My intake interview was via telehealth and it was a lovely experience. Lydia Wilson.Wilson is kind, patient and knowledgeable. The center gives you the choice between having an in person or online therapist, and also a choice between male and female. I’m looking forward to my first therapy appointment today. I have a good gut feeling about it. First appointment was really easy to make, the second one was stranger - the appointment setter was quiet for minutes at a time without any explanation. However, I decided this is too important for me to act like an entitled brat, so I was patient and got an appointment for the day and the time of day I need it.

Ok the staff members were very nice and understanding. Met some nice people. But I didn’t like how I couldn’t wear my wedding ring and my engagement ring. It was sad because I was literally by myself for 5 days and when I wasn’t wearing my rings some people thought I was divorced. But I wasn’t. I wish I could have kept my rings.

The staff here are wonderful and actually care about the patients and treat them like real people. They were understaffed and I didn't get to see a therapist every day, but I did get to see a psychiatrist every day to help adjust my medicines each day. Even though they were short staffed, the care and attention they showed made this a wonderful experience. I would definitely go back if I ever needed to.

Embark has been such a great experience for both my 17 year old son and me and his father. It’s intense as it is a 3 month long residential program, but I feel like everyone at Embark really cares about making things better for young boys that are neurodivergent and have behavioral issues. The staff works really hard to help the boys develop better coping skills so that they can be successful in life. The program also helps parents by providing tools for parenting children that are atypical. I can say that our son’s counselor Kevin truly made a difference in all of our lives. Our son would agree too. The weekly parent support group was helpful in that parents can connect and realize that you’re not alone. The other staff, psychiatrist, nurses are all very communicative and committed to what they do. We as a family are in a much better place now because of Embark.

Our soon attended Embark for 90 days. During his stay he learned many skills to help him better navigate day to day life. He also learned a lot about himself, allowing him to communicate effectively about his feelings and what maybe upsetting him. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Iris Wellness. From first contact after hours on a weekend, to accepting my son for treatment even before we had payment worked out, to working with my insurance to get everything covered in-network when they were technically out of network to the fantastic intensive outpatient services. I have seen a dramatic difference in my son from, mood, attitude and overall life goals. He has always enjoyed going and has never once complained. I can't thank them enough for everything that they have done and how they have changed our lives (my son's, mine and our family as a whole). I would recommended Iris to anyone with a struggling teen.

Thank you Harmony Oaks for taking a chance on me! From day 1 when I came to tour the place, I was surrounded with smiling faces who believed in me and promised to take care of me. There’s so many people who made an impact on me, so forgive me for missing any names - I did not have a negative personal experience with anyone. The staff told me about their recovery and were straight up - real humans, who let me cry with them, be vulnerable, and really understood me. Danielle and Nick were the first staff I met. Danielle gave me a big hug and assured me that she would help me push through and has been a radiant light at the front desk daily. Nick came running in and said I have to meet her and said I was his favorite person when I didn’t even know him and they both continued to keep me in check and show me love, while I learned to love myself. The therapists - Andy, Tanner, Paula, Abi, Teni, and more - were very knowledgeable and gave me a variety of different perspectives, knowledge, and advice. My case manager, Desiree had the biggest heart too. Someone who gets a lot of heat, but does not deserve it, we laughed, cried, reminded each other to keep smiling on the touch days, and got business handled together. The clinical director, Amber and clinical supervisor, Doug were so sweet to me and down to earth. Talking to them was so easy and never felt like talking to the “principals.” Last, but not least, the Techs/BHTs, are extremely appreciated. I learned throughout my recovery that leading with Kindness and Love, will get you so much farther with what you need and request from them, and they will give you the world within their means. The Techs that stood out to me the most were Stephanie, Bethany, Crystal, Helena, Kelly, and Sam. Forgive me if I forgot anyone who really helped me in my journey but I love all of you guys and cannot thank you enough!! I am so excited to get through the program and to be apart of the Alumni group!

Therefore making my day and this place a far better living and learning environment.

If your teenager is showing signs of drug or alcohol addiction and you aren’t sure where to go for help, Parkridge Valley Hospital could be the answer. I’ve been here twice sub acute is the only good thing about this hospital and even that isn’t that good the only reason why I’m even leaving a comment on this place is because of the staff or else I would say it’s not worth my time because this place is terrible the doctor is funny and says the most out of pocket things the best staff there are miss Emily,Mr Jared,Mr Kenny and miss Amy those are what the four stars are for other then that this place is a 0 that wasn’t a choice so I couldn’t make another comment for that but and Mr John he was cool too okay bye now.
