We do not have many resources in Cleveland for mental help so they are under staffed and no a big facility. I agree with some of the comments about some of the workers but I have met also some of the most amazing people iv ever met with special hearts! Taking care of my mental was a big step this year for me. Hiwassee made me feel safe to do so and my care managers and therapist are god sent. And I don’t know if yall are complaining about the two ladies up front now but they are always so sweet and caring and try finding a plan if I need help. As far as resources at the end of every meeting I have they ask if I need any and if I need help with living somewhere. Dont let the negative comments bring you down! Lydia Wilson.Wilson is kind, patient and knowledgeable. The center gives you the choice between having an in person or online therapist, and also a choice between male and female. I’m looking forward to my first therapy appointment today. I have a good gut feeling about it. First appointment was really easy to make, the second one was stranger - the appointment setter was quiet for minutes at a time without any explanation. But the doctors, therapist and the safe were amazing, sweat, kind, and understanding! I was there getting my mental health better and it has gotten so much better I was there for about 5ish days I was discharged today and I'm so happy to be better. It was sad because I was literally by myself for 5 days and when I wasn’t wearing my rings some people thought I was divorced. But I wasn’t. I wish I could have kept my rings. They were understaffed and I didn't get to see a therapist every day, but I did get to see a psychiatrist every day to help adjust my medicines each day. I cannot express how grateful I am for their help, and how impressed I was by several of the staff members who shared their genuine concern and care for the patient I dropped off. I was about to leave and not drop the patient off, when they attempted to speak with my patient one on one. They made an instant connection as they began to ask questions and surprisingly got answers from the patient. They showed empathy. I cannot speak as to all of their services, but I do know they have some excellent workers here with genuine care.
