The girl who did my intake paperwork was an angel. Her name was Jennifer. She explained everything so that it was easy to understand and made me feel so peaceful. Walking through the door to get help was so hard, but she made it easy. She reminded me that no matter where I am in life that I am still wanted and loved . Sobriety isn’t easy, but she is 100 percent the reason I am alive. Sometimes all you need is one person to remind you how loved and wanted you are and she is as that person for me. I just called as a first time patient attempting to make an appointment, and after having the worst experiences at so many separate places, had almost given up hope... I had pretty poor expectations after seing the stars on google, but I called today, the Athens number, and transferred to someone for first appointments. I had the best and most hopeful experience in trying to get help my entire adult life. I talked to them for 30 minutes, and explained way more than they asked or I should have, but they just stayed so patient and kind. It was truly a different experience, and left me feeling positive and hopeful towards my induction telecomm interview tomorrow. Was treated with much respect and the staff was great the whole time I was there. Would highly recommend to anyone that wants to get out of any addiction. The staff there all truly cared and did their very best to help give me my life back and the only thing I didn’t like was that I couldn’t stay there a little longer because benzo withdrawal is as scary as it gets. They did what they could to get me help, change my meds, etc., and I appreciate it. They were there when I needed them. Staff members were awesome, took the time to listen and understand my situation. Dr. M. Slatton, Dr. L. Atkinson, and case manager Grace Reynolds were my doctors, friends, and most of all my rock. My therapist Dr. Slatton was there to help me with my problems and mental health. Always gave the right advice. Dr. Atkinson made sure that my meds were right for me. And case manager Grace Reynolds has made sure that I had everything I needed to get and always asked if there was anything that she can help me with even if it was food transportation. Always had her heart to help me in any of my needs. Overall, my five years experience at this facility which includes staffs and personnel, it was excellent. I would recommend anyone that needs help to them with my eyes closed. Keep up the great work.
