There were a few standout employees (Candace, Kevin, Desiree, Chiara) who had sincere compassion and care for what I was going through. The VA has been so very helpful since my husband' s stroke last year. Everyone at the clinic is super nice and helpful. Dr. Coldwell is the best. He listens and has great suggestions and advice. This is my second review because I wanted to let others know about my 5 year experience at this treatment center! They were supposed to give my husband and I a month take home about 6 months ago, two different doctors approved mine, and my husband was approved by one! We kept asking, and kept asking, and kept asking, but really no one knew anything! Then we were both at 2 weeks and having housing issues at the time (which we both explained to them) SUPPOSEDLY missed a callback, got knocked down to one week (which really should've been two weeks from the month they never gave us) then we again SUPPOSEDLY missed a callback (when I say SUPPOSEDLY, I mean they're calling while we're working, if we don't answer and they don't leave a message, it's considered a missed callback) after 5 years of no failed drug test, showing up when we're supposed to, doing everything they tell us to do, except answering the phone while we're working, we have to go every single day, oh but they let us have a weekend take home! It took us almost 5 years to get to where we were and now we're back down to starting over?! All because most people work from 9 to 5 and they're only open until 11 am (even though their website says 1 pm)! Then how about my husband and I both sat in 1 hour counseling sessions the day they took our take home, but neither one of our counselors told us anything, they left that to Miss Kim, the lone nurse that should be running the place! She's the nurse I mentioned in my previous review, and many times I have been there and Miss Kim is running around working her butt off, while everyone else is goofing off and talking to each other! I went and read other reviews and one person said it's like they don't care if you have a job, and I couldn't agree more! If you work and can't answer the phone, you're punished! If you work and need to be in and out, good luck with that! It used to be in and out, but now every time I go in which was once a week, I would be there one to 3 hours! Oh and I found out today that if you don't have your name on your voicemail, they can't leave a voicemail, that would've been good to know about 5 years ago! This place is a joke, they hold you accountable to high standards, but don't hold themselves to the same high standards! I've never done well with situations like that! I was reading a article the other day about how clinics make it hard to maintain sobriety, and I honestly couldn't agree more! Nowadays there are so many virtual options, that if they don't get this situation fixed, that's where I'm turning to! Also virtual options have actual licensed therapists, group sessions, month supply immediately, etc..
Update after researching IS THERE A FEDERAL MANDATE WHERE THEY HAVE TO MEDICATION CALLBACKS TO COUNT MEDICATION! No there's not, so basically they're just ruining my life for fun! It is what it is, because like I told their Program Director yesterday, there are too many options that I don't have to jump through hoops to get medication for 30 days immediately! I started this when rules on Bupenorphine where strict, but now that they aren't, I'm looking for a different solution!
Nydia
I don't know why Google doesn't give the option for zero stars, because they don't even deserve one! I have been coming here for over 5 years, I have never failed a drug test, never missed a day, always followed the rules, and did what I was supposed to do to maintain my sobriety! With all that being said, this place has the highest employee turnover rate, I've ever seen anywhere in my entire life! In the 5 years I've been coming, they've had 3 Program Directors, I've had about 10 different counselors, and the only people left since I started is one nurse and the doctor! Every time you get used to talking to your counselor, they switch you to someone else! I hope you're comfortable telling your life story over and over and over and over! Honestly after about the 3rd counselor, I just gave the basics, because really it doesn't matter! I have had some issues in the past year with housing and other things going on in my life, and I explained that I don't have a phone really, unless my other bills are paid, that's the last bill I pay! Apparently they called me 3 weeks ago for a callback (even though they don't have my new phone number) and I didn't answer! I gave them my new number the next week when they told me! Fast forward 3 weeks later, they took my one week take home, from a missed callback 3 weeks ago! Every time they get a new director it's a new set of rules! The last director stole almost 1000 dollars from my husband, (he had Medicaid and they were still taking his money weekly) and the money wasn't returned until this new director took over! With all that being said, it's hard enough to maintain sobriety, without all the flaming hoops they make you jump through! Take it from me, if you want medication without all the hassle, there are many online alternatives, that don't punish you for missing a phone call while working!

Louisville, Tennessee | Village Behavioral Health Treatment Center is located in Louisville Tennessee. This is a treatment facility that provides a range of services to children and adolescents who are experiencing struggles with their mental health or a co-occurring substance use addiction from alcohol, benzodiazepines, heroin, marijuana, and prescription drugs. Care is | Treatments Payment Options | During the admissions process I searched google far and wide hoping that I would find some actual advice other than the website and all of the vague reviews, now after receiving treatment from VBH I have decided to make this review for anyone who might be looking for advice on a long term facility such as The Village.
For starters you should know that the photos are very outdated, however as you can imagine with mental health facilities money can be kind of tight and there are other things that require attention. the facility is still nice but it's also not the Hampton's so don't walk in expecting it to be a luxury resort, it's also NOT A SUMMER CAMP!! This is something that I feel really needs to be clarified, now even though it's not a summer camp The Village offers many recreational activities that can be earned by maintaining respectful behaviors.
Despite some of the bad reviews the staff are super amazing as long as you are respectful and don't start problems. tip of advice, If you want your treatment to be short and go well don't be disrespectful and maintain good behaviors and if a peer gives you problems DO NOT MAKE IT WORSE. The food is like school lunch food it's not amazing but some of the food is good, typical food favorites consist of chicken nuggets, corn dogs, burgers, chicken tenders, ETC.
Also the first few weeks are going to be rough, mainly because your away from home and it's a huge adjustment, but if you are struggling, the village is SO worth it if you put in the effort to make it worth it!!

My daughter was here for 4 months and in 2 days she will be coming home!!! She was being so defiant and ran away plus she does struggle with some mental issues. At first it was a real struggle but they didn’t give up on her. They would try different ways and new things to help her and I do see a change in her. They worked around my schedule never gave me problem about anything I want to do or say, they always listen to all my concerns. I’m not just talking about one person, the whole staff there is great! Thank you guys for everything.

The staff was great—compassionate, direct, and genuinely invested in the well-being of the kids. The CRNP was especially helpful, taking the time to listen to our family and consider our daughter’s history when planning her care. The therapist working with her was clearly knowledgeable about her diagnosis and tailored the approach to what actually worked for her.
One thing I appreciated is that the staff didn’t sugarcoat things with the kids. They held them accountable, called them out when needed, and approached everything with a therapeutic mindset. During one particularly tough family visit, when our daughter became dysregulated, the staff stepped in and guided her through exercises that helped bring her back to baseline in a healthy, supportive way.
Yes, the environment is uncomfortable—it’s a 65-acre campus in the woods—but honestly, that’s part of the process. Kids are meant to feel a bit uncomfortable and inconvenienced during treatment. Growth doesn’t happen in comfort zones, and this place understands that.
We’re grateful for the structure, honesty, and support they provided.

yall are so brave for sharing your stories. this is awful. all of the therapy shown isnt real. u dont get 3 sessions a week, its a downright lie. u get 1 individual session a week, and rarely u get 1 group and even more rarely u get 1 equine therapy. we were locked inside the cabin for days, sometimes even weeks. i was severely depressed from not seeing the outside, was on constant unit lock down, which means u get sandwhiches for 2 of ur 3 meals a day, and the other u get cold cereal and moldy fruit. i got banned from the cafeteria for "disrespect", so this was my food for 2+ months. staff brought the girls drugs, and there were numerous xases of sa that were never investigated. please do not send ur kids here, theyll turn out worse. the only reason i got out is because i played the system and acted fine until they let me go.

It was my understanding from inside sources that some of the current and former counselors were/are falsely displayed credentials. If I was being treated for cancer and found out the doctor was just someone that read some books on cancer I would be extremely upset and expect actions to be taken against this doctor. Likewise, if I have a family member that suffers from addiction and I found out a counselor was treating my loved one by saying they were certified and actually were not, then that person should never practice with addiction ever again. Blue Ridge Recovery and their CEO should be held responsible by someone for this type of business practice. I would NEVER reccomend this facility to anyone. They are more concerned about making money and blowing their own horn than caring for those that truly are in need.

1 star and this is why.
On Thursday 14th I checked myself in was and still am having some issues that aside , I came in at 5pm I have other medical needs that require medication. I was denied that medication until after 11pm causing me to reel in pain and I was told that even tho I haven't even signed the paper work I couldn't have taken my medication that i had. cos by their "POLICY" i have no rights once on their property. The doctors and nurses treated me with the upmost respect and was kind and compassionate . . .. at first.
I was passed around 3 units. The first move was they wanted me in a better bed and more attentive care I was there 1 day then had to leave cos a woman had covid and needed my bed. So I guess I didn't matter so it felt. The nurse lacey I think her name was was a saint kind she treated me so kind with respect I needed that and it made me feel like I mattered. The night nurse was 180 from lacey she was on that I don't care about you or anything and the techs also didn't care they seen and knew I was disturbed and was not coping well and it was policy over humanity. I seen I did not matter nor was cared about I was a inconvenience. Thats not saying all the nurses and techs were that way. One in particular didn't understand and didn't care that due to my medical condition I must lay down often, but she insisted I wasn't allowed to lay down and her words "you don't have that right to lay down your not home" I replied but the doctor even said I could lay down when I needed to. "That ain't got nothing to do with me" and continued to lock my door. She was on day shift. I felt so isolated I knew I made a mistake coming here . Then that night around midnight I was woken up and moved to the 3rd unit.
This is where it gets weird. Even tho I wasn't mistreated but when your there there is no real therapy no healing. Dr heart is a good doctor but very busy. He did listen . There seems to be a miscommunication between doctors orders and nurses understanding the orders. Like my lamictal was to be given on the morning but the nurses insisted it was pm I told Dr heart and he was even surprised they did that. I confronted the nurses and asked them all week to call Dr heart and they refused they all said that not gonna happen if you want something changed you'll have to wait until Dr heart is ready to see you. WOW! I get that there are polices i understand to a point. That point ends when my name turns to a number and when my humanity has no meaning. Its policy before humanity. There was a lot of "miscommunication " or " understanding " . This experience was miserable to say the best. My therapy was me praying and writing. Groups were not really informative more of a beginner course for teens. Nothing tackling real issues. There was only one group therapist that stood out I can't remember her name but I showed her my writings and she gave me some insight and im greatful for that day. So why one star ? I needed and still need help. And I got more grief then help. The nurses are not there for you! They are only there to monitor and administer your medication the techs are only there to maintain order. Noone is there to be on your side Noone is there to help you through your issues. Its made clear you do that on your own time when your released . To quote one nurse to the T " I got my own problems im not here for you".
I have Complex P.T.S.D, A.D.H.D, Bipolar,
Anxiety/Panic Disorder, Over Compulsive Disorder, social anxiety and Claustrophobia. Not to mention voices in my head. Its fare to say I have issues. My plate is full. I really needed compassion . As where i feel completely isolated and alone . I needed to feel I was OK or to say the least I needed "hope"
Instead I was even more isolated. I was out of place . So the little papers we sign at night about our goals is 50/50 honesty. Not that I lied but no room to write other then direct answers and any of my positive answers was solely from what little I could put in retrospect .
Rolling hills Hospital failed me.
