Lily is always smiling, and that small act of kindness can really make a difference when I am having a hard day. Overall, I feel like I have a team of people who genuinely care about me as a person, not just my diagnosis or addiction. Dr. Fred Foshee is exceptional and takes the time to listen, explain things clearly, and provide thoughtful care. Katherine, Megan Hart, and Jennifer Perkins are also wonderful and consistently make patients feel welcomed, heard, and valued. I also want to give a special shout-out to Ashley, the office manager, who does an incredible job keeping everything running smoothly. I was discharged from the PHP and the staff refused to admit me to the inpatient unit. I was taken to another hospital far away. The ER treats patients like animals. I was denied my prescribed meds and the staff lied to me and had a terrible attitude. Do not go there or you will regret it! 7 years ago Blount Memorial was an amazing experience for me, I can't think of a place capable of doing what they did. Then once my insurance was ready, they paid for my full stay , it’s now been over eight months of calling and emailing and everything else I can do. I still haven’t been refunded for the cash I paid out of pocket , even though KRC was paid fully by my insurance. My counselor’s name was Sofia. She worked with me several times a week for a little over a month. She’s by far the best counselor I’ve ever had. She helped me work past my mother’s death and help me get to the route of my addiction issues. The staff here genuinely cares about you. They will go above and beyond. Sofia fought so hard for me in every situation, she never gave up on me. I’ve never had someone in my corner so much that wanted me to succeed in every way. They are always helpful and set you up for free medication if you don’t have health insurance. They have all sorts of programs.
