The amount of people complaining about wait times baffle me. We do not have many resources in Cleveland for mental help so they are under staffed and no a big facility.
I agree with some of the comments about some of the workers but I have met also some of the most amazing people iv ever met with special hearts!
Taking care of my mental was a big step this year for me.
Hiwassee made me feel safe to do so and my care managers and therapist are god sent.
And I don’t know if yall are complaining about the two ladies up front now but they are always so sweet and caring and try finding a plan if I need help.
As far as resources at the end of every meeting I have they ask if I need any and if I need help with living somewhere.
Dont let the negative comments bring you down!
Make the decision for your family, kids, friends.

My intake interview was via telehealth and it was a lovely experience. Lydia Wilson.Wilson is kind, patient and knowledgeable. The center gives you the choice between having an in person or online therapist, and also a choice between male and female.
I’m looking forward to my first therapy appointment today. I have a good gut feeling about it.
First appointment was really easy to make, the second one was stranger - the appointment setter was quiet for minutes at a time without any explanation. However, I decided this is too important for me to act like an entitled brat, so I was patient and got an appointment for the day and the time of day I need it.

I don't know know her name, but I wish I did to compliment her. I just called as a first time patient attempting to make an appointment, and after having the worst experiences at so many separate places, had almost given up hope... I had pretty poor expectations after seing the stars on google, but I called today, the Athens number, and transferred to someone for first appointments. I had the best and most hopeful experience in trying to get help my entire adult life. I talked to them for 30 minutes, and explained way more than they asked or I should have, but they just stayed so patient and kind. It was truly a different experience, and left me feeling positive and hopeful towards my induction telecomm interview tomorrow.

The staff here are wonderful and actually care about the patients and treat them like real people. They were understaffed and I didn't get to see a therapist every day, but I did get to see a psychiatrist every day to help adjust my medicines each day. A Great Experience at Focus Treatment Center
I came to Focus Treatment Center in Chattanooga thinking I would only stay for two weeks, but the team recommended 28 days. Looking back, I’m very grateful I listened to their recommendation. I clearly wouldn’t have been there in the first place if I had already known exactly what I was doing, and giving myself the full time to focus on recovery made a real difference.
What stood out most to me was how personalized the treatment was. The staff took the time to understand me as an individual rather than treating everyone the same. They also did a great job involving my family, helping us communicate better and work through issues that had been affecting all of us. The program goes beyond simply addressing substance abuse—it gives you an opportunity to understand yourself, your behaviors, your relationships, and what needs to change for long-term recovery.
Another thing I really appreciated was the specialized aftercare they provided. They took the time to understand my unique situation and helped develop an aftercare plan tailored specifically to my needs. Knowing that I had continued support and a plan in place after leaving gave me a lot more confidence about maintaining the progress I had made.
The overall environment was also excellent. The rooms, food, amenities, and extracurricular activities made the experience comfortable and gave me opportunities to relax and connect with others while still staying focused on healing. The staff were supportive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping people succeed.
I also found the classes to be very informative. They were based on current research as well as the center’s experience working with people in recovery, and I walked away with practical information and a better understanding of myself and my recovery.
For me, Focus provided a much-needed break from everyday life—a chance to disconnect from outside distractions and really focus on healing and personal growth. The value went well beyond simply addressing substance abuse. It was about learning how to live differently, understanding myself better, and building a better foundation for the future.
All in all, it was a great experience, and I highly recommend Focus Treatment Center to anyone who is ready to make a change and willing to put in the work.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Iris Wellness. From first contact after hours on a weekend, to accepting my son for treatment even before we had payment worked out, to working with my insurance to get everything covered in-network when they were technically out of network to the fantastic intensive outpatient services. I have seen a dramatic difference in my son from, mood, attitude and overall life goals. He has always enjoyed going and has never once complained. Benton, TN | Embark Behavioral Health - Benton in Benton, Tennessee, is an accredited residential mental and behavioral health treatment center and school. It’s based among the picturesque mountains of Tennessee. Support here is available to teen boys and young men. Flexible payment is available, and various insurance options are accepted. The center’s uniq | Treatments Programs Payment Options | From the very first phone call to the day Mason was discharged, our experience with Embark in Benton, TN exceeded every expectation we had.
As a parent, placing your child in residential treatment is one of the hardest decisions you’ll ever make. The entire staff at Embark made that process so much easier by treating both Mason and our family with kindness, compassion, and respect every step of the way. I probably sent far more texts and emails than most parents, constantly checking in and asking questions, yet not a single person ever made me feel like I was being a burden. Every message was answered promptly, every concern was taken seriously, and I always felt heard.
What stood out most was how genuinely invested everyone was in Mason. From the treatment team and residential staff to the front desk, every single person took the time to truly know him. He wasn’t just another resident, he was Mason. They learned his personality, celebrated his successes, encouraged him through his struggles, and built relationships that made him feel safe, supported, and valued.
Communication throughout his stay was exceptional. The team consistently kept us informed, responded quickly, held appointments as scheduled, and welcomed us during family visits. We always knew they wanted what was best for Mason, and that gave us tremendous peace of mind.
Mason spent 64 days at Embark, and the growth we saw in that short time was nothing short of remarkable. He came home more patient, more present, more thoughtful, and with skills that will continue to help him long after treatment. We know his journey isn’t over, but Embark gave him a foundation that we truly believe changed the course of his life.
There simply aren’t enough words to express our gratitude to every single person who played a role in Mason’s care. Thank you for treating our son like your own, for believing in him, and for walking alongside our family during one of the most difficult seasons of our lives. We will always be grateful.

I was terrified about the decision for my son to attend Embark in Benton. But I knew on the first day that he would be safe and valued, just based on how patient they were with him through the onboarding process. Throughout his time there, they saw his good through his pain and anger. They worked with him and me to teach us new ways. The place itself was beautiful and my son spent so much time in his happy place of nature. When things were very hard for him, they communicated with me and never gave up. The residential staff are God-sent people. I loved that turnover was so low, that I really knew all the staff by the end of the process. They were familiar and comforting during family visits. ALL the staff - care coordinator, Jaime, Chris, Jake, the nurses, the therapist team, Nathan, residential coaches - were consistently compassionate, communicative, and provided quality, individualized treatment for my family.

I was really impressed by how I was treated at my first appointment. I was taken back on time and no wait once back there to see the dr. I left with a sense that I was at the right place to treat my issues at hand. We came up with a treatment plan that I like. I felt like these people actually care and want to help me. I was treated well here. I will follow-up with this review after I have had more visits.

New to the facility. Counselor Janet is great. Very professional and caring. NP karen brazzle seems to be a good nurse practitioner. Seemed to really want to help. For people like me who are seriously struggling with life, she seemed to care. And wants to help.
EDIT 8-14-24
I've been seeing Karen Brazzle for approx 3 years now. I have nothing but good things to say. I don't know how to explain her in a few words, so I'll do my best. Kind, caring, knowledge, passionate, and will take the time needed. Im not the type to visit a place like this, much less stay. But I'm over 3 years. The staff is nice and hospitable, as much as they can be. Scheduling has never been an issue. I use the in house pharmacy Genoa. I've decided to come off most, but they were always ready for pick up and we're offered to be shipped. I can't promise you'll get assigned Karen, and I have t encountered any other practicioners. They do exclusively telehealth, so if that's a problem for you. I believe their counseling is done in house, and can't comment on those staff. If you're struggling and need help, the low rating that is shown hasn't at all been my experience. Hope this finds you well.
