As a parent, placing your child in residential treatment is one of the hardest decisions you’ll ever make. The entire staff at Embark made that process so much easier by treating both Mason and our family with kindness, compassion, and respect every step of the way. I probably sent far more texts and emails than most parents, constantly checking in and asking questions, yet not a single person ever made me feel like I was being a burden. Every message was answered promptly, every concern was taken seriously, and I always felt heard. What stood out most was how genuinely invested everyone was in Mason. From the treatment team and residential staff to the front desk, every single person took the time to truly know him. He wasn’t just another resident, he was Mason. They learned his personality, celebrated his successes, encouraged him through his struggles, and built relationships that made him feel safe, supported, and valued. Communication throughout his stay was exceptional. The team consistently kept us informed, responded quickly, held appointments as scheduled, and welcomed us during family visits. We always knew they wanted what was best for Mason, and that gave us tremendous peace of mind. Mason spent 64 days at Embark, and the growth we saw in that short time was nothing short of remarkable. He came home more patient, more present, more thoughtful, and with skills that will continue to help him long after treatment. We know his journey isn’t over, but Embark gave him a foundation that we truly believe changed the course of his life. But I knew on the first day that he would be safe and valued, just based on how patient they were with him through the onboarding process. Throughout his time there, they saw his good through his pain and anger. They worked with him and me to teach us new ways. The place itself was beautiful and my son spent so much time in his happy place of nature. When things were very hard for him, they communicated with me and never gave up. The residential staff are God-sent people. I loved that turnover was so low, that I really knew all the staff by the end of the process. They were familiar and comforting during family visits. ALL the staff - care coordinator, Jaime, Chris, Jake, the nurses, the therapist team, Nathan, residential coaches - were consistently compassionate, communicative, and provided quality, individualized treatment for my family. I just called as a first time patient attempting to make an appointment, and after having the worst experiences at so many separate places, had almost given up hope... I had pretty poor expectations after seing the stars on google, but I called today, the Athens number, and transferred to someone for first appointments. I had the best and most hopeful experience in trying to get help my entire adult life. I talked to them for 30 minutes, and explained way more than they asked or I should have, but they just stayed so patient and kind. It was truly a different experience, and left me feeling positive and hopeful towards my induction telecomm interview tomorrow. Thank you thank you to all the nurses for everything that you've done you took very good care of me and especially of the wounds and just thank you to all the nurses and I can't say enough about this place it saved my life is all I can say to the techs we have Kaylee Crystal Sean John Jessica Tay who's my turtle by the way, Courtney and Pay pay there's also cliff Jimmy I feel like I'm forgetting someone but all I can say is the techs here are absolutely wonderful anytime we go to them and ask for their help or to get us towels or for whatever reason they are right on top of it and they don't get mad at us especially when several of us come up at the same time they are just so accommodating all of the therapists especially my therapists of Jasmine it's just been a wonderful experience and Miss Becky Miss Mary Dustin once again I feel like I'm forgetting someone and I know I am but to all of the staff here you have made this day so complete for me I'm not as nervous about going home thank you Becky for getting me into aftercare instead of doing the virtual I think it's going to be very beneficial to me even the chefs Doug and Bill they catered to me give me my eggs and my hoagie sandwiches when I didn't really like what we were having so kudos to both of y'all Miss Amber oh I can't wait to give you a call and start helping you out thank you for everything and of course to Tucker too he's a sweet doggie and just everybody here means a lot to me and I'm very grateful that God sent me here all I can do is say thank you to everyone Josh Mike just thank you all. I made the drive from Asheville, and although I was still hesitant, from the moment Shawn greeted me in the parking lot and checked me in, I knew I had picked the right place. There are no words for how well I was treated and how many tools that I left with to start rebuilding my life. Every staff member made me comfortable and treated me like family. The classes were so, so far from the lengthy, boring lectures that I had expected. I gained so much from each and every group leader and the group discussions with other clients, many of which turned into real friends . I originally had signed up for a detox, but quickly realized that I needed and WANTED to stay for the 21 day program, and am ever grateful that I did. Amazing and abundant food was an unexpected bonus as well. If you juggling locations to decide on for your recovery adventure, I cannot stress enough how good this one is. My counselor’s name was Sofia. She worked with me several times a week for a little over a month. She’s by far the best counselor I’ve ever had. She helped me work past my mother’s death and help me get to the route of my addiction issues. The staff here genuinely cares about you. They will go above and beyond. Sofia fought so hard for me in every situation, she never gave up on me. I’ve never had someone in my corner so much that wanted me to succeed in every way. Tracy my favorite tech still checks on me to this day. The facility is brand new, clean, and very nice. If you truly want to get better, this is the place to go. I couldn’t pay for almost 60 days. They helped me get insurance for 8$ a month that pays for my medicine and better yet allows me to get medical treatment like I would on tenncare. Seeing the friendly security guy (my personal favorite) to seeing the beautiful women at front, sorry forgot their names but those women especially the light skin one is so SWEET. My care broke down and one of the workers offered to jump my car. They have been so good to me. Their job is hard. I came in the first day angry and agitated and wanted a fix. They worked with me. Put me in top of the queue and gave me water to calm me down. The woman usually in room 1 with the glasses and brown hair I feel like is my FRIEND.
