DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. This place houses many rude and unprofessional staff members. My guess is that the majority of the patients they see are ex-criminals with drug histories....because they treated me like one. I stayed here for six months and was continuously ignored by my doctor when I told her my medicine was not helping me. She would bump the dosage of my meds up instead of switch them, causing me to be extremely tired most of the day. She gave me an extremely hard time about giving me my adderall prescription even though I had previously been on adderall for 14 years prior to coming to Hiwasse (I even took a drug test for her and passed it). I remember consistently hearing several staff members ask me if I was “doing good in my program, or had any relapses?” To which I would always respond, “umm what program? I’m not here for drug abuse. I don’t abuse drugs, never have. I just have anxiety” I’ve been threatened that if I try an find a different doctor that they would flag my chart and note that I have been “doctor shopping” so I have waited as long as possible. This week I realized that I have been having reacurring thoughts of suicide, and enough is enough. I have a beautiful 8 month old child who deserves a happy mom. Hiwasse is not helping, and it is worth the risk to find a doctor who will. Don’t waste your time here.

They helped me get clean, and taught me alot. It has its ups & downs There was a lot to offer that gave me the tools I needed to stay clean. I graduated from their program in October 2021 and I’m still clean. They had some amazing employees & some that were questionable. My only complaint is that a couple employees shouldn’t be allowed to be in charge of recovering addicts. Again that’s based on back in 2021 so that may have changed. Overall I will recommend them to anyone seeking recovery, for sure.

Providence Recovery Place is truly a beacon of hope and healing. The professional, caring staff, many of whom have personally walked the recovery path, create a powerful community where lives are transformed. I've witnessed countless residents return to work, to family, and to continue their education, a testament to the program's lasting impact. One resident endearingly described Our Master's Camp as the 'brotherhood of the broken'—a compassionate, faith-filled community that helps break the chains of addiction and find true hope in Christ ... a real healing community. Through my work listening and documenting residents' stories, I am deeply impressed by the strong faith, genuine care, and remarkable success stories of so many whose lives have been changed. This is more than recovery; it’s a life restored.

And that's in every office I've been to and I've been to them all. And the doctors take their time they listen they ask questions make sure you're okay before you walk out the door. I've had two stays, both had ups and downs, but of all the mental hospitals I've been in this one is the worst, minus a few people (who I applauded on my survey). My first stay was WAY too long but I had a great doctor who got me on much needed medication, so that was good. My second stay was too short and when they couldn't get me the meds I needed they basically got rid of me asap. You no longer have to earn the right to wear your clothes, instead of scrubs, so that's nice. I can't speak for all halls but in harbor town, the "high functioning" unit, there are some serious problems. I could go on and on but it can be summed up in these few words: crowded, loud, cramped, outdated, and dirty.

I've been at RW for a year and just graduated last week. RW is a smaller clinical facility than most which allows for a more individualized treatment experience. The BHT, Sam, is a wonderful person who always has a great attitude and a smile. Lydia is the case manager for RW and she's always ready to assist in any way possible. She helped me navigate some legal issues in another state, even. The skills I honed at RW have undoubtedly secured a promising future where I had thought that was never possible.

This recovery house has truly been a life-changing place. The environment is safe, supportive, and filled with people who actually care about your growth. The staff lead with compassion and structure, giving you the tools to succeed without judgment. It feels less like a program and more like a family that wants the best for you. I am a client at this clinic and I can say there r some good people on the staff not only r they good counselors/nurses they r almost friends. The doc is a good dude that knows his stuff and even when u might bomb a drug screen they have been quite understanding and have always worked with me. When being on MAT one can find that it can b frustrating having to take the meds every day and having to pay money for it. but I have discovered this place is not about just making a profit off of one it really is to offer a good service or services at the cheapest possible price in the area. Ik it was a personal mission for the person who founded this place to really try to find a way for a person who is low income to b able to afford the services they offer and even much further more than that! These people have worked with me many times. It is far better to have access to the meds they offer than to rely on or be involved w opioids on the st. I was once a patient at crossroads and I can say I was not treated anywhere near as well as I have been treated as this firm. If u r candid honest and work w the staff they will tenfold do the same back. If u r dealing w addiction and dependence on the street I personally would recommend u come see these people. Ty
