Looking back, I’m very grateful I listened to their recommendation. I clearly wouldn’t have been there in the first place if I had already known exactly what I was doing, and giving myself the full time to focus on recovery made a real difference. What stood out most to me was how personalized the treatment was. The staff took the time to understand me as an individual rather than treating everyone the same. They also did a great job involving my family, helping us communicate better and work through issues that had been affecting all of us. The program goes beyond simply addressing substance abuse—it gives you an opportunity to understand yourself, your behaviors, your relationships, and what needs to change for long-term recovery. Another thing I really appreciated was the specialized aftercare they provided. They took the time to understand my unique situation and helped develop an aftercare plan tailored specifically to my needs. Knowing that I had continued support and a plan in place after leaving gave me a lot more confidence about maintaining the progress I had made. The overall environment was also excellent. The rooms, food, amenities, and extracurricular activities made the experience comfortable and gave me opportunities to relax and connect with others while still staying focused on healing. The staff were supportive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping people succeed. I also found the classes to be very informative. They were based on current research as well as the center’s experience working with people in recovery, and I walked away with practical information and a better understanding of myself and my recovery. For me, Focus provided a much-needed break from everyday life—a chance to disconnect from outside distractions and really focus on healing and personal growth. The value went well beyond simply addressing substance abuse. It was about learning how to live differently, understanding myself better, and building a better foundation for the future. From first contact after hours on a weekend, to accepting my son for treatment even before we had payment worked out, to working with my insurance to get everything covered in-network when they were technically out of network to the fantastic intensive outpatient services. I had a crippling addiction to 7-0H. For those unaware its a concentrate of the molecule in kratom that causes opioid like effects. It felt almost as strong as oxycodone and is available otc for cheap. I was spending at least 30 bucks a day for 6 plus months and I wasn't even one of the worst cases. Tolerance builds quick. Its physically addictive just like pain pills. I started drinking every night from the stress and got physically addicted to that too. I did the detox program for 7 days and Im finally free and can actually hold onto my money. The staff and patients are so kind and you can smoke hourly. You can sleep as much as you need. Im staying on Suboxone therapy from now on. It you are hesitating to go please do it. I would have ended my life if not for them. Its the only program I voluntarily did and finished. They made an instant connection as they began to ask questions and surprisingly got answers from the patient. They showed empathy. I cannot speak as to all of their services, but I do know they have some excellent workers here with genuine care.
