About CADAS – Adult Treatment

Home to the nation’s first and largest military park, Chattanooga, Tennessee, also features CADAS Adult Treatment. This organization provides comprehensive care for adults battling addiction. You can access withdrawal management, a 28 day residential program, or intensive outpatient care to meet you where you are in recovery.

They work with most insurance plans, including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Humana, Aetna and Ambetter. Even if you don’t have insurance, you can still get the support you need.

They accept all Texas residents, regardless of their financial situation. You may be eligible for various state grants to cover treatment fees.

Matrix Intensive Outpatient Group

What stands out most to me is their specialized intensive outpatient group. If you’re battling stimulant addiction or have experienced multiple relapses, you can participate in this comprehensive program to gain the tools for lasting recovery. Utilizing the Matrix Model, it focuses on six vital areas, including family education, relapse prevention, group and individual therapy and social support.

Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) to Manage Withdrawal

Another great feature I noticed was their MAT program for alcohol and opioid use disorder. This 12 month targeted outpatient program combines medication management and therapy groups to help you reach recovery. They prescribe FDA approved medications, including buprenorphine and naltrexone, to manage withdrawal symptoms and cravings that can hinder recovery.

DUI School

I also think they’re DUI services seem beneficial. They offer a 12 hour Prime for Life Course for driving under the influence, underage possession of alcohol and driving while intoxicated charges. You’ll also complete an evaluation to receive referrals for addiction treatment, social services and mental health care. One reviewer credited the facility for helping to save their life.

Cadas was by far the worst detox and treatment center I’ve ever been to before. Not only was I not taken care of but was told to just deal with my withdrawal symptoms and “tough it out” they didn’t do any kind of medication for detoxing me even after I’ve been withdrawing from the moment I walked in the door. After a whole 24-28 hours still nothing cause I didn’t meet numbers for medicine to help with opioid withdrawal. Wouldn’t recommend this place even as a last resort. The staff (residential assistants) was friendly but the doctors and medical staff were terrible, they didn’t care about how you felt. They seen how awful I felt and how bad my withdrawal symptoms were and still didn’t even try to care for me and my detox symptoms . Oh and if you are asleep they don’t wake you up for food time. If I could give a negative star, I would.

When you're ready, we hope you'll give us a call. I can assure you that our Medical Staff and Clinicians are top-notch in the care they provide. What we find is that individuals sometimes are not ready to begin their journey, and because of this, those in early recovery can become upset when they don't get what they want. We have been saving lives for 61 years and hope that when you're ready again, you'll give us a call. Always wishing you the best, and you are worthy of a better life. Sometimes we have to get out of our own way.

Great food but rooms are very hot and some of the staff are there for a check .I was there 2 weeks with 2 to go when they found a piece of SUBOXEN strip inside my pillow case in with my pillow that they issued me. Most people are in SUBOXEN there including myself .I have no clue how long it was there and neither did they and they did t care less and kicked me out and then made me sit outside in almost 109 degrees heat for 3 hours til my people got off work and could come get me and wouldn't let me back in for water or anything. So to the 2 older woman who made me sit out side karma sucks. I would go some where else if you can.. it very good cooks in kitchen

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Treatments

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a clinical approach to helping people with substance abuse issues and other conditions shift behavior in positive ways. It is more goal-oriented than traditional psychotherapy, as MI counselors directly attempt to get clients to consider making behavioral change (rather than wait for them to come to conclusions themselves). Its primary purpose is to resolve ambivalence and help clients become able to make healthy choices freely.
