This place doesn't even deserve 1 star. Looking from the inside out, as an ex employee, you see all the corruption. The new FA Zach (who is clueless), only comes in from about 9am until 3pm then is done for the day. The virtual clinic is a joke, and the billing department illegally takes money out of patients account, then when you dispute it, they cut patients off of their Suboxone and leave then stranded with a 28 day dose down. Which in turn will cause someone to withdraw when they can't find another provider to prescribe it after 28 days. Spero is slowly drowning, and everyone will see that very soon in the near future. If you are a patient at Spero, GET OUT NOW!!

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal. The length of stay at the detoxification program is determined according to the specific needs of the patient.

Treatments

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image

Adult Program

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

I believe I have the best Spero team! Dr. J is very professional, he listens with compassion but sure doesn't to let you know if he not pleased. Loretta and. Avery are awesome. Tim is the icing on the cake. There was a bit of a turn around when Spero opened, and curriculum was touch and go, but now, it's a well oiled machine an I truly care for each and every one.

Wouldn't give this place a single star but had to just to get the word out. This clinic is by far the most horrible place of money hungry liers and frauds! The Dr. I was supposed to look up to for care almost killed me with a sublocade shot that I didn't even want to get due to a car accident and I had head trama plus all over. He told me I was going to have to be cut off after only being there two weeks because they didn't write subutech tablets even though that's what they approved and started me on due to anaphylactic reaction. So then basically forced me to get the shot if it didn't work they would keep writing tablets. The doctor did not counsel me on the sublocade shot. He then administered the shot wrong injecting the shot in scar tissue due to having kids. Causing a systematic shock through entire body. Once I tried to tell them the issues they then told me I was taking it to far and told me to go to impatient. I have 2 other doctors statements saying it should have never been attempted. This place is a joke and do not care about anyone but their money. The doctor gets paid for every shot given. Do not go to this place for help... I would recommend journey pure in Knoxville if u need addiction treatment and counseling.

The staff is wonderful and helpful, everyone is always in a good mood. They help with medication to get you out of your addiction and help motivate you to put your own work into your recovery. The groups and counseling are a must along with medication and you can get all of those services here so you don't have to go to multiple places to get help.

Response from the owner
Thank you for leaving us a review Mrs Chris! Our team at Spero Health in Lenoir City are excited to provide addiction treatment services for those struggling in the area and are thrilled to welcome new patients everyday who've made the same choice to join us on their recovery journey. We are so happy to hear how positive your experience with us was, and hope that this inspires others to begin their own journey so they too can can also experience the joy of recovery.

This place has caused me to relapse after being clean from opiates for over 9 years, the where aware my wife and I are now homeless and struggling GB long, but still hold suboxone over our heads, they make us attend group every week knowing we drive 1 1/2 hr each way, I had a job to do today to earn enough for us to eat and get a room out of the heat just for today but made us stay from 2pm till 530pm for a group that let out 13 minutes early, and then refused to call in our meds, because I went outside for 11 minutes to sell some of my tools to get food, my wife stayed for the group but they are punishing her for my speaking up about it this is because last week I filed a formal complaint, they are retaliating for that action . They are wanting me to relapse, this place needs sued for negligence and malpractice
