There were a few standout employees (Candace, Kevin, Desiree, Chiara) who had sincere compassion and care for what I was going through. There was a sense of community there and always someone to talk too, you never felt alone.

I didn’t think the betterment of my mental health would ever be possible, but with the help of my therapist Luke, I was able to get control of my mental health and on the path to loving myself for who I am. Ok the staff members were very nice and understanding. Met some nice people. But I didn’t like how I couldn’t wear my wedding ring and my engagement ring. It was sad because I was literally by myself for 5 days and when I wasn’t wearing my rings some people thought I was divorced. But I wasn’t. I wish I could have kept my rings.

The staff here are wonderful and actually care about the patients and treat them like real people. They were understaffed and I didn't get to see a therapist every day, but I did get to see a psychiatrist every day to help adjust my medicines each day. Even though they were short staffed, the care and attention they showed made this a wonderful experience. I would definitely go back if I ever needed to.

The center’s uniq | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Embark has been such a great experience for both my 17 year old son and me and his father. It’s intense as it is a 3 month long residential program, but I feel like everyone at Embark really cares about making things better for young boys that are neurodivergent and have behavioral issues. The staff works really hard to help the boys develop better coping skills so that they can be successful in life. The program also helps parents by providing tools for parenting children that are atypical. I can say that our son’s counselor Kevin truly made a difference in all of our lives. Our son would agree too. The weekly parent support group was helpful in that parents can connect and realize that you’re not alone. The other staff, psychiatrist, nurses are all very communicative and committed to what they do. We as a family are in a much better place now because of Embark.

Our soon attended Embark for 90 days. During his stay he learned many skills to help him better navigate day to day life. He also learned a lot about himself, allowing him to communicate effectively about his feelings and what maybe upsetting him. | Located in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Harmony Oaks Recovery Center provides outpatient mental and behavioral health care for adults, including medically supervised ambulatory detox, dual diagnosis care, partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), general outpatient (OP), and aftercare programming. They are state licensed and Joint Commi | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Harmony Oaks has restored hope in my family's hearts and souls!!!! It is evident they TRULY care about the individuals who come there. My son (age 20) has been in and out of mental health treatment and treatment facilities for the past 11 months. He was diagnosed with ASD some time ago, and with bipolar disorder 11 months ago, and has attempted suicide 3 times in that span of time. During that time, I've also dealt with crisis centers, ER's, inpatient m.h. facilities, residential m.h. treatment, outpatient treatment and medication management. Right from the start Harmony Oaks has stood out from the rest! The level of communication they've provided to me/his family has been outstanding! ...Thank you, Olivia, Abby, Destiny, James, and Doug...for reaching out at different stages of the process, keeping me informed, letting me know my boy was okay, and for identifying the need for some additional care my son needed, and making all of those arrangements! You...the staff...are the family's lifeline when our loved one is being cared for by others. I can't begin to express the level of anxiety & stress I've experienced during times my son was at other facilities and I couldn't get anyone to communicate with me for about 5 days, even though my son had signed a release. And Greg...I think you might have quite literally saved my son's life. He called last night and told us that on the drive to the airport, you spoke to him and told him about assistance for persons on the spectrum, and that you would work with him when he returned to your facility after first receiving a higher level of care. Last night my son said he had planned to take his life (hence the need for a higher level of care before actually entering Harmony Oaks' IOP residential program), but that you made him promise he wouldn't harm himself. He said that you were a good guy...he expressed in his own way...that you actually cared about him, as an individual, and his particular challenges. My son has always felt invisible. But you made him feel seen, and I mean truly seen, like he's not just a number in a long list of names. Greg...my son is now saying he will try. He actually said that you changed his perspective. And nobody has been able to do that in the past 11 months, until you Greg! Thank you to all of you for what you do every day. A hard, hard job. But you change peoples' lives...not only the persons you work with directly, but their families as well. I pray God blesses each and every one of you. You have restored hope in my son, and given us/his family and friends hope as well.

I am giving 5 stars for the brief encounter that I had with staff here as I dropped off a mental health consumer. I cannot express how grateful I am for their help, and how impressed I was by several of the staff members who shared their genuine concern and care for the patient I dropped off. I was about to leave and not drop the patient off, when they attempted to speak with my patient one on one. They made an instant connection as they began to ask questions and surprisingly got answers from the patient. They showed empathy. I cannot speak as to all of their services, but I do know they have some excellent workers here with genuine care.
