I am only 13 years old, but joining this facility was one of the best decisions I've made. I have made so much progress that I'm thankful for and I wouldn't be where I'm at today if it weren't for them. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Iris Wellness. From first contact after hours on a weekend, to accepting my son for treatment even before we had payment worked out, to working with my insurance to get everything covered in-network when they were technically out of network to the fantastic intensive outpatient services. I have seen a dramatic difference in my son from, mood, attitude and overall life goals. He has always enjoyed going and has never once complained. I can't thank them enough for everything that they have done and how they have changed our lives (my son's, mine and our family as a whole). I would recommended Iris to anyone with a struggling teen.

Coming from Canada, I was hesitant. But God knew that S2L was exactly where I needed to be. At 64 years of age, I was able to discover my true identity, purpose, and mission in Christ. They help you in trying to get clean and sober for sure. But what S2L and the staff are all about is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. That’s why it is so successful.

I am writing this review as a concerned family member of a resident currently at Dismas Charities Atlanta West. While I understand that transitional housing and rehabilitation programs come with rules and structure, the way this facility operates raises serious concerns about whether it is truly serving its purpose of rehabilitation and reintegration. Upon arrival, residents are told they must wait up to ten business days before they are allowed to meet with their counselor. During this waiting period, they are unable to schedule job interviews, obtain a government ID, or access other essential documents needed to secure employment. This delay directly undermines the goal of helping residents transition successfully back into society. It is especially disheartening because many individuals leave incarceration eager to work and rebuild their lives — some even have job opportunities waiting for them — yet the system in place here prevents them from moving forward. Another major issue is the lack of consideration for residents’ long-term living situations. If a resident’s permanent home is, for example, in Roswell, GA, it makes little sense to require them to find employment near the halfway house instead of near their future residence. This short-term approach sets them up for transportation struggles and instability once they leave the program. Additionally, there appears to be no structured programming, classes, or workshops available to residents. There are no educational or skill-building opportunities, no mental health activities, and no community engagement efforts. Rehabilitation is not just about confinement — it should be about growth, structure, and preparation for reentry. Allowing residents to sit idle every day without constructive activities is not rehabilitation; it’s stagnation. Even more concerning, I have repeatedly heard staff members make inappropriate jokes or threats related to residents’ freedom — such as telling them they’ll be “written up” or “sent back to jail” over chores or minor issues. Freedom is not a joke, and those words are deeply harmful, especially for individuals who already struggle with trauma or mental health conditions such as PTSD. These comments are not motivational — they are demeaning and triggering, and they go against the very idea of providing a supportive, rehabilitative environment. This facility could have so much potential to truly change lives if leadership would invest in better programming, quicker case management access, trauma-informed staff training, and a more individualized approach that takes into account where residents will actually live and work after release. These changes would not only improve outcomes for the individuals but would also reflect positively on the mission of Dismas Charities as a whole. People deserve a fair chance at rebuilding their lives. Unfortunately, the current system at Dismas Charities Atlanta West makes that much harder than it needs to be. I sincerely hope this feedback reaches someone in a position to make changes — because the residents there, and their families, deserve better.

This place - these people - are helping to save my life by the day. Clean facility, excellent staff, great atmosphere. I've made so many lifelong friends here.. I consider them family. I learn so many new things to help me in my recovery each day and by the minute. Therapist, group leaders, case manager and medical staff are all wonderful and attentive. JourneyPure gives food for the soul.

Journey Pure's outpatient center in Knoxville is a fantastic option for IOP. The staff are so kind and caring and really supportive of your recovery. The providers are knowledgeable and extremely helpful in filling and adjusting MAT/psych/general medications. The therapists and group leaders are wonderful and understanding of any situation and they show so much love. I highly recommend this center for IOP for anyone in recovery.

This place literally has changed my life. Im so glad I committed myself to this program and allowed myself to be able to make changes in my life. To the therapists, the staff, everyone was amazing! As this was my first time in intensive therapy I didn’t know what to expect but it was great experience. That taught me so many things about myself. This place is a game changer and life sustainer!

Could not recommend a better program! They truly care about your overall health - mental and physical.

I volunteered to go there on my own. I was feeling upset and depressed. I was told it would help. They're getting a 2 because the staff is very nice. They are all very helpful and sweet. The facility itself needs to be cleaned. It created more anxiety for me than I had. The floors were sticky. There was NO antibacterial soap. I constantly used germx whenever I saw some. I never saw anybody wiping tables (or anything else) whether it be with a rag or an antibacterial wipe. For those that went there for high levels of anxiety, good luck to them. I am so glad to be home to a clean environment. Again, the nurses, volunteers, therapists, lunch staff, and everyone else I met were very nice and went out of their way though.

I've had nothing but good experiences at this place it was one of the best decisions I've ever made...

The assessment portion was great but the "Urgent" portion is not. It took 3 days for someone to call about meds and that appointment is a month away. We still haven't found a therapist in the system that accepts Medicare. This has added to the stress.

Best place for rehabilitation. Great staff team 💪 Top notch housing.

I want people to understand something important about the program. When you complete it and leave, the medications they use as “crutches” (like SSRIs) are not designed to be permanent solutions — but they don’t really prepare you for what happens when you try to come off them. In my case, when I finished the program, I was left with nothing but “good luck.” No tapering support, no real plan, no follow-up guidance. The withdrawal from SSRI medication was a horrific experience, and I had to seek out a separate doctor on my own afterward just to cope. People should know going in: the program does provide structure and tools while you’re there, but the aftercare is lacking, especially around medication dependence. Be ready to advocate for yourself and find outside medical support when you leave.

THEY TAKE CARE OF THE PATIENT IT MUST BE UNDER NEW OWNERS BECAUSE THE LAST GROUP WAS HORRIBLE WHEN I WENT THERE YEARS AGO NO HELP AND ATTITUDE.THE 2 WOMEN OF COLOR AND A MAN IM SO GLAD EVERYTHING TURNED AROUND AND FELICIA I HAD TO KEEP ON CALLING FOR HOUSING SHE EMAILS ME THE PAPERS I HAD TO GET AND TOLD ME TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT FOR HOUSING NOW SHES GONE AND IM ON THE WAITING LIST .CONFUSING I NEED HELP I HAD TO MOVE BEFORE MY APPOINTMENT .GEESH HOPEFULLY ILL BE CALLED SOON MY MOM PASSED AWAY SHE WAS THE SOLE PAYEER WHILE I WAS DOING HOSPICE WITH HER I COULD NOT AFFORD THE APARTMENT SO IT WAS EITHER I GET EVICTED SO MY FRIEND WAS GENEROUS ENOUGH TO TAKE ME IN AND MY FRIENDS HELP ME MOVE AND MY FRIEND IM STAYING WITH I STILL HAVE TO PAY SHE LET ME PUT MY BELONGS IN HER GARAGE.WAITING FOR HOUSING TO HELP ME PAY HER.

I've been at this facility for the past 3 years, and their service is incredible. They're welcoming, informative, and provide excellent resources to access your essentials. Comparably, all of the Positive Impact facilitations are highly recommended!
