I have been coming to the Bowling Green, KY office since before they were taken over by AppleGate. The core group of people has been the same since I started attending, 6 years ago. They are all great! I cannot express just how nice it is to have this group of people in my corner. They are an important piece of my recovery, allowing me to lead a normal, fulfilling life. Myself and my family are forever grateful that we found such a great group of people to walk through my recovery with. So much better than BHG on Charlotte. No wait and everyone is nice, from the front desk, your counselor to your nurse. It's the way a clinic should be run. Dr. Marianne Raynes at Centerstone has made a tremendous difference in my life. A couple of weeks ago, I was in a really difficult place, and she took the time to truly listen, talk things through with me, and thoughtfully evaluate what I was experiencing. Losing my husband broke something in me. Tristar felt safe, and the nurses were so patient, which I needed. Detox was rough, but they helped me through gently. I appreciated the group time most, sharing with folks who actually understood. Wish they had more grief-specific support, tho. Still, I left with more hope than I came in with. It’s not perfect, but it helped me start healing.

I came to Tristar for my son after many hard years. As a mom and a nurse, I needed somewhere with strong clinical care and real spiritual support. The staff were mostly kind, professional, and I liked that they offered family sessions too. We joined in on some education meetings which really helped me feel included. I do wish their aftercare planning was more consistent. Still, this place gave us hope again. Grateful for that.

Everyone in and around this place of business needs to shop there. They have the best things and I have found some of the neatest items at this place. I can say every time I have visited this place while go to visit my best friend and her mother “The Hope Center,”is always on our to-do list the people that worked there are absolutely awesome. I’ve never gone there when I didn’t end up purchasing more than I was planning too. You need to check this place out. You will not be disappointed!!! It’s without out five stars plus 5 more stars !!! I highly recommend Cumberland Mental Health as your health care provider for your mental health needs or whatever type of services you're seeking help with. I started off going to the Hendersonville location yrs bk when I lived out that way,, which I also have nothing but great things to say about that location as well. I've also been to the Gallatin location. Their staff is amazing!! Always SO fiendly, informative, helpful, & there to greet you with a smile as you walk in... There's nothing worse then going into a Dr.s office (where post people would rather go/be anywhere else but the doctors.. lol) & not being greeted at all, or being given the stare down face that gives the look of the ole "Who are you? Why are you here? What do you want..?!" kinda face... lol!🙃 Ugh that's the worst! No worries for that when you walk into any of the Cumberland Mental Health offices! I can assure you of that!😉 Front desk staff are always so sweet, helpful, & get you checked in in a timely organized fashion.. No chaos, confusion , or waiting to be seen for hours past your appointment time.. I can say in all honesty I've never had to wait longer then 10 to 15mins at the most to be called back. That's a huge deal for us mommy's, working moms (& dads), or all humans in general.. We all have things to do, & places to be.. So sitting in a doctor's office waiting room is never ideal for anyone. At the same time, things do happen & I always understand when a Dr. or therapist is running behind one day or overflowed with patients/appts.. I get it. They're doing their jobs & they're doing it to the best of their ability to help all of us. So for me personally. So to wrap this up... I personally love Cumberland Mental Health & all their staff. Not just my provider... the secatorial ladies, the nurse, the therapist/case workers who never fail to always take a few minutes to tlk with me, ask me if I'm doing well, or if I need anything! Not only in the office, but they call periodically through the month to check up on me and that's so important and kind in my opinion!😉

I have been to several different mental health facilities and this by far is the best. One of the office worker came and personally apologize because everything was taking so long. Which I told them was okay because I understood. Because they are honestly doing their best to get everything done. They have so many task to do and they are handling it very professionally.

I have nothing but good things to say about this operation. The staff is always courteous and kind, very flexible with scheduling, and the case workers really do their jobs by finding you the best care options for your budget, insured or not, which I am not.
When I arrived in TN last year I was technically unemployed and homeless for the most part. They have managed my medications, provided CBT ( cognitive behavioral therapy) bi-weekly, and arranged for UBER/Lyft rides to get me to and from scheduled appointments. I am very grateful for the entire staff and establishment. Thank you for all of your help!

I must say reading the reviews on here right before going to this rehab had me slightly worried, but my experience at this rehab was awesome the staff are nice the environment was very comfortable and laid back and the director Mr Doug was above and beyond all expectations. But it's the other clients that make this place truly great. It's an amazing brotherhood that is one of a kind and no one judges anyone because they all understand what you are going through. I can't give enough credit to the nurse my counselor ashli the director Mr Doug and shama the mentor for just showing that they care about a person as down on their luck and in bad shape as myself and I'm thankful for what they do for people like me .Of course anyone who's not ready to change will have a bad experience at any rehab but at this place I think anyone can have a good start to their recovery ..thanks guys Matthew ✋

I’m surprised by the low reviews. I’m impressed by this place, they’ve given me full health care over the phone, I personally appreciate I’ve never been required to come into the office. Therapy sessions, med appointments, case management, all over the phone. Prescriptions sent to the pharmacy and refilled via text. It’s been a breeze. This place is amazing. The staff genuinely cares about your recovery and your personal wrll being. I have never been to a facility that goes above and beyond everyday to pour into the clients. I have been to several facilities over the past 12 years and Recovery Unplugged is the first one thus far that focuses on the underlying issues that lead to substance use, alcoholism, and addiction in the first place. Everywhere else that I have ever been wants to teach repeating classes on the brain chemistry and effects of drug use, relapse prevention, and codependency. All of those are useful, yes. But all of those are useless unless you address what got you there in the first place. I could go on forever but I will leave it at that. Oh and the food is AMAZING 😋

Probably the most important experience I'll ever have in my life because at Cumberland Heights they were able to teach me enough and convince me that my problem was real and addiction is a disease of the mind. This is the longest I've been completely sober since I started using 20 years ago and its all thanks to the in depth explanation of everything I learned at Cumberland Heights. I graduated from the old facility many years ago and everything Mrs.Christy and other staff taught me, goes with me daily and gives me the tools to stay sober 1 more day. I was homeless, hopeless, broken and not a penny to my name. Samaritan sponsored me without question and gave me the tools to have a fighting chance. I had some relapses along the way, but everything the leaders at Samaritan taught me,the 12 steps, to not give up, to get up and try agin still resonates in me today. I have 3 1/2 years sober now. If you want to change, really want change and are willing to do anything to make that happen, Samaritan is a great place to begin your new journey. The food is amazing as well. Mrs. Angelia and cooking staff are top notch. The spread daily is over the top and delicious. The opposite of what I ate on the streets, if I ate at all. One of the best experiences I had was at Samaritan. Mr. Tim was director then and the staff was like family and the counselor were understanding and very helpful to your needs. The new building looks like things have improved I just hope they don't take away the lil park and the gazebo. I touched and prayed and sang with and for alot of people in that Peace Park.

I completed the 28 day program offered by Samaritan Recovery Jan 16, 2025.
It is my 3rd treatment experience since 2002.
I cannot say enough to express my gratitude for Samaritan but I am going try. First, they accepted me and others without insurance and at no cost to me. That’s a minor miracle in today’s world. I am 55 and Clients ages during my stay ranged in age 19-60. A good mix which created a unique environment. We had 12 step meetings each night on site and coffee each morning. All required to finish steps 1.2.3 before completing program.
The staff was excellent!! Low tolerance for unhealthy behaviors and held us accountable without being unnecessarily authoritative.
Then intake process was easy and admin staff was polite, knowledgeable and professional.
The Samaritan facility/building is new, clean and first class. I does not resemble any nonprofit inpatient treatment center nor operate like any I’ve ever seen.
I received Individual counseling, valuable and interesting small group sessions facilitated daily by a designated counselor who cared. In speaking with other clients over 28 days I do not hear any complaint about their counselors either. They all also facilitate large group sessions in afternoon and I can say they were excellent and also showed that they cared about us and our growth and recovery .
The food service/chef/cafeteria fed 35-43 clients 3 meals each day. All meals were very good, well balanced and of wide variety which was also a very pleasant surprise.
The groups that were facilitated in afternoons were well designed, specific to and for people in early recovery and tooics
Related to addiction and co occurring disorders. All facilitators were licensed professionals and 95% of staff is in recovery with long term success, decades of experience.
Samaritan also has daily , morning meditation for all clients who wish to engage.
It’s proven to help those with addictions and co occurring disorders so I was very happy they facilitate daily meditation. A few minutes each day changed each day for the positive for me .
The recovery, behavioral Technical support staff that managed clients needs was 24/7.
All of them were actively in recovery themselves so they understood us. I believe all tech, support staff had close to or more than 10 years sobriety.
They were patient, attentive and knowledgeable. Very Respectful and cared about the clients needs. That says a lot given fact that 40 people, all of whom were in Early recovery. Me included, Clients can be very hard to manage, and that’s an understatement. Support staff was truly the glue that held us together.

Time clinical staff on site and Although I didn’t have a lot of clinical needs I will say that clinical director director, medical physician and all nursing staff were very attentive on a daily basis for clients who required medications, check ups or medical requests. Again excellent staff. Very qualified and steady.
Personally and without hesitation I can say that I had a great experience ant Samaritan.
I came in shattered and broken and I left 28 days later hopeful, renewed and optimistic. I highly recommend this facility and their 28 day program. Lastly, I was also surprised that they have transitional sober living on site and after care programs.
And Two things I really took advantage of in my free time was the music / sun room and small library.
Amazing and so surprising given that Samaritan is a non profit.
My experience and thier program is also clear and strong reflection of great donors and highly qualified executive staff.

I called, did assessment over the phone and 24 hours later I was picked up at a hotel near brick church and trinity lane .I was desperate and ready for a new life after havjng relapsed about 3 months earlier.
