. I would still go back but these things and sometimes not feeling heard make me hesitant. From check in at the desk to check out when I was done, this location treated me with respect and it was obvious they were concerned for my health care. I was a little nervous at the beginning because I'd be living with 7-8 other guys in recovery and if there would be any systems and organization in place. Needless to say, this program helped me out so much. It was the safest, most comfortable, most encouraging world I had the privilege to be a part of for 4 weeks. In the PHP house, EVERYTHING is labeled. Everyone has their own space to store items and food. The lunch food is incredible, even for vegetarians (I'm not one but saw other guys who were content). The RA's are professional, accommodating, and very knowledgeable about recovery and what support looks like, even during the weekends. The morning and afternoon therapy sessions are intentional and grounding. There's also so many early morning and evening recovery meetings (AA, SAA, SLAA. ACA, Dharma) 5-15 minutes nearby the ILC location, making recovery even more accessible outside of the normal schedule. I can't thank you all enough for providing me the help I needed to continue recover and repair my marriage. THANK YOU ILC! They don’t just treat you like another patient—they take the time to understand your story, meet you where you are, and help you build the tools you need to move forward. Every group session, individual therapy session, and interaction with the staff contributed to my growth in some way. I learned healthier coping skills, gained a better understanding of myself, and left with so much more hope and confidence than I had when I arrived. Every therapist, tech, nurse, and staff member truly cares about the clients and goes above and beyond to make sure everyone feels supported.
