I truly wanted to get on here and thank Ashley and Dr. Hill for their outstanding customer service. I work for the Department of Children's Services. It is known that our job is very unpredictable and our clients sometimes need attended to at a short notice. I attended journey pure at the river from 1-21-25-2-21-25 during them 30 days these people made me feel so welcomed from the time I arrived. They really truly care about you and your soberity. From the group therapy to the one on one therapy was amazing. Let's not forget about the horses especially therapeutic. All the staff is amazing. Would highly recommend this treatment center! An they even keep in touch after you leave it feels amazing to be cared about.

This place has gone way down hill. I have been a patient for over 6 years. The Dr s, Counselors and staff are very nice and I thought that they all actually cared about patients until today s interactions. Oh and the wait times are getting ridiculous. My last appointment took almost 2 hours. Then today I needed to have a Tele-health visit because my radiator in my car needed replacing. I live over an hour away from my clinic. I have called 4 times since yesterday and still no one has returned my calls. I am always on time for appointments, take meds as prescribed. Don t cause issues. Today has made me feel very uncared about.*** I wanted to do an edit to say that things have gotten so much better the last few months. I really appreciate the changes they have made and wanted people to know.

I m 57 yo and this was my first visit to the center. It was the best medical center visit I have ever had. I was there for an urgent care visit. I had no wait at all before being seen, did not even have an opportunity to sit in the waiting area. I was seen by nurse, social worker, doctor and ct lab seamlessly! Had a less than 30 wait for scan to be read, dr came in and communicated the results, made prescription and I was checked out. Picked up my prescription within 10 minutes from on site pharmacy and done. Not only were the services VERY timely, everyone I dealt with from the check in desk to the pharmacy clerk were very professional and friendly. To top it off the entire, very large campus, was very clean and outside was neatly manicured. I can t say enough good things about my first visit.

My son was transferred to the adolescent floor a few weeks ago from a rehab facility nearby. As a parent who lives 6 hours away and has never experienced a mental health facility the adolescent floor took WONDERFUL care of my son and helped eased our hearts while we waited on visitation/discharge information. He was allowed to call home everyday, we were able to call and check in on him whenever and the nurses were always welcoming and willing to help ease our concerns. The kindness that they offered from admittance to the discharge nurses exceeded our expectations. My son felt heard and cared for there. The doctor listened and suggested what would be best for him. They helped stabilize him and put him on meds that offered relief. My only hiccup was the initial case worker who thought she could use a special tactic to help him understand his situation and where he was coming from was a bad place. I don t feel like it was the best thing for her to be offering. Was she concerned for my son and his future? Of course, just needed to be handled a little differently. Was it a deal breaker no? My son continues to praise the care he received during his 5 day stay and says it was very helpful to him. It makes my husband and I feel at ease knowing that he was getting the proper and gentle care he needed while in a different state away from us.

This is an update to my review from a year ago. I tried a different treatment facility recently and was treated like most people in society treat addicts - like a lost cause. I decided to come back to Spero and Shae got me an appointment for the very next day!! They treat you like a human being and not just $$. I m a single mother and on days I can t get a babysitter they happily let my child come with me. It s like one big family and I m so blessed to be a part of it. People who are complaining about the financial aspect, please remember this is still a business and people have to be paid to do their job and keep the place running. What they charge is nothing compared to all the money I spent when I was in active addiction. After being there 3 years I still stand by my 5 star rating.The staff is absolutely amazing!! Without Shae, that place would be lost bc she goes above and beyond to help people in recovery. Doug, my counselor is awesome too. I recently started seeing Dr. Ross and cannot say enough great things about him. He treats you like a person rather than just another addict and he truly wants to see his patients succeed. As long as you do what you re supposed to do, they will help you stay sober. The only complaints I have are that I wish there was a location closer to my side of town (West Nashville). Coming here was one of the best things I ever did for myself and now I have been sober for almost 2 years!! It works if you work it (I m so not the type to use clichs or anything but for real)

The most absolute amazing office hands down. I've ever been to in my thirty six years earth! You walk in and they you feel welcome! Dr. Romeo is the best with treating any SUBSTANCE ABUSE. She connects with you and doesn't JUDGE you at all! The wonderful counselors are fantastic and very open. Smyrna staff is the best . Only problem I have is billing . I have commercial insurance from my employer. So to get in to be seen . One has to give a Debit card number to their hired billing services. We have been charged up to three times the amount of our copay . It comes straight out of our bank account without any warning. This could case major problems with my bank account. When I call the billing service . They talk down to me . Non of the " Well let's take a look at the problem sir " . Then once the mistake is found . It takes forever to get back in my account. Spero Health needs to have a Debit card scanner like most Docto offices. Again this is no fault of the Smyrna staff . They will do anything in their power to help someone !! They are great !! 10/9/24 When I try to call the CEO of Spero Health . No answer from Steve Priest and I can't leave a message. Just to voice my concern about this issue. Thanks

I started off going to the Hendersonville location yrs bk when I lived out that way,, which I also have nothing but great things to say about that location as well. I've also been to the Gallatin location. Their staff is amazing!! Always SO fiendly, informative, helpful, & there to greet you with a smile as you walk in... There's nothing worse then going into a Dr.s office (where post people would rather go/be anywhere else but the doctors.. lol) & not being greeted at all, or being given the stare down face that gives the look of the ole "Who are you? Why are you here? What do you want..?!" kinda face... lol! Ugh that's the worst! No worries for that when you walk into any of the Cumberland Mental Health offices! I can assure you of that! Front desk staff are always so sweet, helpful, & get you checked in in a timely organized fashion.. No chaos, confusion , or waiting to be seen for hours past your appointment time.. I can say in all honesty I've never had to wait longer then 10 to 15mins at the most to be called back. That's a huge deal for us mommy's, working moms (& dads), or all humans in general.. We all have things to do, & places to be.. So sitting in a doctor's office waiting room is never ideal for anyone. At the same time, things do happen & I always understand when a Dr. or therapist is running behind one day or overflowed with patients/appts.. I get it. They're doing their jobs & they're doing it to the best of their ability to help all of us. So for me personally. So to wrap this up... I personally love Cumberland Mental Health & all their staff. Not just my provider... the secatorial ladies, the nurse, the therapist/case workers who never fail to always take a few minutes to tlk with me, ask me if I'm doing well, or if I need anything! Not only in the office, but they call periodically through the month to check up on me and that's so important and kind in my opinion! They're a solid 5 star doctor's office in my book!

I have nothing but good things to say about this operation. The staff is always courteous and kind, very flexible with scheduling, and the case workers really do their jobs by finding you the best care options for your budget, insured or not, which I am not.When I arrived in TN last year I was technically unemployed and homeless for the most part. They have managed my medications, provided CBT ( cognitive behavioral therapy) bi-weekly, and arranged for UBER/Lyft rides to get me to and from scheduled appointments. I am very grateful for the entire staff and establishment. Thank you for all of your help!

I have been to several different mental health facilities and this by far is the best. One of the office worker came and personally apologize because everything was taking so long. Which I told them was okay because I understood. Because they are honestly doing their best to get everything done. They have so many task to do and they are handling it very professionally.

I must say reading the reviews on here right before going to this rehab had me slightly worried, but my experience at this rehab was awesome the staff are nice the environment was very comfortable and laid back and the director Mr Doug was above and beyond all expectations. But it's the other clients that make this place truly great. It's an amazing brotherhood that is one of a kind and no one judges anyone because they all understand what you are going through. I can't give enough credit to the nurse my counselor ashli the director Mr Doug and shama the mentor for just showing that they care about a person as down on their luck and in bad shape as myself and I'm thankful for what they do for people like me .Of course anyone who's not ready to change will have a bad experience at any rehab but at this place I think anyone can have a good start to their recovery ..thanks guys Matthew

I don't believe one bad review about this place. Not to mention the new facility is very nice. The one thing I have learned about mental health is just that mental. With that said they saved my son but he also helped save himself. He's proven if you take your meds correctly, communicate with your care team and work a program you can be successful in life no matter your diagnosis.

I came to these guys so scared, and within a day they made me feel at home. There s always going to be bad reviews everywhere but please listen when I say me and everyone in that place was shocked with how amazing this place was compared to the other inpatient cares. Karen and also everyone on the day shift, made sure we never went without and heard everyone s problems and met us with solutions always. This place was so amazing that my group didn t want to LEAVE. They knew how to make us all feel like family. I ll never forget them

Today I visited the ER in need of a doctor. I received the most awesome care from the staff there. Front desk , respiratory, X-ray the doctor and the sweet lady that discharged me. I m new to Carthage and haven t yet established care with a regular doctor in an office. I so appreciated the kindness and the medical knowledge I saw today. Thank you all so much. My first time around wasn't great, but the second time was wonderful. My doctor, not sure his name, African-American man was wonderful. State hospital so ofcourse, no money, but nonetheless, you'll eat and have a wonderful stay, so long as you mind your own business. Thank you, doctors for taking care of us. :)
